Great dinner last night! It's been awhile since we've been back but def not disappointed. I ordered the Pad Thai w crispy duck medium spice level 3. I love how they have that option to add crispy duck for Pad Thai. My husband got Thai Basil Stir Fry with Pork level 4 and it definitely had a nice kick! They clearly do not have the capacity to handle customers during lunchtime. We waited over one hour just to be seated, which is completely unacceptable. What made the experience far worse was the extremely rude and aggressive behavior of the staff. One employee started throwing water glasses and straws onto the table, and after we had already waited 45 minutes after being seated, we politely asked how much longer it would take. Instead of responding professionally, he became hostile and started throwing food on the table. The entire situation was scary and uncomfortable. This place needs serious improvements in both customer service and crowd management. I would not recommend dining here, especially during peak hours. read more

Restaurant is not closed. Went by for dinner this Monday evening and had an amazing dinner. Quick and friendly home style service, and food is excellent. Highly recommend the garlic noodles with chicken and add broccoli. Huge fan of the Thai sriracha sauce that it comes with. Restaurant is clean and there's a bunch of decorations. I could have sworn I left a review while we were in the restaurant because I wanted to get out my opinions fresh. Well, I'll just make a new one. My husband and I love Thai food, the more authentic the better (spicy is the best). I don't remember what he got but I got the green curry with chicken. It was amazingly good and there was so much food that I had plenty leftover for another meal (as did my husband). Service was friendly and attentive. This is a modest, retro-looking restaurant with great ratings in Rock Hill...and I've been here once a few years ago with my husband. I remember liking the food, but thinking it was way too spicy. I just remember using up several tissues to calm my eyes and nose. Thought I was going to die lol! Honestly, it's the intense spice level that scared me into not returning all these years. I tried to visit them a month ago, but it remained closed for indoor dining...and I'm not big on take-out or in-car dining (unless absolutely necessary). Anyway, this place is now finally open for indoor dining...so I swung in to try their Pad See Ew lunch special, which came with a choice of salad or soup...and an order of Thai Iced Tea. Though the Pad See Ew with Shrimp plate was rather small in portion, it was less than 12 bucks! So Yes, their lunch specials are super-affordable. Their Thai Iced Tea was also rather skimpy, but all-out delicious! This time, I clearly asked for a 3 out of 5 spice level, as in Medium Spicy...yet again, it was spicy as HELL. My nasal cavity nearly exploded, and I cried a little. OMG?? I really don't know if they offer dishes THIS spicy to everyone, or just to people like me that are Asian. I tend to think the latter...'cuz there is simply no WAY non-Asians can take this level of spice (if THIS hot at level 3)??? From ALL the Thai restaurants I've been to in Charlotte (and beyond) - and I've been to many Thai restaurants!! - the dishes I've had here have been the spiciest (even at level 3!). It's a shame 'cuz if they can modify the spice level, the dish would have been super delicious! BTW, despite how "retro-looking" the place may be, I did notice that they had an "A" sanitation grade! Also, their service was really good, and the food was freshly prepared and delivered quickly. Honestly, given their authencity and the convenient location, I would LOVE to give this restaurant all 5 stars...but each and every time, their spice level nearly kills me. I may give them one more try in the future...but next time, I'm going to go with 1 or 2 out of 5 spice level. read more

It's easy to see why this place has such high ratings; it's very good. Unfortunately their dining room remains closed due to COVID so they are doing take out only. When you arrive to pick-up your order, someone will come out to the parking lot to deliver it to your car. I had a big order, Laarb Ga chicken salad, red chicken curry, pad thai, Tom Yum Goong - spicy shrimp soup & the summer rolls. Everything was good, the pad thai noodles were a little on the sticky side. The Laarb Ga salad was on the small side. The Red Chicken Curry was exceptional as were the summer rolls. They have an extensive menu and based on my initial experience and the reviews from my fellow Yelpers, I would recommend this place! read more

Food was delicious and hot. Smallish portions. Service was dismal. While very nice people, one waitress for the entire room just isn't enough. Food was very slow to come out. Ordered two appetizers and 15 mins after the first came, they came to tell us they didn't have the ingredients for the second. Then quite a wait for our meals. Maybe we will try again. Not sure. My husband and I were visiting family in Rock Hill and we were surprised to find a Thai restaurant with such great reviews so we had to try it. We are so glad we did! We got the pad see ew, Tom kha, mango sticky rice, and the warm coconut pudding. Everything was so delicious! Definitely on par with some of the good Thai restaurants in LA which is where we live. I was thrilled I found this Thai food here in Rock Hill as I have really been missing my dose of pad Thai. The location is easy to get too and plenty of parking. Although I ONLY order Pad Thai, my wife is more adventurous and has tried several dishes here. Like me, she has enjoyed them all. The Chicken Pad Thai is in my top 10 of all Pad Thai I have had so that says a LOT considering I usually try it at 4-5 new places each year. Truly is authentic Thai food. I absolutely LOVE Thai food and can expect good food from here. My boyfriends family loves going here as well and we usually grab dinner here. The kitchen clothes at 9 but the restaurant closes at 9:30 on their usual hours. They've got a nice updated menu that is one laminated sheet front and back with plenty of food for you to order from curry to noodle dishes and don't forget their Tom yum soup. Have yet to come during lunch time but I really am looking forward to because they have great lunch deals with soup and egg rolls for $8 on their curry dishes. I usually go to Thai house in Pineville but I think this place has larger servings for a better price. I've only had their soup, curry, and pad Thai but never had any problems. Their bathrooms are always clean and the resuraunt itself is nicely managed with great service. read more

