So you know, Silvana does not do the cleaning herself. She sends out a low-morale crew who do a shoddy job. There were cereal pieces left on the carpet after they supposedly vacuumed it. I'm disappointed to have to write this review. I didn't even have a Yelp account, but created it specifically to address this issue. I reached out to Silvana's team to clean an apartment I just moved into and was initially impressed that they showed up early and seemed professional. However, the job was a bit rushed and after the team left I discovered that three sets of blinds had been broken, leaving me in a lurch with my landlord. I contacted Silvana directly to discuss, as I wanted to avoid leaving a mixed review online. Instead of following up to confirm what happened, Silvana called to confront me and basically accused me of lying. She said I was "watching the girls clean", when actually I was working the entire time and felt it would be inappropriate to hover over professionals doing their job, and said that the blinds were already broken. The worst part was that the team never mentioned that anything had broken while they were cleaning and I simply found the pieces afterward. This would have been quite simple to make right if the owner were professional. I was not disparaging her team, but simply providing feedback on how part of the job was done. I would avoid this company if possible as it is a mixed bag and if anything goes wrong, the owner will attack you. Update 1: I never made any demands, I simply called to report damage to you as the business owner and figure out what could be done. Instead, you were hostile and unprofessional. I was barely able to get in a word, let alone discuss or make demands. I will be filing a complaint with the BBB. Update 2: I just noticed another broken item, pads ripped off a bathmat, that would have just ignored had the owner not been so hostile. This was a completely brand new item that I purchased, so not something the owner can claim was already destroyed. This likely speaks to a larger culture at this company of the owner rushing teams to finish a job just to get to the next and the teams not being able to take their time without inadvertently breaking things. I scheduled a "move out clean" from Silvana's House Cleaning. They originally said the cleaning would take 1.5 - 2 hours. The cleaners called me to notify me that they were running late. They ended up being about 45 minutes late, but I didn't mind because I assumed they would still be completing the full clean. Upon arriving at my apartment, the cleaners reiterated that cleaning would take at least 1.5 - 2 hours and I should leave the apartment. After only about 45 minutes, the cleaners were calling me and telling me to come back because they were done. I started rushing back home because it was much earlier than expected. They kept calling me to ask where I was and said they were in a rush because they were going to be late for the next house. When I arrived back, they were in a rush to leave so I quickly paid them the full amount plus a $60 tip. Upon inspecting my apartment, I realized they had neglected certain areas and did not provide the full "move out clean". They had clearly rushed my apartment cleaning and did it in half the time it should have taken, because they were running behind schedule. I was extremely disappointed because I had been so understanding of them running late and had even tipped them generously for the cleaning. I paid for a full move out clean and I did not receive the service I paid for. There were areas of floor that had not been cleaned. Shelves and areas of flooring were left dusty. Surfaces such as mantles had not been wiped down at all. The windows and baseboards were completely neglected and were not cleaned at all. Additionally, the sliding glass doors of my shower were taken and left off the track, so I had to put them back on the track myself. This service was extremely disappointing. It was unprofessional to rush my service because the cleaners were running behind schedule. I wish I had not paid and tipped in cash, as there is no way for me to recoup the wasted money now. read more

This review is several months overdue, but I really wanted to get this out.. eventually. On the day I moved into my new apartment, I was disappointed to find it in a much dirtier state than I expected. I did a quick Yelp search and found several cleaning services, but many of them required advance notice or were not able to respond immediately. I really wanted to get a deep cleaning before unpacking, and to my luck, I found Silvana. I contacted Silvana, and she had her crew at my apartment in less than one hour. While I was still in the process of moving boxes, three ladies worked meticulously at cleaning my apartment. They spent about 2-3 hours at my ~600 sq ft 1bed/1bath apartment, and they did a fantastic job! They really made my kitchen stove top and bathroom tub look so much nicer. I really appreciated their service on such short notice, and Silvana was very easy to communicate with via calling and texting. The deep cleaning service cost about $150, and I was really satisfied. I paid cash and also included tip! My only concern is that the smell of the cleaning supplies was REALLY strong. I understand and expect that lots of cleaning supplies, as environmentally friendly as they aspire to be, can still be toxic. However I could feel my airways stinging and had a cat that I was concerned about, so we relocated to the hallway for a couple hours. The smell resolved within a half-day with open windows. I really worried about Silvana and her crew's lungs... I hope you guys are okay! Overall I would recommend Silvana and her staff, as they were so accommodating and hard-working. It was also the middle of June in an apartment with no air conditioning, so I was so appreciative of their efforts. I contacted Silvana to deep clean the first floor of an apartment I had just moved into. I knew it hadn't been cleaned in years, but didn't realize just how bad it was, particularly dust in the living room and grime in the kitchen. Silvana's team of three labored for two hours to leave it to their standards. She ended up charging me $50 more after she saw the condition of the kitchen... for good reason! So I paid her $100 more... they worked so hard and it was their last house on a Friday. She did tell me she wouldn't have taken the job had she known how dirty it was and that she doesn't know how people could live here, which I normally would have taken offense to, but I could see they were so tired and they truly left it in 100x better shape than when they arrived. We hired Silvana after our previous cleaners began to lose their cleaning edge. Although she is solo for now she does a great job. Silvana always arrives on time and leaves our place fresh, clean, and a little better organized. As with any cleaner you have to be clear about what your cleaning expectations are and that the compensation is reasonable. I have never had a "cleaner" do laundry so I can't speak to other Yelpers experiences. Silvana sometimes misses small cleaning items, but I chalk this up to being by herself for now, not negligence. By and large the cleaning, dusting, and light organizing are great. We have a 3 bedroom apartment with an 8 year old boy, 1 year old dog, and 15 year old cat. It can get a little hairy around here and she does a great job with it all at a very reasonable price! I am happy to recommend her.
