I recently got a sign made for my classroom, and they emailed faithfully with me back and forth for about a month to ensure that I got EXACTLY what I needed, the right measurements, the price was right, etc. They send you a very clear and precise color attachment in the email of what your sign will look like, so there are no questions. They're obviously very artistic -- I asked for a picture of Mount Rainier behind the words of my sign; they played with ice on the mountain, different colors of blue, how large, what fonts to use, etc. They're so helpful. Signs of Seattle recently printed two vinyl banners for me. Both were high quality 3x6 outdoor quality signs with grommets. They were printed on time and on budget. I was super pleased with the end result (as is my boss). Everyone I worked with at Signs of Seattle was great. Very accommodating, quick to respond to my myriad of questions, and made sure that my order was done to specifications. Each full color high quality sign cost about $160.00. Which, honestly is a steal. If you have to rush an order, it costs a bit more - but this was the cost for a 5 day turn around. Their designers wanted to make sure the graphics were as clear and appealing as possible, and our pop-up booth turned out beautifully. They sent their install guy out to do a site survey-he measured everything multiple times to make sure the sign fit perfectly. He even made sure that we had the right permitting. We worked with Morgen on a number of banners and signs that we had printed. The quality was very good and we were quite pleased with the price. The website allowed us to pick exactly what we wanted, and we had questions about your signage needs, Morgen was very helpful by phone. They lost a star because their printer wasn't working and they missed the deadline without communicating with us. I kept writing them asking "Are we ready for pick up?" and "Is it done yet?" and they finally responded when it was, but it was about a week late. Signs 3 stars, Install 3 stars, communication 2 stars, billing 1 star. Average is 2.25 overall. Our signs consisted of 2 dibond signs and 1 vinyl door logo with 3 additional small vinyl stickers. The signs were to our expectation and at a slightly cheaper price than a few competitors. The vinyl on the dibond had slight bubbles here and there but not something you'd notice from the road. The application of vinyl on our door was also to expectation. The installer was polite but showed up unannounced. There were some initial communication hiccups. Morgen eventually did a better job of managing job completion. However, she was misleading about installation costs and then strong-armed us with questionable billing ethics, a bit of bad attitude, and poor mathematical aptitude at the close. At the end of the day, Signs of Seattle will fail to earn my future business by not recognizing and valuing the relationship with its customer. You may have taken me for $40-80 extra today in install costs, but you lost a considerable amount of future business and goodwill referrals that would have been far more profitable than what you walked away with today. My recommendation to those considering Signs of Seattle is to pay the lower sign price and pick it up. Avoid using them for install unless you get everything in writing and are aware that they may try to over-bill you. PROS: 1/ The sign products we received were of the quality we expected for the price. 2/ The installer was polite and provided acceptable work. 3/ The sign costs alone were competitive, and slightly lower than other bids we received. CONS: 1/ Initial communication was slow to respond to get our project going. From start to finish, I think we spent about 2 months. Part of this was lack of initial follow up by Signs of Seattle. Later, part of it was also our schedule due to the slow start. 2/ Forgot we requested an install when the signs were completed so we were not on the schedule. 3/ Originally misled us about install charges. Morgen stated to my employee that there would be no trip charge to install in Shoreline, WA. Further, we were never informed that they had a minimum install charge of $120. The only thing we were told was that there was $80/hour charge for install time. When we said we thought it would be an hour, they said they did not know. Every time we asked about install before the job, it was glossed over. For the job above, we expected about an $80 charge. 4/ Bad billing ethics. We were unapologetically billed for 3.4375 hours of install time. Morgen did not even check with the installer to ask for the amount of time actually spent on the job. So they were just making up the install charges! Her "fair" resolution was to lower the $275 install charge to $200, saying that their minimum install was $120 and they were adding an extra $80 for the supposed 2nd hour of drive time. Not only is that terrible math (2 hours times $80 is $160), it's also the first time I have ever been billed by a contractor full rate for drive time. This job was also $80/hr for low level contracting work (i.e. no expensive specialized tools required and nothing dangerous or out of the ordinary). In this case, the drive time charges, nor the $120 minimum were put in writing anywhere or disclosed by Morgen prior to the job. At the end of the day, Morgen charged me $160 for 2 hours of install for a 1 hour install job. There's really no excuse for this and I was given a full dose of attitude to go with it. Morgen actually tried to tell me she couldn't believe I was questioning it...you know because supposedly nobody else minds paying for 3+ hour install price on a 1 hour job. read more

The quality is inconsistent and I believe it's due to the lack of leadership throughout the shop. I walked in to Signs of Seattle to find the owner screaming (literally) at his own employees. I should have walked out then but I didn't. After the boss or owner or whatever noticed me he shuffled into the back offices with an air of meek cowardice. Still, for some reason I decided to give them my money. The quality was so-so, the service was adequate, but I could tell the employees were defeated. This business is not recommended. read more

They did a decal for my company vehicle. From the beginning it was great working with them. They are responsive and helpful. I only have 1 vehicle for deliveries so it was very challenging to schedule my truck to be absent and Signs of Seattle was very accommodating in this. There was an issue but I could not have been happier with the way they handled it.
