I always go there for manicures and pedicures. Service is professional, polite and done well. Salon is always clean.

I visited this salon for the first time on February 12 and asked for an acrylic full set, showing the technician a reference photo of what I wanted. I ended up leaving with a completely different result. The nails were uneven and had visible bubbles, but I didn't say anything at the time because I was in a hurry. Less than 10 days later, the gel polish started peeling, and by February 27 (just two weeks later), the acrylic had completely lifted off. I have never had a full set last only two weeks before -- even at lower-quality salons -- especially when there is a gel top coat. Unfortunately, this was one of the worst nail experiences I've ever had, especially considering how expensive it was. To make matters worse, the person who did my nails was the owner himself, and no cuticle cleaning was done during the service. Very disappointing overall. read more

First time booking an appointment and I will not go back again. Nail tech was upset that I didn't block out time to cut my cuticles and made her run behind for her next client. Gave me the wrong nail shape and did a terrible job with French tip. I had another nail tech repaint my nails, but left with a totally different set of nails than what I asked for. read more

When I first moved here, I went to them and they were fantastic. I had the woman named Karen. She did my nails phenomenal. I stopped going for a while because my aunt didn't like it and she was disgusted with them so if we went someplace else and I didn't like where my aunt went I dislike the place Venus nails, so I got a gift certificate for my birthday and we finally went back and the owner Joe. he is fantastic. He knows what you want. He does the shape he does the color and your nails last 2 to 3 weeks. I recommend this place. read more

My 16 year old daughter and I did not have a good experience here. Earlier in the week, my daughter made an appointment for a French manicure and was told over the phone that it was $20. After her nails were done, she was charged $36. She questioned it and was told they gave her a French gel manicure instead, which was not what she wanted. She had enough money to pay, but did not have enough for a tip. She texted me for help. I was waiting in the car and came inside. When I found out what happened, I told the woman at the front desk that she had made an appointment for a $20.00 French manicure, no gel. She replied that it had been written in the book as a gel (she didn't acknowledge this was a mistake) and then proceeded to BLAME THE CUSTOMER by saying that my daughter should have said something "when the machines were brought out." ??!?! I told her that neither my daughter has never had a gel manicure so how was she supposed to know??? She again went on to BLAME THE CUSTOMER and offered a half-hearted apology. Obviously, we won't be back. My strong recommendation to mgmt is to train the staff and technicians to verify with the customer what is being done before starting. Placing the blame on a 16 year old who just wanted to pay with her own money is poor business. Very poor. read more

I have been here twice. The first time was in August for a pedicure. A young man did my pedicure and he was fantastic, didn't rush through and it was an excellent experience. I went back January to have a manicure and was extremely disappointed. I mainly went because of the price ($15) which was a lot cheaper than where I ordinarily go. But .... The nail tech didn't shape my nails right to begin with then fixed them when I brought it to her attention, and she didn't cut my cuticles. I was sitting at what they call the nail bar. Unfortunately there was a woman who had fake nails right next to me and that tech was grinding down her nails creating dust. So that fine dust ended up landing on my hand closest to the other customer. The end result was my left handed nails felt like there was a layer of bumpy residue. My right had nails were smooth. I guess I got what I paid for. I will go back for a pedi, but not a mani. My advice make sure you are not next to someone that they are using that nail sander thing because the dust will land on your nails. It's inevitable read more

My daughter is too young to have her own account so I am posting on her behalf. If had been there with her I would have never paid for what appears to be horrible service. She has been asking for this "gel fill" at her normal salon for quite some time so she is very familiar with the steps. She went to Signature Nails with a group of friends. I'm sharing her words directly: A couple days ago I went to Signature nails in Freehold, NJ, and had a horrible experience with my manicure. I asked for a gel fill, and the guy who did my nails did not do any of the proper steps. I had to ask him multiple times to file them back, shape them, and make them even, which is what a gel fill is so I shouldn't have had to. Then, when he began to paint my nails he was in such a rush that he missed most of them, didn't wipe them off before putting on a topcoat, and the polish bubbled over. I had to ask him three times to redo them before they looked halfway decent. Furthermore, "adding insult to injury", when I checked out I was charged $50, which is an unreasonable price for the job that was done on my nails, and the most I've ever paid for a gel fill. I get my nails done much nicer for $35 at my normal salon all the time. I'm never going back to Signature Nails again. ::Me again: I'm sorry my daughter had to experience this. Hate to leave a bad review but I recommend that my fellow Yelpers stay away from Signature Nails! I went in on a random Sunday because my go-to salon was closed and I had desperately needed a fill for the next day. I called to make an appointment and they were able to squeeze me in with little notice - right away this was a sign that perhaps they're not that busy? Most good salons in the area can't accept walk ins so easily because they have loyal customers with regular time slots. Anyways, while my Nail technician, Joe, was a nice person, my nails were unacceptable. They were not what I asked for (coffin shape, not disheveled square) and on top of it, they looked uneven and sloppy. I had to clean them up myself for my important meeting the next day. Went here because my usual place was packed and I didn't feel like waiting. I still waited a while here, though (oops lol). Sort of ignored when I got in, had to approach someone already doing a person's nails (awkward). I got a mani/pedi by the same girl... she made my toe bleed which was awful. I had to ask her to pour a little alcohol on there because I didn't want to risk any infections. That was a big strike for me. Nails came out okay, but fingers were chipped by morning. I also thought it was a little pricey for a mani/pedi. The place is fairly nice, though. Seemed clean enough, had a big tv, decorated okay. Won't go back or recommend, though. read more

