We stayed at Silver City rv parkt for two nites in June 2014. The park was between 1/3 and 1/2 full Our 20 ft. 2year old trailer was assigned site 97, the concrete strips to park on were cracked and broken . After over 55 years of camping/RVing we fiinally had a piece of equipment stolen ( an all metal tire chock which iis inserted between the tires and with a special wrench is expanded to keep the tires from moving) If you must stay at this place please be sure all your equipment is well secured. We have since purchased two new chocks and padlocks to prevent that reoccurance.There is an RV Resort just a short distance in either direction which we highly recommend. We have our suspicion who the thief was (not a camper). We will not be returning to this park, even though we do go to the carson valley often to see several relatives. Bob B. read more

This place is horrid. The electricity goes out fairly regularly (once every couple of months). Water also gets shut off fairly regularly (same). Bathrooms/showers are not cleaned often. Wi-Fi is useless. New owners took over, with all kinds of promises - 5 months later, nothing has changed. When we booked in, they asked how long we would be there, I told them at least three months, they charged us the month to month rate, which is $200 more than "long term". When we tried to tell Marci (park manager) that, she rudely threw her hands in the air and stomped off. Needless to say, we ate the $200. Last but not least, steer clear of Gene - the angry old man in the northeast corner of the park. I'll spare you the gory details about this guy, but let me tell you that stalking is not out of his range of not right in the head. One of the staff informed me that they've lost at least five tenants because of this guy, but there he still is. One star because zero is not allowed. read more

Just left the park headed home! We LOVE this park! Friendly staff, friendly ppl long term and temps like us! Pool, fishing pond, entertainment by a great park visiter...Bobby Freeman and his Yellow Cadillac Grand Piano which goes up & down & spins around! We love the area...between Minden & Carson City. Too many places to visit! Plus the RV Resort has its own GAS STATION and the prices are GREAT! All around great place and we will be coming back the next time we are in this area...hopefully next year! read more

Gary M. I am responding to a post from Stacey M. She is having a real hard time coping with trying to get her mood stabilizer MEDS refilled by her doctor. I had no idea she had come off on the Rv park. I apologize on her behalf for the ranting and raving from her. As a result we have to leave. I have had a wonderful time the year and a half we have been here. The staff are wonderful and very friendly. I have not met the owners but they come by periodically to drive through the park and make recommendations. Thanks to Marcie for her support in allowing our 1979 Nomad trailers among the newer trailers. I know it is an eyesore but thanks for our time here. Gary M. read more

We stayed for 3 nights. The staff was very accommodating. The showers, laundry and toilets were very clean. That was the good news. The spaces are all tight, shallow and gravel, very little shade. The pet areas are dirt, although they have several grass areas, no pets allowed on the grass. The internet is very poor at best. If you want to watch cable TV, it is a $75.00 refundable deposit for a cable box. So much potential if the management would make the effort. I would try other RV parks before returning. I sincerely hope they upgrade the internet and make cable TV improvements, those improvements would go a long way. read more

We recently stayed here for 2 days prior to heading north for the remainder of our trip. The staff was very friendly at check in. We had a pull through spot with 50 amp service. It was very hot during that week, temps in the upper 90's. We have a 40' Motor Home with dual air conditioners. As time went on through the day we started to experience electrical issues, where our front air was shutting down due to a breaker being tripped in our inverter. I unplugged our rig, started the generator and there were no issues, so I knew it was not on my side of things. I went to the staff, spoke with John, he is a supervisor in the maintenance department. He was a super nice guy, and tried to diagnose our issue. It was definitely a problem on their end. He also stated that we were in the older portion of the park and that the new owners have plans to upgrade but who knows when that will happen. Fortunately we got a thunderstorm that came through and it really cooled things down for us over night, so I did not have to rely on the air for sleeping. My 3 stars are for the lack of electrical power and also the WIFI was horrible, not sure why they even have it. It was worthless. We wouldn't stay here again. I've never posted a bad review in all our years of travel trailering. Made our reservation on line in August for October visit, but cannot complete reservation payment on line. You have to call them on phone to make a payment. We were told there was a new owner. Upon arrival, the gas station there has been closed, so no fueling up. The access driveways are very narrow and there are two narrow concrete pads on each site for the tires. We had to jockey the truck and trailer to get them both on the concrete pads on each side. They have large gravel rocks all over that are difficult to walk on. I backed up a step on the pavement and almost fell when my foot rolled on one of the large pieces of gravel. Their web site lists cable TV as an amenity. Don't be fooled. You have to make a $75 refundable deposit and then you are given a baggie with four cords and a remote and some not so great hookup instructions. After 3 trips to the office with questions about the cable hookup process, we gave up and returned it all. The office staff admitted other customers sometimes have difficulty with their cable TV hookups too. No cable TV for our 3 night stay there. I asked for a discount because we just couldn't get the cable hooked up and was told the owner was out of town. The office staff then told us the cable TV was "optional". Never heard back from them on a discount for no cable service. We also noticed on many of the sites that the shade trees had been cut down. On the plus side, they offer free donuts in the morning, the bathrooms were clean and there is shopping close by. However, that's not enough to get us to come back. There are other alternative RV parks close by in Carson City and Minden that we will stay at for future trips. read more
