My work team and I went here as part of our team outing. I got mine to go, due to timing. I enjoyed the Caramel French Toast with Strawberries, scrambled eggs with cheese and bacon. The brioche bread was yummy and the favors blended together well. The waiter was very kind and the restaurant was clean. This was an updated location from the older versions of Silver Diner.

This was our first time at Silver Diner. Such a great spot for a family breakfast! The restaurant is very clean, open and comfortable. There were booths and tables to pick from. The bar area is big and bright. All the lighting gets an upscale vibe. The server was extremely friendly and accommodating to us. The food was fresh and delicious. I would definitely come back here. There are some perks for kids as well. See attached photo of the kids menu.

This diner was right on my way to long travel. So stopped in the morning and evening on the way back Morning was great. Easy going atmosphere. Ready to go pick up place. Bar tenders that morning were so amazing and fun. That triple pickled chicken sandwich was bussin as the youth would say. Evening meals: salad with shrimp - ok that enshrine has seen better days. It wasn't Judy freshly made. Salad was great. Eggrolls were delicious but only if you like lots of cheese. It's very dip like. Staff is amazing. Easy parking. Guys come visit I am looking forward to breakfast food next time

I actually liked the food but please see my photo of a side of fries. It's like 16 fries. Why did the serve so few? Why is it on a big plate like this? For $3.99! So many questions on the side of fries... Other than that, the patty melt was good, my friends got vegan food - they actually have a lot of options including vegan milkshakes. Prices we generally fair minus the fry situation. Overall, it's a large menu and there's other things I'd try so I'd come back but, maybe not get fries ha!

Came here the other day with friend to try a new diner (we normally go to Double T). Surprised this place wasn't amazing. It was just okay. We did get seated immediately outside which was nice. Our server sucked, and there were teeny little hairs in multiple food items, and drinks took forever. Food was good though. My friends ordered a milkshake to go at the end and they just brought it not to go so we had to sit around while they drank the entire milkshake at the end after we were all done and paid. Probably will just stick with Double T and stop taking chances

Wow! What a great diner in the heart of the avenue!! The atmosphere is not your typical diner but more of a "upscale diner" it's very nice inside with ample seating. I'd request the sunroom! It's a nice place to sit and let the sun shine in! What did we order: -Huervos Rancheros -California omelet - red white and blue French toast (very very sweet) - traditional breakfast with pankcakes and scrambled eggs Overall, we would re order all of it minus the French toast! It was more of a dessert than a meal! The service was great, we had a bit of a wait (Father's Day) but it was well worth it! We will return!!!

Very spacious diner. They have a section for there bar area with tvs. Outside dining is available as well. The wait for a table wasn't too long. I started with my drink which was a guava mint ginger ale. You can definitely taste the ginger purée they put in there and it is very pulpy. Don't order it if you don't like pulp or see if the can strain it. My meal was the patty melt. It's a new item on the menu and definitely worth it. The thousand island a the honey money mustard sauce combined on the burger was a great blend. This burger was top tier for me. Plenty of food to choose from and they everyday brunch.

Time to get a table: 30 min Time to get food 40 min Time to get a check: 15 min A very loud diner atmosphere where they serve shakes, breakfast all day. Server was really nice but stretched thin. Food was just average. Very disappointed that seafood was fried in same oil as everything else (allergy). For being a "big restaurant ", you would think they would have had seafood in one fry machine and everything else in the other. Parking is abysmal. Same prices as Chili's or Texas Roadhouse. I did like the outside diner feel and that they texted you when your seat was ready so you could sit outside or wander nearby shops.

I was pleasantly surprised by the silver diner. It's clean and they are friendly. I enjoyed the milkshake because you get a lot. I was able to get a little over 3 glasses of milkshake for 10 dollars. The omelette was not oily or running so that was a win in my book. The biscuit was actually pretty good and I didn't choke on it. The potatoes were good but a little salty. I'm excited to go back and try more milkshakes.

