Unfortunately, I'm writing this review to one of our favorite spots in Napa. We have been guests at Silverado to many times to count...12+. We stayed this past weekend for two nights. I booked a room through the internet several weeks prior to our arrival. I also called personally to request the type of room and location. We have always stayed near the pool and marketplace so we could walk to pool and coffee in morning. When we arrived, I was told I had made no request and they had a room off Cottage Drive (786) which you must drive to, this was not acceptable. I talked to two people, and all they could say was NO, we are totally booked and to basically take the room, or not but we are going to charge you since its past the reservation date. They said they would try to put us into our original room the following day. After coffee at Marketplace, we went to main building to ask about our room, and again all they said was NO. Extremely bad customer service and no effort to help. While checking out, I was walking to my car, and I noticed my back window was shattered by a golf ball. Security filled and report and I talked to the security director. Nice guy, but once again no help with the repair. I understand there liability, but they could have offered a free bunch, or bottle of wine or something to offset this costly accident for a long-time customer. We all have options, unfortunately Silverado will not be my go-to-option when we travel to Sonoma/Napa again. Matt read more

Easter brunch NOT WORTH $113 A PERSON. Lamb was flavorless and over cooked, ham was over cooked to the point it was dry throughout. Oysters weren't even fully prepared, had to scrape them myself. The crab cakes tasted like they came from dollar tree If that's even possible and on top of that we're served on a burger bun, not a English muffin, and the egg was over cooked and had pieces of shell in it. Coffee tasted like instant coffee put through a filter. I wonder how many minutes I held my coffee cup in the air only to be looked at dead in the eyes while holding to refill for my coffee and walking straight past me. Only good parts of the meal were the desert, Easter bunny and the gnocchi. read more

Nickled and dimed at the Silverado! It's not an inexpensive place. But when my wife asks at check in where to swim laps, they point us across the street. There's nobody at the front desk there, so we go into the pool and she starts laps. Along comes the staff, with a Silverado badge, and says it's $40 to swim, and $40 for me to just sit in a chair and watch. "It's not really Silverado". I guess it's just across the street with the same name and logo? Oh yes, it's OK to charge it to my Silverado account... And I thought it was classy. Unfortunately, the Resort has lost what splendor it once had. I stayed in one of the cottages on the golf course(I was in Napa on business). The room is dated, the furniture is dirty, the carpet is filthy, and I found several of these small red bugs in the linen, when squashed blood came out...bed bugs? I only stayed because I had unpacked and I wouldn't be there but a couple of days. The curtains are ancient and make a horrendous noise when closing or opening. At the small store on campus, the prices were exorbitant($3.50 for a can of Coke). I would not recommend this place, especially for the price. I didn't include any pictures because it was all so disgusting that it was pointless. This is what is happening in Napa: They are trading on the "Name" and the famous wineries that are here in the valley. Sadly, the town is run down and has been for years(I know I lived here for a while), and I have business here, so I travel to the Valley with some frequency; this is not a "one-off" review. The restaurants and the food are, by and large, mediocre and definitely not worth the price. The area has potential; however, there is no vision and no one to make the vision happen. WTF! We had the absolute best time at Silverado! We got married at Silverado (the Grove) summer of 2023, and absolutely loved the resort as a wedding venue and space to host our guests (nearly everyone came from out of town). The staff were so welcoming from day one, and Silverado provided our suite with thoughtful touches and surprises throughout our wedding weekend. Our wedding coordinator, Katie Records, was an absolute joy to work with -- always super prompt with communication and willing to go above and beyond with everything including the last minute addition of patio umbrellas for a near 100 degree wedding day. Very few Napa wedding venues can offer the all inclusive experience of Silverado, with on site accommodations and above and beyond services, all in a beautiful setting. Highly recommend! read more

