They did a full inspection on the tire and told me that the rim actually had cracks on it. The cracks could've possibly been from potholes, curbs, etc. What I liked about that interaction is that they were completely honest with me. They even recommended a nearby shop that was able to weld the rim together. I was extremely satisfied with the service.

They have great pricing and always can fit me in on short notice. We have taken three different vehicles here. Sure the guys at the front desk can be short. If you want the full customer service experience go pay 50-100% more at a dealership. My only negative remark is sometimes it takes them a bit longer than stated for repairs. I try to drop our stuff off early in the day and pick it up end of day to avoid problems.

I bought the original Blizzak tires from Firestone, and the swapping (tires are mounted on different set of wheels) is effortless. The first time I needed the tires mounted on new wheels they also did a great job. I once made the mistake of doing this in the Brown Deer location and that was a mistake. They over inflated the tires. Brookfield location was worth the drive. Highly recommended.

I've had my car there 3 times for service since they first opened their doors a few months ago. In…read moreeach case, I was totally satisfied with the quality of the work done. The first time, I had a coolant leak and the mechanic actually SHOWED me where it was leaking. Actually seeing the problem with my own eyes when the car was on the lift immediately made me feel that they can be trusted. They fixed that problem, did some other overdue maintenance work, and the car's been running much better now, zero problems. The only minor problem I had was that I asked for the parts to be returned to me, and they weren't. That really wasn't a big deal since my driveway isn't full of coolant spots any more. I thought the price for this repair was entirely fair. The second time was a problem that couldn't be duplicated when I was driving it while the tech was in the car with me. Ah well... They didn't charge me for that visit. The most recent visit was exceptional. I managed to get the end of a gas funnel stuck in the neck of my gas tank. This caused all kinds of problems when I'd fill up with gas at Kwik Trip. I tried to fish it out myself, but couldn't. I brought it to the dealership, and they told me they couldn't see it or get it out after allegedly scoping it out. The dealership charged me for that visit. I know they have bills to pay, so I was OK with that. On a whim, I brought it to the new Meineke (formerly Pope Autoworx). I told them what happened and that I wanted them to try to get it out, but I'd pay for an hour of time, no matter what. I told them that I wanted to save the part so I could see it. Well... THEY GOT IT OUT!!!!! The dedication, time and effort that they showed me in actually FIXING this problem impressed the hell out of me. I do my own oil changes and brake jobs, but for nearly everything else, this Meineke garage will be my first call.

Earlier…read morethis week, I brought in my Honda Accord LX for a preventative maintenance check because I was recently offered an electrician helper job that will have me traveling all over southeast Wisconsin. I needed to make sure my car was reliable. To my surprise, they discovered my catalytic converter was missing and replaced with just a metal tube. I also needed a nearby frame section replaced because it was damaged and causing a leak. Today, I completely forgot to drop the car off in the morning like we originally planned. I called them around 1:30 PM to explain the situation, and Tim -- truly a miracle worker -- still told me to bring it in. They got the catalytic converter installed and the issue resolved, and I had my car back by around 3 PM the same day. I even offered to pay extra on top of the initial estimate since it was my fault for missing the appointment, but Tim refused and said he was just happy to help me out on this, especially because I just landed a job as an electrician helper. That kind of honesty and customer care is rare. I definitely recommend Affordable Car Care. They go above and beyond.

This time I needed a new tire for one that had sidewall damage. It's a special tire, but they were able to locate one and have it delivered and installed in a couple of days. When picking it up, I was running late and they said, "No worries, we'll be around a little longer -- stop by as soon as you can." I really appreciate their focus on the customer, setting realistic expectations, and getting the work done as promised. I've only had them do tire work, but I'm considering using them for other repairs.
