Matthew arrived to discover that after years of use a small area in the grout had deteriorated to allow water through. He cane several times to repair the grout, removed and replaced the damaged area of the ceiling re-sanded and repainted.....all done free for us! You don't find that kind of support often these days. As a woman and trying to handle the situation, because of Jim's heart attack, has not gone very well. I have been talked to like I was stupid, huge mistake by them and then laughed in my face by the Vice President of the company Steve. They are not sure, but believe that the windows are missing felt. I was told that it would take 2 weeks to get felt stripping in. I did tell him that I could get it quicker from Amazon, he laughed in my face and told me atinotes were not going to get me any where. Well, I can tell you this, they may not, but this story can. Like Jimmy said, he thinks he is not expendable and news flash you are. The big box stores eating at your door step and this how you treat people???? How many more Lowes and Menerards until you are gone?? Try and help the little guy out and this is how you get treated. This is only half of how we have been treated. I can only imagine how the women employees are treated in the store. OH, and YES that is ICE, on the inside of my windows!!! The "felt" was finally delivered, only to be some kind of plastic stripping. Has anyone called about installing it???? Nope!! So, when purchasing windows be very careful. If you want to prolong a kitchen model, this is your place! We thought Hood's was great when we…read morefirst ordered our KraftMaid cabinets. Kaiti seemed knowledgeable and the process was fairly easy. We made our original purchase on 12/27/25 and were told they would be delivered in about 4 weeks. Well, 6.5 weeks later on 2/10/26 they were FINALLY delivered. KraftMaid seemed like a good quality cabinet but their manufacturing needs major help. We had TWO different cabinets that only had shelf holes on one side. One cabinet with a HUGE scratch on the front frame. One cabinet didn't have the drawer face connected and was sent separately without the proper hardware to install (it wasn't just simply screwing it in). One cabinet that had the wrong door swing. One cabinet the shelf holes started at 7" from the bottom and the other side 7.25". Makes great for level shelves. Finally our end panels for our island were ordered too thick so they would stick out. We went back to Hood's with the list of problems and Kaiti was very apologetic and said she would have everything fixed. We had already installed the 2 uppers without the shelf holes because we didn't notice it until we went to put the shelves in. She said since we did that already she wouldn't order new ones and instead give us a discount. We were ok with that. She also said we would get some sort of reimbursement for the other issues as well, she just needed to contact KraftMaid. Moving forward, the upper cabinet with the large scratch was reordered along with the end panels. She said expect them in 3-4 weeks. This was on 2/18/26. We did not receive the order until 3/26 which was a whole fiasco in itself because they wanted to wait until the following week because they didn't have delivery drivers. Luckily, someone outside of cabinets, I think his name was Matt and the only helpful one at Hood's, got my call and personally picked them up from the local warehouse and delivered it to us. He was awesome. Here's the next best part, Kaiti ordered the WRONG end panels AGAIN!! We're going on 3 months now from our original order date. We go speak with the cabinet manager, Randy, and told him everything. He said he had talked to Kaiti about giving us some reimbursement but she never followed through. Her communication skills were terrible. They only thing she kept relaying is that she gets to retire in several months. She should have retired before we purchased our cabinets. Anyway, Randy only offered us a reimbursement of $250 after spending over $14k on our cabinets. We finally got $500 out of him. Should have pushed for more but we were fed up at this point. He went ahead and ordered the correct end panels and said he would have them expedited and we should have them in no more than 2 weeks. Ha! Ha! This was 3/26 and our end panels finally arrived on 4/22. We will NEVER return to Hood's again. It was an absolute shit show. Almost 4 months for all our correct pieces to come in.

Ben, Tony, Casper, and others are able to answer any question, on the phone and in person. The Benjamin Moore paints are great quality. In each room, we painted the ceiling, walls, and trim + baseboards. We didn't think the original ceilings were dark nor "dingy," but after seeing the new Benjamin Moore paint, we realized that they were dark and dingy... the Benjamin Moore ceiling paint is nice and bright and makes the room look SO MUCH BETTER! We also painted the walls and baseboards and trim. The baseboard and trim paint is amazing... it's "self-smoothing," which means that while you may see some light brush strokes on the surface shortly after you apply the paint, once you wake in the morning, the surfaces will be so nice and smooth, AND BRIGHT! ...just like the ceilings. When all surfaces are newly painted, you'll feel like you have a whole new house. Flanagan's has all the paint and painting supplies you need. Beyond paint, we also purchased... - an extension pole, which worked incredibly well... I didn't think it would save time compared to standing on the ladder, but I was MUCH quicker with the pole - so nice! - uncounted rollers - new roller so we could roll simultaneously - that little yellow thing to put on the top of the can so you don' have so much wasted paint when you pour from the can into the roller pan - inexpensive and worth every penny and then some - Krud Cutter - AMAZING for removing paint from the hard wood floors and for getting any grit and grime off any surfaces - stove, cabinets, countertops, and also the blinds THANK YOU, Flanagan's, for helping us make our house look so wonderfully nice! - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Dec., 2020 Review - - - Our daughter's wanted to paint her bedroom for a while and we were able to make the time to finally paint a couple weekends ago. We visited Flanagan for the first time and it won't be the last. Their selection is strong... not only the wall paint and the many levels to choose from. They have all the brushes and drop cloths and other supplies to paint with. They also carry stains for wood and other surfaces. They also carry some handy box cutter knives up by the register. Saw online they are selling returned tools…read more They had a nice selection from Ryobi, Ridgid, Milwaukee, and DeWalt. Stopped in as I've been looking for some new tools. Noah let me check out the tools and crack open a box to make sure everything looked good and wasn't missing any parts. The rotary tool(Dremel as most of us call them) was missing a few pieces from kit so he knocked a little off the price. The oscillating tool was new in the box and had no apparent issues, got it home and it seems to work just fine. The rotary tool turns on and doesn't appear to have any damage! We had previously purchased a washer and dryer as well(not on this trip though) Great price for some new/mostly new tools!

Our experience with them was outstanding, from start to finish. Design and installation of our massive set of bookcases-- double-sided, 9 feet high by 9 feet long - went very smoothly, the finished product was gorgeous, and we could not be happier with the outcome. Dave and his group are wood artists; they were exacting in their manufacturing and installation of the bookcases. The bookcases are beautiful, truly a work of art, and look like they have always been in the space- a gorgeous addition to our home. This group also went the extra mile in terms of the respect they had for our home, how careful and fastidious they were during the installation process, including moving furniture, etc as needed -- and they even took care of a nasty (possibly poisonous) spider problem (which we were unaware of). This is an exceptional group of expert craftsmen that we wholeheartedly and unreservedly recommend.