Visited Silver Dinner for the first time on a Friday afternoon. I wasn't expecting much given that diners aren't usual known for their aesthetic but Silver Diner was an exception. While diner-esque, the atmosphere is quite modern. Lots of natural light and comfortable booth seating as well. We were pleased to find that lunch specials are available until 4pm which is a nice treat. I ordered a pick two with a half salad and half sandwich. I added a side of sweet potato fries for $4.99 which was a regrettable decision given that the portion of fries on plate I was served was sad and lacking. The salad and sandwich tasted fresh. I'd be happy to return at some point.

This is my second visit to this restaurant, and while my first experience was fantastic, with great food, fast service, and good drinks, my second visit left me a bit disappointed. My party of four ordered various breakfast dishes (all including scrambled eggs), and unfortunately, the eggs were a letdown. They tasted like they had been left under the warmer for too long. We also tried the maple chicken sausage, which was a disappointment. It tasted processed and lacked flavor. On a different note, I usually order alcoholic drinks at the beginning of my meal and my rule of thumb is that if they don't come out before the food, I don't need the drink. Unfortunately, my server's timing was off. The food came out and the drinks still hadn't been made. No Mango Mimosa for me. Overall, I wasn't impressed with my second visit. While I'll be back because it's a local eatery, I hope my next visit will be a bit better.

I dabbled with the lunch menu on my visit and WOW the quinoa pasta was AMAZING! I highly recommend this vegan dish!! The Creekstone Farms Local Flatiron Steak is very good, a little on the salty side, but not enough to not order it more than once! It's elevated inside and is clean, and the servers can be persistent about some things like signing up for the membership but have overall been very friendly and pretty attentive. The service was terrible. Me and a group of friends went here on a Sunday not too busy and were sat almost immediately. The problem lies in how attentive our server was he came to check on us about three times and each time we asked for waters or napkins and never received any. Then at the end after we all tipped the sever about 40 dollars we asked for a box and never received that. I believe the server was Jenish he needs to improve his service. I was pleasantly surprised at how great the food was here! I've eaten at another location and it wasn't that great. The service was amazing! We had a party of 5 and had a 45 min wait that was really 25 mins. We were texted as soon as our table became available and seated promptly. Our server Mya was the BEST! absolutely terrible.. food was cold and stale came out 1 hour from when it was ordered. we got two smash burgers, tuna melt, 3 coffees, and pancakes. we also should have had a order of sausage but it never came. our waiter also cane every 25 minutes and we had to ask 3 times for ketchup and water. 1 star overall. read more

After being recommended to visit the Silver Diner, me and a friend made the decision to enjoy a nice brunch at their location. As a new customer, everything about this place was phenomenal! The staff, the food, the vibe, the price, it all was exactly what you want from any dining experience! My first experience at Silver Diner did not disappoint. They were busy, but no long wait. Our drinks at the bar were phenomenal, especially the Thunderbird Margarita. Everyone enjoyed their food selection, the Turkey Platter and Salmon Cesar salad were great. The best part was the teamwork among staff. Manager Aaliyah and Waitress Semaje went above and beyond to meet our needs. I would absolutely suggest this location if you're in the area. read more

HORRIBLE! The worst service and experience I have ever had. We came in on a Thursday night 3 hours before closing. Our kids had just left prom and stopped for dinner. From the moment we walked in it was horrible. The greeter proceeded to lecture us for 20 minutes about how they don't typically serve large groups on a Thursday (6 kids & 4 adults); how they already had a prom party earlier and only a few servers. Initially, the parents were going to wait at the bar while they kids ate but we were told the bar closed at 8 pm - turned out to be a lie. Waited for about 45 minutes to be seated. After we were seated the waitress (AA young lady and Caucasian male with dirty blonde hair) proceeded to take our orders. We tried to be exceptionally nice, we knew it was late, but the waiters were just ridiculously rude! Very bad attitude, she didn't want to answer any questions about the order, so we finally just ordered simple appetizers. Finally got our food - disgusting!! Afterwards, we received our checks. We mentioned before ordering it would be separate checks. They brought the separate checks for the adults but told us they couldn't do it for the teens. The gentleman waiter proceeded to get very aggravated, threw the dish he was holding on the table and became visibly angry. There was a mention that the tip would be greater for a single check with a large party instead of separate checks. We ended up giving them 1 credit card to pay for everything just so we could leave! WILL NEVER RETURN - the worst experience. My place of employment in the area was hosting a luncheon and was headed to this location, I immediately disagreed, and we went to the restaurant nearby...much better service! Won't be recommended this place and won't return. read more