Sila's gets my vote for best Thai in Rock Hill. There's another place that isn't bad, maybe slightly more economical. But, we have been over charged, and then found out at home too far to go back that 2 of our entries were missing. But, Sila's has impeccable Customer Service. They are sweet and personable. You can tell it's very important to them that you enjoy what you are ordering. The Dishes are excellent. They rival or best anything being served in Charlotte, anywhere. I didn't know about them for a long time. It's like a secret little treasure that the true Thai Food Enthusiast eventually ferret out of those in the know... I have never heard nor read anything bad about them or their food. Trust me, if you enjoy good Thai Cuisine, you want to give Sila's a try. But, don't tell too many people. I usually get takeout, but we don't want the line to get long. Actually, there's rarely been a time that our food wasn't prepared in a timely manner, especially when we call ahead. Everyone here is so friendly!!! We walked in and felt like we were greeted by our best friend. They were very attentive and quick to fill any needs they saw around the restaurant. I think they must have a lot of repeat customers because they were so cute and calling several patrons by their names! My husband got the Pad Thai and really loved it. Went here for lunch today.. Recommended by a friend.. I ordered the massaum curry. It should have carrot, potatoes and onion with chicken. Well there's plenty of chicken. However it's lacking the rest. Not enough of the veggies.. So it's ok to me.. I also ordered the mango with sticky rice. We found Sila on Yelp and decided to stop and eat while passing through while traveling. I had the yellow vegetable curry and my husband the basil rice. Both were delicious. Tom yum soup was perfect! Just right amount of kafir lime! I got a 3 for heat. It usually come out a 2. That's my go to dish to decide on a repeat visit. The small bowl was standard and more than enough. Glad I didn't get larger size. On to the Penang curry! I got a 3 for spice ..,,maybe a 2.5 would have been perfect again! Service was excellent. Absolutely amazing little Thai restaurant, the food is stellar and spicy (if you want) and the dishes are unique and well prepared and flavorful. The staff are friendly and helpful, things get hectic right at lunch time but they do their best to accommodate the rush. I love Thai food, and I hadn't had it in forever and was craving curry. I don't know this area that well, but Sila was close by and had good reviews. It was incredible. I had the peanut curry because it sounded interesting and I liked the veggies that come with it (broccoli, string beans, cauliflower). I usually order curry with tofu because I like how it soaks up the sauce and is often accompanied by more vegetables (which it is here), but their tofu isn't fried so I opted for chicken instead. It comes with a spicy rating of 1/5, and I asked for 2/5. It was at the top of how spicy I could tolerate (so beware of how spicy you order), but it was excellent. My dad ordered red curry with chicken. It was very spicy but also delicious. We shared an order of fresh rolls, which were quite yummy (though we think they forgot to put meat in there or we just didn't read the menu correctly). Either way, we enjoyed all of the food and will be back. The menu had a lot of options (some that I hadn't seen before). The portions of curry weren't huge but were large enough that we both left full. The prices all seemed very reasonable compared to other Thai restaurants (I think chicken curry was $11, which I think is great). My dad and I were the only customers the entire time except for one woman who ran in to grab her takeout (even though it was a regular dinner time on a weekday). It was a bit too quiet and would benefit from some music especially when so empty. As the other reviews have mentioned, the restaurant could be updated inside, but it was fine. Service was excellent with our waiter checking on us often and making sure our water was full (which is much appreciated when eating spicy food). We both agreed that we were excited to find this place and that it would also be great for takeout. read more

We have eaten here 4 times now. Delicious, consistent in food quality, service, and sanitation grade. Great portions and a good price point. We've liked everything we've gotten. One of the only restaurants I eat tofu from. That's saying something 'cause I'm a proud carnivore. I laugh at tofu. HAAA, HAAA, OH...that fried tofu with chili dipping sauce is pretty darn good. I order it every time now. Laughs on me and it's yummy! One review talked about their "Kow Soi". She made it read as a must try. So I did. That Lady was absolutely correct!! It's their yellow curry with veggies (you can add chicken) & come with an entire container of crunchy (not greasy) noodles. Like good tater chips. Mmmmm. Crush some into your curry. I literally found this place on accident and it was the best accident of my life lol I ordered all appetizers chicken sauté, shrimp rolls with sweet chili sauce, chicken and pork dumplings, and chicken wonton soup. I'm actually rating this while eating by the way ...can I say they out did themselves !! Very good!! Everything has its Own taste but amazing with each flavor.
