I have never been treated so nasty over a phone call because the woman worker didn't feel like answering questions. I'm trying to support a local smoke shop and she gives nasty attitude because I want to know some stuff about the items they clearly sell. One day they sell something and another day they act like they don't have anything. What kind of business is this DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE. This is one of those times, so please take a moment to read this. I stopped by today (4/18/25 around noon) to make a purchase. For context, I've been shopping here since their original location on Vanowen so we're talking quite awhile. I selected the item I wanted, and when I got to the register, the woman at the front informed me the price marked on the item was "mislabeled by someone," about $20 lower than what she planned to charge. I told her I've paid that exact price multiple times previously and asked if she would honor it. She flat-out refused then peeled the price tag off right in front of me. When I told her this would cost them a loyal customer, she cavalierly shrugged it off like it didn't matter. Ok, you do you. Here's the part that really matters for whoever is reading this: This is not just bad customer service, it's potentially illegal. According to LA County: "By law, you are entitled to the lowest advertised, posted or quoted price offered by the store. Stores must honor a posted price, even if the price has expired." Bottom line: I won't be back. What I needed can be found online for even less. I prefer to shop local when I'm getting a fair deal, but this was the opposite of that. To the other staff I've interacted with here: thank you, you've always been solid. But it only takes one bad apple to spoil the whole bunch- even if it's the owner or family - and unfortunately, that's exactly what happened. But the good news is I just saved a grip of money for the same product by purchasing it online when I got home.