There is something special about a diner; from nostalgic tabletop jukeboxes to comfortable booths to the friendly people. We should have made reservations, but at that point, all we wanted was a decent meal (nothing fancy) after a long workweek and then to head home. Unfortunately, a decent meal didn't happen. The food was some of the worst we've had in a long time. My husband actually spit food into his napkin, shook his head, and said, "I'm done." I've never seen him do that before. Several dishes were simply inedible. The mashed potatoes were bland and flavorless--how do you mess up mashed potatoes? The potato salad was equally bland and disappointing. The French onion soup had very little broth and was overloaded with a thick layer of hardened cheese. Overall, the food tasted cheap and poorly prepared, yet the prices suggested otherwise. It felt like diner-quality food being sold at premium prices. What made the experience even more frustrating was the manager's response. He came to our table after hearing about our concerns, but instead of focusing on the quality issues we raised, he seemed more concerned that my husband refused to order a replacement meal. That spoke volumes about where the priorities were. The one bright spot was our server, who was attentive, friendly, and professional throughout the meal. No complaints regarding the server as he was extremely apologetic with our experience. To our surprise, the restaurant also added an automatic gratuity to our bill. Ironically, had that not been done, we likely would have tipped our server more because he was not the problem. The kitchen and management were. No, I didn't complain about the tip after I noticed it on our bill. We were over the experience and just wanted to pay and get the hell out of there. Save yourself the disappointment and spend your hard earned money elsewhere. We certainly wish we had. Gordon Ramsay, if you're looking for a future Kitchen Nightmares episode, this place could desperately use the help. P.S. A business name change is not going to help with the quality of the food. Do better and prove that you actually care about your customers, not just the $$.

soooo let me tell you about my bartender/server Earl. in my 36 years of going out to eat from high end restaurants to normal restaurants, I have yet to find customer service that match his. I've had excellent customer service but the difference about earl's was his attentiveness to our needs as customers. I didn't have to get his attention AT ALL!! and I mean all meal.. I drop my fork by the time I bend down to pick it up, earl was there with another one lol .. got down to the last bite, scraped the plate, looked up, earl was there to remove the plate.. last sip of water, stray making that empty noise, BOOM!! earl came out of nowhere Honestly I've never seen this level of attentiveness. This is the third time that my family and I have visited Silver Diner. Besides the wait time, I HIGHLY recommend you give them a try. Our sever, Sam, was very personable, accommodating to the customized order and very professional. My daughter asked to speak with the manager after our meal because she loves the diner so much and shared she would rate the restaurant 1,000 stars! We have tried breakfast, lunch and dinner (waffles & French toast, pickled burger sandwich and firecracker shrimp taco) and all was AMAZING! As with any new establishment, there's bound to be "hiccups" and could always use improvement; however, Silver Diner is an excellent addition to the avenue. We have been long time fans of Silver Diner, and go fairly often to our local one at Rio in Gaithersburg. Today we were at the recently opened one at White Marsh, and it was a great experience. We were so impressed with the management team, and specifically our waitress, Brielle who was excellent in making sure our two young grandchildren got their food and drinks quite quickly. Everyone was very accommodating, and the food was excellent just like at our local Silver Diner. For an establishment only open seven weeks, the staff was exceptionally prepared for the Father's Day crowd. If you like good food at fair prices, please give Silver Diner a try. read more

Helena our waitress was so pleasant to talk to and her personality was so up beat and outgoing! Some places you go to and you feel like just another customer but you could tell she really enjoyed her job! She always made sure we had everything we needed and even before we could ask, she was already on top of it! This bustling diner has an upbeat scene while maintaining that diner feel. aAfter a short wait we were seated. Shortly followed up with a greeting by John, one of the managers who took great care and time to wait on us. Typical Saturday diner food, my son and I both ordered breakfast and it hit the spot! The dishes were fresh, flavorful, and well-presented--definitely a highlight of the visit. However, the service left much to be desired.
