Hi, first time customer- ordered opening day- spaghetti and a hot dog for the kids, club and Italian sandwich for the adults. Nice price, quick service and good food. Will be back! Thanks

Great new local deli - sandwiches, hot dogs, a small Italian store with local meats! So excited to have this in the neighborhood!!!

Great little local deli, they have hot and cold sandwiches, hotdog, spaghetti, dinners, and a small Italian shop with a dedicated gluten-free section. They also have local meats and treats.

Fantastic small owner Deli in Arvada. Best Italian sausage in town. Looking forward to the expanded menu with calzones, sausage rolls, etc!

Was greeted by the owner, and just the fact she was there told me all I needed to know. Small but cozy space in a strip mall setting, I will probably do a kid free date night here once they get the alcohol going. I rarely find restaurants that exceed expectations on food, service and ambiance. This is one. I ordered the chicken piccata, works pizza, penne bolognese and salad. All were top notch, my kids actually cleaned their plates, and the pizza may be the best in town. When I reheated it, the crust was optimally crispy. I will eat here again, soon

They were pretty busy at around 5:30 on a Saturday evening and we were lucky enough to snag a table since they also take reservations and some were being held. The service was great, she gave us her recommendations and was very very patient while we all decided what plates to share. They give you some small plain bread knots when you sit down and had no problem, giving us a refill, even a side of marinara sauce for dipping when we asked. We started with the Caprese appetizer, which was fresh and delicious lightly, garnished with the balsamic glaze that sets the flavor off, not too overpowering. We shared three different pastas - the penne rustica, the shrimp and artichoke, and the pesto tortellini. The rustica was definitely the best, it had such a depth of flavor, and the sauce was a perfect rosé of creamy tomato, with the vegetables helping set off the textures and flavors even more. The other two pastas were good, but I wouldn't prioritize ordering them again, the pesto tortellini was so rich and creamy, but lacked any pesto flavor, which was surprising since it was vivid and green, and so visually appealing. The shrimp and artichoke was good, but didn't allow me, I felt like the artichoke needed more seasoning or something to bring it out a little in the sauce and pasta mix. The owner Nancy was such a sweetheart. She was so attentive and came over to us multiple times to make sure we had everything we needed. Next time I'll be trying the Bolognese :)

I love this neighborhood gem…read more I have been coming here for years and this is my first recommendation for people new to the area. Everything is always delicious It can be a little loud, a little crowded, long line, but it's worth the wait and you don't have to wait long. I was sorry to hear that they recently had a fire. I hope they can remodel and open soon. It is a little suspicious that so many great local restaurants are experiencing fire and damage lately, I hope it's just random bad luck and nothing more nefarious.

The "Restaurant Kid" Litmus Test: Parisi Passes with Flying Colors…read more On my first day in Denver, a childhood friend took me to lunch at Parisi, though he was admittedly a bit apprehensive. Having grown up with Italian heritage on both sides and parents who owned an Italian restaurant, I am notoriously hard to please when it comes to authentic cuisine. He was worried I'd be overcritical; instead, I was completely charmed. Located in a quaint, quiet neighborhood, Parisi offers the kind of authenticity that is rare to find. Here is why it earned a perfect score from a tough critic: The Main Course: The Tagliatelle Ragu was balanced and traditional--exactly what you want from a high-caliber kitchen. The "Woodfire" Factor: The aroma of the woodfire pizza oven hits you the moment you walk in. While we opted to eat inside rather than on the lovely patio, those scents alone convinced me that I have to return specifically for the pizza next time. The Grand Finale: I had to finish the meal with my favorite, Stracciatella gelato. It was the perfect creamy, artisanal end to a fantastic lunch. The service was seamless, the ambiance was inviting, and the food spoke for itself. If you're looking for a spot that feels like a true slice of Italy in the middle of Denver, this is it. I'll definitely be back to tackle that pizza menu!

The decor is charming. Our server, Holly, brought us our requested water. My husband ordered bread and butter for the table. He chose the split plate of spaghetti and ravioli. He requested Bolognese instead of marinara. The meals came with salads and he decided to get the Italian dressing. My son chose ranch with his salad and ordered the fettuccini alfredo adding parmesan chicken on top. I chose the fettuccini and meatballs with marinara. I selected Italian dressing for my salad. The salads came on cold plates which made the veggies seem even crisper than they were. It was more than just the usual side salad with the addition of garbanzo beans. We all enjoyed the freshness. My dish was ample and tasty. The meatballs are fork and knife size. The marinara had a bright tomato flavor. Overall enjoyable and enough to bring home for lunch the next day. In fact, we all needed a container. Holly boxed everything up for us. This was a pleasant evening out.

He was not bad, but it was too loud and we struggled to have conversation. Our waitress was very nice and attentive. We ordered the toasted ravioli appetizer, eggplant parmesan, lasagna and both had the Caesar salad. The dressing on our salads didn't not have any flavor. The toasted ravioli was good but the marinara sauce was thin and the flavor was strange. Once we tasted that, we feared what our meals were going to taste like and unfortunately our fears were confirmed. The eggplant was undercooked and the breading was bland. The lasagna was doused in the marinara sauce and served in a bowl so there was no escaping it. The portions of both meals were more than plenty but the sauce completely ruined them and we didn't even eat half.

I personally loved the Pigs & Pears. Everything just went really well together and it was super delicious. From the crust to the cook on it, it is one I would try to replicate at home for sure. This is not the restaurant's fault at all, so the lack of two stars is not for their shortcomings, but for our dining experience. Hear me out. Noise sensitivity is always a consideration for where we go. Bar+Friday Night+Dinner time has potential for being loud anywhere. I get it. But unfortunately, we were surrounded by small loud children that all seemed to compete in the loudest volume competition. I have children and totally understand they do what they do. But for us, a lunch or weeknight dinner may be better because we had to get out. It was so loud that I couldn't have a conversation with the adults at our table. So if you have similar challenges, skip Friday night dinner but definitely go a less busy time! Job well done for the staff and folks behind the line!

After entering the building, the hostess approached with a tepid "what's up." Our server acted like taking our order was a favor, and she was so eager to walk away I had to get her attention TWICE to finish ordering what I wanted (hey, can we also get an order of pepperoni rolls, HEY, can I also get an IPA). Zero attention paid to water and drinks that needed replenishing. The manager needs to pay more attention to the level of service and professionalism of the staff, a lot more. This may be why they tack on a mandatory 20% surcharge with a little lecture on the receipt about how it provides a living wage, because I doubt they'd ever get tips at that level with this style of service. Or maybe the service is that way because they don't feel any need to work for a gratuity. Under the circumstances, calling this a "hospitality" charge was just plain tacky. I didn't feel like there was any hospitality, certainly not enough to warrant a 20% fee.
