Beware of this place. They are EXTREMELY expensive and they have lost my trust. I brought my car in and was told it needed over $1400 of repairs for an air flow sensor issue along with one more repair. Previous to this- about 5 months before they had already repaired the sensor. Of course they told me it is another issue (not the same repair). Their diagnostic fee is very expensive as well at $225 just to take 5 minutes to plug in a machine to see the codes to what is wrong. I took my car to get a second opinion and they were able to repair my car for $800 less!!! Also they noted the work done on my sensor was not done well by Silver Lake so they had to repair it as well. I'd recommend finding a local auto repair show instead. They are more trustworthy and fair in pricing. read more

I took my 2007 Corvette in with a slow leak in a tire. I had purchased 4 Michelin tires there 4 years ago. I had picked up a small nail in the tire. Because I had purchased the tires there, they fixed it at no charge. Excellent customer service. read more

Ok,after waiting for these guys to finally figure things out after 3 plus days, I've come to the conclusion that their no better than most places that reel you in,give excuses,lack of communication and not doing what they said they would all do,sorry guys you list another customer because you dropped the ball one too many times,I could go on but this sums up the way we and others feel,sad at the way the job went, all the way around. A few weeks ago I called to get a quote on having a trailer hitch installed on my car. The person who answered the call told me they would have someone contact me with an estimate. I waited. And waited. No call ever came. 2 days later I tried again, and this time the person who answered gave me the numbers. $1300! $1300 to have a simple trailer hitch installed? I priced the individual pieces in other stores and individual pieces came roughly $200. What can possibly cost $1300 on the installation of a simple trailer hitch? read more

I have been bringing my car to the silver lake in Brookfield for about 4 years now. They have consistently given me the car back and I have a check engine light within one week after their repair. Last week I gave them my car with a check engine light. They charged me 937 dollars to fix the car. Now I have the check engine light back on. This is about the fifth time they have done this to me. I have never written a revue before, but this ridiculous. I have to have my emissions checked in a month or two. What am I suppose to do? read more

Wow. The customer service here is outstanding. Taking your car to the shop is always an inconvenience but these guys made sure it was seamless and not an inconvenience at all! Friendly and welcoming workers were a great start to my day. They offered a shuttle service to get me to work on time and when they happened to be closing the office early (and I was unable to leave work to pick my car up) they delivered my car to me at work for no added cost! I got an oil change and rotated my tires and prices were fair for the work they did. Communicated with me timely through text and payment process was seamless by paying online. I made a 9:00 appointment one morning and dropped the vehicle off the previous night. All I needed was an oil change and wheel alignment. Should've taken a couple of hours. As of 1:00pm, they still hadn't had it on the rack. Thankfully I didn't need it until 5:00pm. They had no answers as to why it wasn't done. They got it done and did drop it off at my house around 4:00pm. Still, if I had needed it by noon, it would not have been done. They did knock $50 off the price. I was also told the oil change was $99 but was charged $109!? It's been a couple of years since I used them bc it's a newer vehicle. I think I used them 2 or 3 times earlier and had no issues. Very prompt and the fact they keep in touch with pictures and information is helpful. It's a short walk too so I do't have to wait and they'll drop it off at my house if requested. I"lol go back but my time is valuable too. Can't have this happen a second time. read more

Great service from Silver Lake Auto & Tire Centers! They always go above and beyond to make sure I am taken care of. I was updated throughout the day and able to check out the vitals and condition of my truck through their very convenient online dashboard that is updated as they inspect my vehicle...all complimentary services! They also offer a free loaner car while yours is being worked on. The entire crew at this shop is excellent. Very nice waiting area with a big screen TV to watch whatever you like and complimentary beverages are a nice treat. The warm cookies I received after picking up my vehicle are always nice too. Too pricey, I went for an oil change and they charged me $118.00 for Mobil 1 when I asked another mechanic close to work , they told me $75 For Mobil Oil. Then I need to put a new power steering pressure pump and it was almost $900 and thank Good I went to the other place and they did for $480. read more

I had a flat tire and was supposed to be towed on a Monday. But on Sunday I got a text that he would like to do it Sunday. When he came, he was super nice and instead of the tow he changed the tire to my spare. Saved me a tow and I took it that week for a new tire. read more

