Food is great! Service dining in is usually great! Carry out and delivery are terrible. Although you are given the option to decline plastic utensils, they always throw them in anyway. 99% of the time something is missing from every delivery order, including one time one of our entrees was not in the bag. Delivery is super slow - take whatever the app tells you and expect it to be much much longer. Hot items will be cold when they arrive. Maybe it's just the Greenbelt location that struggles so badly with carry out and delivery? I sure hope management sees this review and does something to improve their services. read more

So we dropped in for a quick bite. We were greeted immediately by the host, and we asked if we could get a clean table, since there was baby with shoes on walking all over the table. The host obliged and we were seated. Our waiter, was Thurman, a real sweety. He was very good at taking care of his quests. We ordered mimosas, and we looked up he gave us water while we waited, which was a good incentive. We ordered our meals. They came out pretty quickly. But my meal appeared to be missing the main ingredient...the hollandaise sauce. Thurman noticed the missing sauce and brought me a bowl of this so called sauce, but I could hardly tell what it was, but the consistency nor taste appeared to be Hollandaise and that is why I took off the 1 star. I'm of the opinion that people sleep on Silver Diner. Silver Diner is really trying to break out of the stigma of diners being greasy spoons. Silver Diner changed its menu some time ago and has a number of truly healthy menu options, and they seemed to have gotten on board with the farm to table concept on some level. One of my favorite menu items is the crispy fried brussel sprouts..what traditional diner has fried brussel sprouts?? They also have Beyond Meat burgers...that indeed is something traditional diners don't have. I tried a Beyond Meat burger for the first time at Silver Diner-I substituted it on the Hickory Smokehouse burger and axed the bacon. I was PLEASANTLY surprised and would definitely get it the next time I'm here. Give Silver Diner a try...they very well may surprise you!! read more

I ordered the hotdog with a side salad and milk, macaroni and cheese (super creamy and came with a hotdog on top) with edamame and milk, and a Champ Breakfast with rye toast, over medium egg, side of fruit and a Coke. Everything was fresh and tasty! I haven't been able to get to the grocery store recently so I was able to dissect these meals and add other ingredients to create other meals. During this Covid-19 pandemic we ate outside on the patio. It was cool while fans blew on two other customers to make us comfortable. I had the salmon salad and a mango hibiscus shake.
