Stayed in Cherry Hill, NJ and were looking for a great breakfast spot. My significant other loves French toast and this place has some really good French toast options. He had a banana stuffed French toast with vanilla creme, caramel drizzle and mini chocolate chips. It was a flavor explosion, not too sweet-very satisfying. Also had a side of the nitrate fee bacon. Delicious. I had the avocado toast with two over easy eggs. The avocado toast was on sourdough toast. There was also micro greens and hemp hearts with a drizzle of olive oil. It was perfection! There are so many things on the menu I want to try! It's a classic diner atmosphere with juke boxes, but with farm to table products. We will absolutely return for another meal. read more

It's difficult to know where to start. My son called this an upscale diner, I would say it's a wanta be diner. Diner food is diner food, yes it has it own category,lol. I was shocked at the few "starters" that they had and their prices. My son got Bruschetta with goat cheese, wow! $9 for a smear of cheese and a quarter of a tomato chopped up with pesto and a drop of balsamic vinager. My mother had cheese fries, $9, which had hardly any cheese on them and what was there was over cooked and dried out. On top of that they were only luke warm. The entrees: My mother's crab cake were beautifully cooked and loaded with crab, but looks can be deceiving! You could see by her face, with her first bite, that the taste din't measure up to the presentation. I will admit I can be a pain when it comes to my food, which is why I ask so many question before ordering. I can always order something else if I don't like how you prepare certain things, no need to lie to me. I ordered the calf's liver, after asking if it was served with liver gravy. She said no it came with brown gravy. So I ask is it beef gravy and is it home made? She said YES. The so called "brown gravy" was in a dish on the side, I only know that's what it was because, I asked the server! I said that's not brown gravy, she just waled away. The stuff was orange with diced carrots and onions in it. We all tasted it, it clearly was the nasty vegetable tasting mix that a lot of the diners are using as brown gravy(that's why I asked). Adding diced carrots and onions does NOT make it homemade!!!! The liver was so over cooked it had to be cut with a knife and the mashed potatoes where like play dough. They looked like the plastic food in kids play sets. I actually picked it up and dropped it on another plate and it kept it's form! By the color and the taste of the mashed potatoes you could tell they were made out of leftover potatoes. On top of it all, the server, checked to see if everything was okay, my plate was barely touched, she did't wait for an answer, just walked away again. when we got the check my mother picked up the potato mess and asked her if she know how bad they were? She did what she did best, Grab the plate and walked away, this time she didn't return. I wish I had checked the reviews here before we went, because if I had known this was a chain restaurant I wouldn't had bothered to waste my time, it shows! Really gross. Went for breakfast and was so dissatisfied. Not a diner in the traditional sense, sort of a mix between diner and TGI Fridays. Prices also high. My meal, country griddle, was eggs, sausage, potatoes, peppers and onions buried in a sausage gravy. Plate was supposed to come with biscuits but, at nine in the morning they were out of biscuits. Surprising find on Thanksgiving when we needed breakfast on the way to visit family. The menu is largely locally sourced, full of healthy options, and they actually promote substitutions on everything. Everything is high quality (eg the bacon is nitrate free, the ketchup is organic, etc.) - not at all like a traditional diner. Excellent service, too. read more

The food was very good, the service was excellent, and the prices were very reasonable. The only drawback - as we were about to leave they were changing shifts. There were about 12 to 15 new servers starting their shift and they all decided to congregate just inside the main entrance which made it very hard for people to enter or leave. Where do we start? This place has gone down hill fast! We have been customers here for years. We like the location and vibe. However today was the final straw we drive 25 minutes to come here and it will be last. We waited 10 minutes to be greeted, we never got water, our coffee mugs had stuff all over them. We finally got our order taken after about 30 minutes our server Matthew was an ass! He kept cracking jokes to make excuses for his poor service. This place has gone down fast WHAT HAPPENED???? The manager always visited with a smile, today we saw what we guessed to be 2 managers huddled at the counter laughing and joking and playing with a phone? Our food arrived with someone besides Matthew and everything was cold! We looked for anyone to return it a young black girl stopped by but did not take our plates back she did she would get Matthew 10 minutes later he walked up singing like nothing was urgent. We finally got second round of food 1.15 hour after we arrived! We will not be back 33.00 for cold breakfast, managers whom don't care, crazy servers! I don't agree with all the reviews. I've been going to Silver Diner for many years. They change the menu to what's in season, making them very eco conscious. Also it's a diner people. Diners have always traditionally have wide meal selections. My favorite thing is that I'm gluten-free and it's been a safe option for me with many choices. More so than most restaurants! The staff always accommodates me! As a gluten-free diner, I rarely ever have a problem eating there! Other restaurants put me through the ringer and then mess up my order. This place was a pleasant surprise! I am new the the area and we miss our diner regular diner and have been in search of a new one. We went in and I sort of panicked when I saw the chain looking menus, but was immediately comforted by the information they provided within about sourcing all their food and other ingredients from local farms. I ordered a bison burger which was SO GOOD. Very fresh and perfectly cooked and my boyfriend ordered the fish and chips. I guess the only complaint would be to switch the fish from flounder to something else because most of what he got was the fried coating. alltogether though it was very good. Definately not your typical diner. Food was very fresh and good my son and I had the flat iron steak @17.99 which I think was very reasonable. It was a good size. Not huge but good size very thick and done exactly how we ordered it. It came with sautéed spinach which was good but I think someone dumped a bottle of chopped garlic on it. It was definitely way too much garlic and jarred garlic. And homemade mashed potatoes which were delicious. You had your choice of soup or salad or chili but our waiter never offered them to us so during dinner I reminded him and he brought is soup which was homemade chicken noodle soup which was steaming hot and delicious. My husband had the tomato and mozzarella sandwich which was excellent with French fries and cole slaw. The coleslaw was pretty bad. It was chopped cabbage no dressing of any kind on it. Couldn't quite figure it out. Over all the food was good. Service good I would go back. But I would t give it 5 stars. The steak was definitely first quality though. Tender and cooked perfect.
