Have been here several times. I have always been pleased with the food. Nice selection for all in your party, those wanting breakfast and those wanting lunch. Have usually enjoyed their hot roast beef, but this last visit I tried their Caprese chicken, served with a side of asparagus. Believe the price was just $12.99. This is now what I will order from now on. Very delicious, cooked perfectly with asparagus on the side. The wait staff in the past have been somewhat lacking in enthusiasm. We were in the area about 11:30 a.m. on a Saturday. We were searching for a place to eat and figured we try this place out. The restaurant was pretty busy and a large group had just been seated. The restaurant has a separate entrance from the casino and doors that isolate it from the casino so, it was not smokey. It also appeared to be very clean. We were seated in a timely fashion and provided menus. The menu is very extensive and breakfast is served all day. In a short time someone came to take our drink order and someone else came right after to take our food order. My wife ordered the breakfast burrito and I ordered the Philly cheese steak sandwich. Our meals came out quicker than we expected. They looked and tasted amazing. We think this place is better than the average small casino coffee shop. It has convenient access to I-80 in both directions. The food was good at a decent price. The also appear to have some very good daily and weekly specials. The Silverado casino and restaurant has it's good and bad days, but overall the reason is for 2 stars is a lack of communication from Management when it comes to customers complaints referring to the establishment of the restaurant. They give you comment cards on how to improving the place, just fyi I've filled out about (4-5) cards and no answer. But the owner or management has refused to talk to me, when asked for him. As for food and service, the service is an 8.5/10 The ladies do what they can with what they have. There's alot of gossiping and days I feel rushed when it comes to some of the staffed but they are just doin their job. Food needs to be a worthy portion for the prices they charge. read more

Not a friendly place to go especially if you have a service dog. As soon as I entered the casino and sat at a machine in front of the cage I was approached by a staff member that rudely asked if my dog was an emotional support animal. I corrected her and said no shes a SRD the rude staff member smacked her teeth and rolled her eyes then said okay as if dshe didnt believe me. The worst part of my experience was because i was in front opf the cage I noticed the two old ladies were staring at me and my service dog while talking and pointing. They were staring at me for so long I felt the need to wave at them they quickly moved from my view. This made me feel so bad that I went to the bathroom to cry, its already hard enough due to my condition .... I cant gamble in vegas because of the large amounts of flashing light so my boyfriend decided to try out smaller casinos and this experience made me feel absolutely bad for being a nuisance because of my condition and that is not the way it should be..... Dont go here if you have a condition with a service animal. however they have another casino called Silver strike in carson that are much friendlier for those in need of a service animal. drive the extra time and feel equal to everyone else. This is my first time here. A friend recommended it and so I wanted to try some place new. I ordered chicken fingers and onions rings with a soda. Strips were moist but a little too crispy round the edges. Onion rings were awesome! Perfectly crisp. The service was extremely slow when it came to our food. Drinks were kept filled but the food took almost 45 minutes to arrive. Considering we were the only people we could see, that seemed extensive. I will most likely give the place one more try to see if they can improve. Went for breakfast on a Saturday. Really enjoyed the Steak and Eggs special steak was cooked like I ordered. I did check out the breakfast buffet and it looked great. The price seemed unreal. A little heavy on the carbs for me. For a casino they really seem to take care of the smoke issues. If I lived in Fernley this would be a great place to get breakfast....maybe I will review the lunch options sometime soon. Doubtful for dinner though. read more

I Love giving excellent reviews when warranted, however, Silverado does not measure up. They have raised their prices and deliver poor quality food. My Mother just went there this weekend had a burger melt, the meat was rare, small and food quality was overall bad. I recently ordered the $5.99 hot dog, waitress said it was good. The hot dog came with no fixings whatsoever, hot dog tasted like an Oscar Mayer dog, french fries were ok. For $6.00 you would think you would get something more than a dog and a bun. On a positive note: the coffee shop is isolated from the casino and is quiet, waitresses are nice. read more