I always do Dip powder manicure, never had any issues at my regular salon. Came here in a pinch 2 days before Thanksgiving. The tech (Kim?) removed the powder I had on by filing it and half of my actual nails off. I mean it's to the point where it hurts to put regular polish on. She tried blaming it on my nails being thin - but again - I have never had pain like this before. Feels like my nails are raw meat. So now my nails look disgusting just in time for the Holidays. My daughter broke her arm and first thing she wants after she gets all okay is to get mani and pedi . See the emotional value attached here and I took her there as mom's daughter day. Wouldn't go back! I had Sarah (?) she seemed nice but rushed. She left a side gap between nail and polish on two fingers I had to point out twice and "bother" her to fix. The salon is beautiful but two huge drawbacks make me uncertain about returning. First and foremost the receptionist is rude and runs hot and cold. No one needs that! The salon's first impression comes from the receptionist. Depending on her mood, and who you are, you never know how you will be treated. Secondly, they still refuse to take credit cards, a year after covid, still blaming it on the pandemic. Those are the main major issues for me. Unfortunately these issues are big deterrents for me despite my fabulous nail technician Tammy who did an outstanding job. This salon may have lost a potentially great steady and loyal client. When the receptionist learns how to talk to people, perhaps it may be worth returning. The owner needs to put her in her place. People may see one side of her, but if you get a glimpse of the other side, it's easy to see she is untrained in how to deal with the public. No one explained to her that there is a certain level of professionalism that needs to be maintained in dealing with the public. As long as behavior like hers is permitted there will be no change. It's too bad for the salon. There are some good technicians. read more

I had a really great pedicure here! The staff is so friendly and takes their time with their clients. That's hard to find. I really enjoyed the manicurist who assisted me. Unfortunately I do not know her name but I would like to use her again in the future. She was super sweet and we had a great convo about Korean Ginger Tea! I arrived half hour before my appointment and once I said I was having gel and not a full set of tips they removed me from Joe who I had requested. I ended up with someone that wasn't recommended to me and that could have to do with this 3 star review. My lady was friendly but she kept hurting me during pedicure and gel manicure. They do a basic pedicure, no stones or anything like that. It was alright def not worth $25. Was more of a 18-20$ pedi. Then I had to sit an uncomfortable bar with a high stool that I kept sliding off for a gel manicure. I would rather have been in a regular chair. It took a good 10 mins when the gel manicure was complete to scrape off all the excess and stuff she got on my fingers. Needless to say, I probably won't be back. read more

