We were just walking by and had a bit of time to pass when we came across Silent Brigade Distillery. They make several moonshines and a couple of bourbons. We enjoyed a free tasting of the products. My favorites were the apple pie, chocolate coconut, and blackberry flavors. We left with a bottle of chocolate coconut (which ought to pair nicely with hot chocolate, etc.) and bourbon (for my companion. The owner, Keith, was very personable and took us on a short behind-the-scenes tour before our tasting. The highlight for me was the gorgeous antique art deco bar that came from an Italian (or was it Irish??)-American club in Cleveland, Ohio. read more

We were warmly greeted by the owner and bartender. Keith, the owner, offered us a tour in which we got an explanation of the whole distillery process and got to see the live fermentation bubbling happening. I learned a lot and thought it was neat how he created his own distilling urn. This was followed by free samples of all the booze. read more

This is a small distillery in terms of tours and visits. Nonetheless, I was warmly welcomed and quickly attended to by Laken. I thought it would be busier today but still did the tour and tasting gig. It was a shame that I was not able to try Silent Bridage's Bourbon but that is the negative of small ops is being out. Anyway I was offered a Red Line tasting out of Indiana which is aged in barrels here. Redline's Element Hive was fantastic. SB Apple moonshine and chocolate coconut could be dangerous how good they taste and no hint of alcohol like the straight. Will have to visit here again read more

Went to this establishment to purchase moonshine (truthfully the ONLY alcoholic beverage I can drink). The bar tender was extremely knowledgeable about each flavor and answered all my questions. Purchased four flavors and the BBQ sauce. Will buy my 'shine from them again. read more

This distillery is also a bar. They have some great drinks, good liquor, and a friendly staff. You will feel like you are at home. The tasting is $12 for 5 tastings in shot glasses . Their bottles are $34 . The google listing posted the wrong hours . They open at 11 am most days NOT 6 pm like google lists. read more

Stop reading this review and just go. THEY MAKE THEIR OWN MOONSHINE AND MIX IT INTO DRINKS. We went at like 11:30am on a Tuesday and one of the co-owners gave us his full attention, because we were the only idiots in the joint. We got to taste all the moonshines (flavored and not), and then we ordered drinks. I had a Slice of Heaven, which uses the apple pie moonshine with a cinnamon stick and apple slice, and my husband got the Huckleberry, which uses the blackberry moonshine with Buffalo Trace bourbon, grape juice and cranberry. Both were delightful. They have comedy nights and open mic nights. Just go, okay? read more

Great downtown bar! I've been here twice, the first time the owner waited on me and the second time was last night while Amanda was working. Both experiences have been top knotch! The space is large with an open feel, a stage to the right of the door and the actual distillery behind the bar to the left. They have a badass wooden back bar from the 1960's that the owners got in Ohio. The drinks were delicious, customer service was fantastic. Amanda is passionate about bourbon and moonshine and also gave great recommendations for our next stops. read more

Amazing find! Stopped here on a whim. The moonshine is soooo good. Very smooth and flavorful. We ended up buying 3 bottles to take home. Keith and John not only know what they're doing but they are also very helpful and friendly. We learned so much. Live entertainment as well. I've been here twice and have had really good experiences. The selection of whiskey and other spirits are top notch. The owner is a lot of fun to talk to and has a genuine interest in talking to his customers. If you love bourbon, this is the place to come to. The old bar is beautiful to sit at and has so much character. I look forward to coming back and listening to the bands that come through. read more

Stopped in here for a drink while in town for the BBQ on The River event. Only 2 other guys at the bar. Obligatory hipster bartender. Obligatory hipster music too cool for me to understand why it would be playing so loudly. Average bourbon selection, regardless of what some of the other reviews here say... and the pours were 1/2 of what you'd get at Doe's Eat Place. Service was good, and prices weren't out of line, but as a whole, the place just felt like it was trying too hard be a hipster speakeasy in Brooklyn without the life experience to back it up. I added a star because they had a stage and I was told that later that evening, they had an open mic night going for local musicians, and because I appreciate the hell out of what they are trying to do here --- Paducah is a great town and needs great bars, and it absolutely WAS kind of a weird vibe that weekend in that almost everyone was a couple more blocks towards the river busting their guts on BBQ and fried pies, so I'll give them another try in the hope that my initial impression was wrong. read more