Long explanation... I took my car to the Brookfield location for a slow leak on one of my tires. I dropped the car off for my appointment at 8:15 and did not receive a call about the status until 2:30, when they told me they could not find the locking lug nut tool to be able to get the wheel off of the car to test the leak on the tire. I bought the car used, so was not surprised to hear this. When I picked the car up at 5:00, Josh went into the shop when I asked what they could do to rectify the problem. One of the guys told him he had a tool to break the lock and could replace the lug nut with a non- locking one. Why couldn't this question have been asked when they had my car all day and it could have been resolved on that one visit? Since I needed my car the next day, I took my car and said I would look for the tool and I would get back to them. A few days later I called back after not being able to find the tool, to make an appointment to have all of the locking lug nuts removed and the leaking tire patched. When I dropped off my car on Thursday for my appointment at 8:30, I asked what it would cost to have the lug nuts removed, the new associate behind the desk asked one of the managers, and he said it would cost "around 60 bucks". I asked how long it would take and they said it would be done around lunch time. Once again, I didn't receive a call until 4:30 letting me know that they could fix the leak in the tire, but recommended that I get four new tires instead. I asked that they fix the leak for now and we could discuss the tires later. The car would be ready for pickup at 5:45. When I went to pick up my vehicle, the bill for the lug nut was $105! When I expressed my displeasure of the "more than 60 bucks", the new associate gave me a $9.81 discount, bringing the charge down to 97.09 plus the $38.95 for the tire repair (which was warranted). The following Monday when I left for work, the warning light came on again, letting me know the same tire was below the recommended psi. When I went to the shop on Tuesday morning to ask for a refund on the service, I was told that only the manager, Matt, could approve a refund. Over the weekend I priced out tires at a few places, knowing it was probably a good idea to get them replaced with the winter weather approaching, so I asked what they could offer me for the same kind of tires. Silver Lake Auto's price came back at nearly $300 more than the exact tires I priced elsewhere. Since Matt was not available, the new associate told me he would call me to do the refund over the phone with my credit card, as soon as Matt came into the shop. I never received that call, so today (Wednesday) at 12:30, I called the shop and the manager, Matt, answered the phone. When I explained the long story to him, he said they could not issue a refund without seeing the tire again, because "you could have driven over a nail over the weekend and the leak may not have been due to our work." (Really? A leak in the same tire, just 4 days later?). When I said that it would have been inconvenient for me to bring my car in, he said they would come get it to take a look and fix it. I told him a fix was not necessary, because I ordered the $300 less tires that would be soon installed. I was just asking for a refund of the $38.95. After looking at the tire, they did end up making the fix, without telling me. "There was lots of corrosion on the tire and they must not have gotten it off on the first visit, which is why it was still leaking." Matt told me they don't give refunds, they stand by their work. He told me Josh would be bringing my car back to me with the fixed tire. Sorry for the very long post, but I thought it was necessary to explain that it took several visits, two full days of having my car (when they said it would take a couple of hours), an extreme lack of communication, getting charged more than originally stated, and a huge rigamarole to not be able to get a refund of just $38.95 + tax. Silver Lake Auto has lost my business and I will never recommend them. ***Kudos to them, they apologized and did everything necessary to make things right for me. read more

I experienced some problems with my car while traveling. Silver Lake was so helpful and friendly on the phone when I called - fitting me in the next morning to take a look. They provided me a courtesy ride to my meetings that day, and after identifying the solution, clearly explained the plan and costs, which they could make the next day. A shuttle driver picked me up, and took me back to the shop, where they provided me with a courtesy loaner vehicle. I cannot say enough about their great service!! read more

So this was my first time here. I've always dreaded taking any of my vehicles in for service as the track record has been horrible. I was pleasantly surprised just walking in the door. First, it clean and you're greeted by a friendly employee. They have a comfortable waiting area and offer free rides and loaner vehicles! Needed 4 new tires for an SUV, routine 50,000 mile maintenance. I worked with Tyler. He is an excellent communicator and keeps you advised of timing, needs, etc. Silver Lake does something I had never seen before: They text you photos of anything the car needs so you can see for yourself and then make the call whether to replace/repair, or not. Very effective tactic when you think about how many times a dealership has sold you something you didn't think you needed. With 4 new tires, they offer an extended warranty on tires and repairs, free rotation for the life of the tire. You must bring the vehicle back within 50 miles of driving so they can ensure wheel torque. I went back after work that day because of the mileage I drive. There was a blizzard and traffic was nasty so I called to say I would try to be there before they close and Tyler stayed open 10 minutes later to wait for me. He could not have been nicer. This tire center undersold all the others in price and offered A+ customer service. I highly recommend. read more