Of this place is for the wealthy and privileged but once a year, the PGA has a championship golf tournament at Silverado, which is a nice venue. The tournament was better when it was sponsored by Safeway but it is still a nice tournament to spend the day watching golf. Silverado itself is beautiful and well maintained. We spent two nights and three days here to celebrate my Wife's Birthday. We ate at the Grill and picked up dinner at Giovanni. Everything was great. We stayed in one of the homes on the course and it was clean and comfortable. We had planned to hit golf balls at the Driving Range, but because of the amount of rain we had gotten, it was closed. One of the prettier places but their service is horrible!!! The check in person, Lisa is a robot who uses the word "unfortunately" in her every sentence. It's incredible that in all my life I have yet to ever experience this. When we arrived at 2pm, we are told unfortunately check in is at 4pm. When asked for a specific room that was on request from booking, unfortunately they don't do this. When we were sent to a building off the property, it was unfortunately that's all they have. When one of our party must have ground floor and not having to climb steep stairs, it was unfortunately no choice. When asked to switch room, it was unfortunately all room are pre-assigned. When our room was small like a jail cell and we asked for an upgrade, it was unfortunately nothing available. When asked for a room number, unfortunately it's against their policy. When asked for a table at the restaurant it was unfortunately they don't open for another 15 min and we were not allowed to hang there. When my room wasn't ready at 4pm, it was unfortunately nothing they can do. When asked when the room will be ready since we have an event, it was unfortunately she has no idea. When asked for a manager she said unfortunately there isn't one on duty. For $500/night I really didn't expect to open my room door to be a foot into my bed kind of tiny; to move your feet to close the bathroom door, tiny. This is the worst I've seen! When I finally had enough and said I would Yelp this place, it was only then I finally had a positive response to do it! Her name is Lisa and she encouraged me to write this. Let's be clear she had never attended any service training! This is such a shame bc I do believe they lack the care when they believe this property will draw ppl here! read more

Such an expensive place, you'd think they cared a bit more about having return customers. We came for a single night stay + 2 rounds of golf for 4 people, with the idea of having a longer stay with a large group of people in the very near future. That longer stay will not be happening. When we checked in we clearly had 4 adults (couples) standing there (a weekday stay) and was still given a room with 1 king and 2 twin beds without asking us or letting us know. We didn't know about the twin beds until later that evening as we went to lunch then golf. Lunch was delicious, but we paid with a credit card and when we received the invoice after check out, they charged more than $200 to the room for the lunch (double charge). Good thing we recognized this and immediately called on Monday morning. They did reverse this charge, which we were grateful for. We had a beautiful dinner in Yountville and put our leftovers on the counter of the condo, with the hopes of having them after a glass of wine on the balcony... but, within 20 mins our food was covered in ANTS! We waited about 39 mins for maintenance, then our room Smelled like that spray. Like I said, I wish they cared a bit more about having return customers... just got a "we've reversed the charge" and nothing else for the double charged lunch, not even a "how can we change your experience for the future?". Not worth the money. I'll start with the positive: Lorraine in their reservation group was fantastic and super helpful as was Aaron in the pro shop. Whoever the chef is at The Grille, deserves a raise. The filet we had for dinner was absolutely delectable. From the outside, you would expect the rooms to be fabulous. Well, they might have forgotten to renovate the room we got. I would never expect to see an old wall heater in the bathroom (see photo) at a "resort" nor a basically portable heater/AC (see photo) and probably the oldest TV remote I've seen in a long time (see photo). My friend and I stayed for her birthday and while the property and our room were beautiful the service and organization of my booking was sub par. They changed my reservation the day before I was set to arrive and when I called they continuously told me there was nothing they could do, my reservation was cancelled, and to contact billing. We arrived anyways, showed them our reservation and were accommodated. Throughout our trip we encountered issues and confusion with the staff. They said pickleball was included, but charged us for ball/paddle rentals. They offered breakfast vouchers when I booked online but when it came time to redeem them nobody knew what I was talking about. When we checked out they had multiple charges on my receipt that I didn't recognize; it took three printed receipts to get to the correct total. Again, the property was gorgeous and we enjoyed our stay, but we didn't feel very welcome. read more

I was there recently for a wedding and while the venue was spectacular, I overheard some very sexually charged and inappropriate comments coming from a bellman. I believe his name is Jordan, but I'm unsure since his nametag was slightly covered. I had a lovely experience overall, but hearing this young man say these comments about my friends in the wedding was very upsetting. If you go here just be aware you are being looked at like a piece of meat by at least one of the bellman... Other than this unfortunate event... Lovely front desk staff! Very helpful and informative. Market staff seemed very overwhelmed, but the pizza was great! Tried getting extra blankets at night, but I never received them. The Grill was okay. Not many options. Stayed here twice for very different occasions: once for a bachelorette weekend and another for a getaway trip with the family (including kids). Served both purposes well! Nice to have the market on the grounds and we made good use of the pool. Minus one star bc a bit inconvenient if you get placed in one of the cottages further away and the pool a bit overly chlorinated. read more