Seen folks literally vomit pillars of puke in the bar while the bartender is oblivious to it 2 feet away. Stopped in for dinner last night and then again for lunch today. Service was top notch for both visits. Quickly greeted, shown to a table, checked on frequently and water/sodas kept filled. In my opinion the dinner menu is a bit limited, but they have a great many choices of sandwiches, burgers, and breakfast items I addition to some dinner options. I chose the 19.99 ribeye. It was cooked perfectly, however it wasn't seasoned well. IMO a good steak doesn't need sauces and this one, while I didn't crack the sauce bottles open, I considered it the whole time. The vegetables was a pile of sliced summer squash, steamed until limp and flavorless. The baked potatoe was great The warm roll was delicious! For an app (I was hungry lol) I had the coconut shrimp...big shrimp done right! For lunch today there was 3 of us, each had a different sandwich of sorts, all enjoyed. I have gone out with friends a few times and they have a very limited beer selection. I mainly go in to use their change counter and to break bills for various occasions (yard sales and craft fairs). I HAD to get out of my smelly smoky room next door at the "Super 8" so I tried the Ranch House Restaurant for dinner. I was super pleasantly surprised. Yes, the casino stinks too, (seriously, Fernley, it's 2017. Amazing strides have been made in the VENTILATION industry in the past twenty years... it's time to look into solving the second-hand lung cancer thing you've got goin' on!) but the restaurant has its own entrance and door, so the smoke isn't too detectable inside. I got the Angus Ribeye ($19.99). It came with soup or salad -- I got salad -- roll with butter, choice of potato (baked with works!) and veggies. The salad was really good; your basic side with iceberg, veggies and croutons. Tasty. The steak was even better than I had hoped. Cooked perfectly medium-rare with maitre d'hotel butter. It was scrumptious! I mean, really really delicious! My server was Elizabeth and she was as nice as could be as was another server with whom I chatted briefly. One star taken off for the terrible booth seats -- broken springs and ripped vinyl. Ick! ...and for the sounds emanating from the bussing station - I swear the servers were dropping the dishes into bus pans from a height of ten feet. The racket is ridiculous. Best thing about this place was the food so I'll give it up to the cooks who actually know what they're doing. Wait staff need to learn to work on their communication skills and the bar itself was probably the most disappointing since their whiskey sour consists of maybe an ounce and a half of whiskey and the rest is sweet and sour mix in a Collins glass. Now I understand some bars don't allow the use of egg whites but when you want to go on and ask others "Have you ever used egg whites in a drink" and try to make someone feel dumb, believe me if you're an actual bartender you'll know how to make an actual drink and know the ingredients. I took my parents out to celebrate. They were busy, but we were greeted and sat for only a few minutes before getting our table. The restaurant was was clean, the staff was friendly, fast, and our food was delicious. Wish the kids menu had more, but my son won't eat anything. My rib eye was perfect. She wouldn't even look me in eyes when she came to the table. When she came to pick up my card she didn't say a word, and when she dropped it off she didn't say anything either. Was in town for the funeral of my 93 year father at the veteran's cemetery. My Mom and I stayed at the Super 8 and walked over to the casino, where I decided to sign up for a player's card. My expired (5 years ago) driver's license was deemed unsuitable as ID. Was told I shouldn't even be in the casino. I shrugged it off and played penny video poker for a bit, before being told officially to leave the casino, on account of the expired license. What?!!? I don't drive anymore, but the birthdate, photo, and address on my license is still valid! I'm 52! What if a drifter with no ID whatsoever came in to gamble with his panhandling money? Or my Dad, whose license also expired 5 years ago? Would they tell him to leave too???? Insane. read more

The food is wonderful and the service just can't be out-done, and the prices are very fair for the quality of food we received. One of the best things about Silverado Casino is they have a self service change machine! Not everyone a good with credit or debit cards. I use both cash & card, so I save up my change for several months and take it in. There is no fee for using the machine and you can take you cash and head out. The casino area and machines all look clean. They have hand sanitizer station and the bathrooms are clean as well. The only drawback is the cigarette smell. It is probably embedded into walls, ceiling and floors. read more

This place has grown on me as a second favorite to my Fernley casino set. They've made some improvements yet have scaled back on the random Jake The Snake cash giveaway (can I get a rattle y'all)?! It remains clean, good slots which play with you pretty well and when they do have their drawings and what not it seems fun enough. Not long ago they did change their in-house Silverado Restaurant into the Ranch House Restaurant which, for all intensive purposes, was rearranged a bit however nothing too drastic other than the name change. If my memory serves me the employees seem to stick around as I remember some faces. And for that I will continue use of my player card :) read more

The folks live in Fernley, NV during the summer, but this year they are going to try and cope with the winter there. Good luck and dont call me when youre freezing your asses off. I think theres only 2 ways to get into Fernley, one on the east end of the 80 and one on the west. I find myself talking with a little bit more of a country drawl when I visit. Its out there in the boons opinion for someone who lives in Los Angeles. Their favorite spot to "game", as my mom calls it, is The Silverado. So they took me for an evening of drinks and gaming a few weeks ago. Their drinks were waiting for them at the bar as soon as we opened the door. One of the bartenders told me they can hear my folks garage door open and they know theyre on the way! Friendly folks that work there - Betty was one of the bartenders. Mom took me around and introduced me to everybody before I was able to get loose with the slots and cocktails. Small casino with a small sportsbook, restaurant and lounge for sports on tv. The main bar seems to be the hub of the place. Hardcore video poker players looking for the royal flush payout. Sat next to a woman that hit the royal for 1200 after only playing for 10 minutes. Lucky. I hit 4 aces for 120 and another 4 of a kind for 80 that night. Had a bunch of whiskey and cokes then was treated to dinner by ma and pa before we headed back to their house. We haunt the lounge for a few hours once a week, for an after work stress relief gathering. Rounded out with some to-go appetizers from the Restaurant, a good time is usually had by all. Our server is attentive and friendly, and remembers all of our "usuals". The only real gripe is that you can't get food served in the lounge anymore because of a stupid *state* law. but that's not the Casino's fault. Karaoke happens on Teus & Fri, which is why we don't meet on those days. ;-) read more

I am a weekender up here. If I could find a job, I would move to Fernley. Anyways, I really prefer Silverado over the other casino - restaurants in town. Jake's has a HUGE menu, so there is usually something to please even us picky people. The service is very quick. As for the casino, it has been the only one paying me back lately.