First time here and Anne was awesome! She was very honest with me when I showed her a picture of what I wanted telling me it wasn't possible with the length of my nails. I was a little concerned when she said that but they came out perfect! She does an awesome job shaping them and keeping them thin (I hate chunky/thick acrylic). I have been going to Signature Nails for a while, mostly for the convenience, 2 weeks ago the owner called me to ask of i could come in 30 minutes later to accommodate another client without hesitation i said yes. Today i had a10:30 appt but do to the weather my children had a delayed opening. I pulled into the salons parking center 9 minutes late. As i pulled in my phone rang, it was Carol the receptionist telling me they were booked solid and could not accommodate me even after i reminded them that i was more then happy to help them when needed. Needless to say that is not how you treat a loyal customer and i will never again use them or recommend them. The worst manicure I have ever received. My cuticles were even not pushed back. Nor soaked, nor treated whatsoever until I commented on it. I can't even go on any further it was so beyond disappointing it was infuriating as if I had never received a manicure before and it was my fault my nails looked bad. Totally absurd. I came here on a whim because I was in the area and had some time to kill. I was a walk-in for a regular manicure pedicure. The smell of fumes almost turned me away. Ventilation was very poor. The receptionist however was very nice, greeted me right away, and got me settled in the pedicure chair. She seemed very hands on and knew all her regulars names. I was really disappointed to see that this salon DOES NOT use liners in their pedicure tubs. That really grossed me out. The salon was very busy and crowded with nice clientele. The workers were friendly and many spoke perfect English too. My pedicurist Hannah did a decent job. Unfortunately she did not use any sterilized tools. I did not see her take anything out of blue sterilizing liquid, or one of those small blue toaster oven looking sterilizing machines nor did she unwrap any sterilized tools . The only thing that was new were the foam toe separators that came wrapped in plastic. All the metal tools and files came out of this universal caddy box on the floor. Not hygienic at all. The nail file she used looked old white and dusty with previous clients' toe dust on it. It's 2019 I expect a tub liner and for all of the metal tools to be unwrapped in front of me at the minimum. Despite the lack of cleanliness, Hannah did a nice pedicure. The lotion she used to massage my legs came from a big open tub on a cart that was passed around from chair to chair - also grossed me out. In the same cart was a bottle of Fantastik and an old sponge- I guess that's what they use to clean the tubs but I didn't see anyone actually clean a tub while I was there. At this point I considered leaving but I didn't want to make a scene so prayed for the best and hope I don't get any infections After my pedicure, I walked myself and my things to the drying table. I always appreciate it when the nail tech helps you with your belongings and gets you set up - sometimes even give you a quick 2 min shoulder massage - unfortunately that did not happen here. I had to figure out on my own how to even turn the drying table on. After I dried for a couple of minutes I moved to Kim's station for a regular manicure. She was sweet and I at least this time saw the metal tools soaking in the blue sterilizing agent... which is an improvement. She did a really nice job on my nails that were in bad shape. She was definitely more attentive and helped me with my purse and water and got me set up at the drying station. I paid $40 for a regular mani pedi plus $5 tip to each tech. I thought $50 was on the pricier side for just a regular mani pedi. The workers and clients were all so nice and friendly. I was happy with the appearance of my nails but I will probably never return here again due to the lack of cleanliness. That may not be important to everyone, but it's very important to me. read more

I was at this salon a few months ago for my wedding. Being so excited, I came to get a manicure/ pedicure along with some friends and family. It all started when I was literally 1 minute late and received a phone call from the receptionist, "where are you? If you don't show up soon we will have to reschedule" which I was not happy about, as I was literally parking my car in the parking lot. They made a mistake on my toes and I felt completely rushed and as if I was literally a "number" and not a customer. I went to have a great experience with my bridesmaids and family and I was extremely disappointed and dissatisfied leaving that appointment. The owner was not very friendly or helpful when I asked for suggestions on colors, in which would be one of the biggest days of my life. She showed that she couldn't care less and that rushing people in and out was more important than the customers experience. I will never return to this salon OR recommend it. read more

So updating a previous review walked in without an appointment and was told I'd have to wait for an he bc they were booked...no biggie, scheduled an appt for the same time the next day...im in my car just getting some directions to my next destination and Tammy, the chillest! Remembered me and my friend from close to a month ago and our first times there, anyway, exceptional customer service she actually cam out to the parking lot to tell me she just got a cancellation do i wanna do it now, hell to the yea I do! Same exceptional product as last, only got a mani this time, toes dont need it, and in and out quickly...again, since I didn't have a companion this time wasnt distrscted and I can confirm two coats are given! Definetely be back, although they accept walkins ill consider an appt next time bc businesses like this are busy bc of the quality they provide so to ensure ur seen at ur conveince u should do the same...and seriously just personal gripe against most consumers that tip, tip in cash, it's better for all tip based industries that count on their tips more than their salary, if u have to know why, please, please, please...consider sterilization :) read more

Took me 15 minutes late. (Why even make an appt then). They had me sitting in the chair while literally every single employee was cleaning and stocking the nail chairs instead of assisting the customers. No one seemed to give a sh1t that they were delayed or noticed me. The lady doing my pedi was super distracted and kept looking around the entire time. Then she GOT up in the middle of the pedi. Didn't even know where she went for awhile! Leg massage was two seconds. Whole entire pedicure was 20 min. Ones I usually get are 40min bc they put in effort.