The grounds are beautiful, and its a convenient location. We had a King Suite and it was fine. It was odd to have a full kitchen and no plates. Also, our particular suite did have people above us and boy, could we hear them! Not very relaxing. Also, people passed our door a lot because the parking lot by us was closer to some of the other suites. Obnoxious loud people yell talking as they passed our room wasn't relaxing either. Maybe put up " Quiet Zone" signs. If you stayed on one of the condos woth nobody above you, it would be better. I also was NOT impressed by the bartenders. They need to smile ( esp. mark) and be more engaging. Not just with regulars. The prices are high compared to other clubs and bars. But the dungeness crab tostada was good! The pool area wasn't my favorite I've been to. The kid who waited on us was terrible. Took our drink order and never came to see if we liked it or if we wanted another. Thanksgiving Buffet Event Review - $141 per person. *********** So, let me start by saying that I didn't want to go out to dinner on Thanksgiving. I acquiesced to my husband because it was his year to be with family and it didn't work out. I figured that if I wasn't going to cook, and we were going out, we should do something fun and special. Sigh. We had to wait forever to get our table. They were having issues with turnover and enough seating. All the tables were squished together. Lots of kids on iPads with the sound up. Super noisy with a keyboard guy raised over the deserts pounding it out. All the blinds were closed so it was dark, stuffy, and you could see the RSV, COVID and flu floating by. Get to our table and we were pretty much an afterthought to the servers. I cleared my own plate and my husbands most of the dinner. Server was super sweet and said she was pretty embarrassed at how disorganized it was. Now the food. So many dry and nasty things. - Turkey. Dry. - Lobster. Dry. - Gnocchi. Fried and dry. - Rolls. Stale and dry. - Prime Rib. Medium to med well. But it did taste good. The good to excellent. - Salads - Prawns and crab - Soup - Quartered roasted squash - Kids table Mac & Cheese - Dessert Are we full? Sure. Unfortunately we left feeling totally ripped off and kinda pissed. Luckily I have a turkey breast in the fridge I'm gonna brine for the weekend. We will just repeat at home Saturday. Now, I hope this isn't how they do banquets. They do huge weddings and things so I figured the food would be good. This place has so much potential with a few tweaks. The establishment is huge- it reminded me of the camp in Marvelous Ms.Maisel. Lots of lawn games, outdoor bonfire by the Market, tennis courts, pool, apartments and villas for rent. Pretty close to downtown Napa (very tasking overpriced bike ride with their bike share; I was shocked renting bikes wasn't free). Their market has items for purchase including breakfast sandwiches, coffee, charcuterie items etc. We stayed in an apartment while our friends stayed in a villa. Our apartment was filthy, three lights were flickering constantly and needed changing (how house cleaning missed this I don't know), the robes provided in the closet were USED and not washed (I smelled very pungent mens deodorant on the pit area and it had brown marks). Our friends' villa on the other hand was beautiful and well kept. It was incredibly difficult to find our apartment at night- no signs or directions anywhere for the number blocks- so they could improve their way finding a LOT; thank god for the random guy on the golf cart. Went on a rainy weekend but it was a pleasant stay. We stayed at the cottage suite. Parking was very convenient given that it is sheltered and in front of your door. They also offer 24/7 complimentary shuttle service. Loved the cozy decor. Room came with a full sized kitchen, a large balcony that overlooked a small river/ golf course and a fireplace. You have to call for flammable logs to be delivered to your room (limit 1 per day) and it lasts for about 3 hrs. The Tv is on the smaller side and a bit older. I suggest booking very far ahead for the spa. We had been trying to find a spot for a while with no luck. Food was decent. They have a limited menu unless you dine in. However, there's plenty of snacks you can buy from the market. We ordered room service and the food came warm and fast. Our only disappointment was that the wood fire oven pizza wasn't being served due to the weather but that's out of their control. The staff were very amiable and helpful. read more

I have never been or even heard of this particular resort before but my friend swears by it! Everything was very clean but very small and petite. Which is fine for an actual couple, but since I was tagging along as a third wheel, the king size bed was lucky to fit all of us granted I liked sleeping on the floor. Lol I was happy to know there was extra bedding in the closet. I forgot to take pictures of the inside before we unpacked our things, But it was a normal style room. We had a very nice outdoor patio area with some tables and chairs and we were right across the walkway from the pool. I don't believe the pool is heated but it was 80° out and the pool felt like a nice lukewarm bath! As soon as the sun went down, it was freezing cold with the wind blowing! We initially chose Silverado Resort & Spa for its beautiful setting and the available rooms for our wedding party, family and out-of-town guests. We were definitely "sold" and promised many amenities. But with the high turnover and their acquisition from the affiliates of Colorado-based KSL Capital Partners LLC and Arcade Capital LLC, our celebration was certainly diminished. Our guests could not make reservations and mishaps in important details added to the confusion and chaos of our important weekend. We were also required to hire a wedding planner, so we chose one from Silverado Resort & Spa's list of wedding planners and that was our first mistake. The wedding planner lacked event planning experience and made our experience worse. If I could turn back time, I would have definitely chosen a different venue. read more

Finally coming out for some spa time. Came out on a Tuesday to avoid the busyness of most resorts. Cute set up at the entrance to entice you to make purchases from their boutique. I was pleasantly hit with a wonderful lavender aroma from the entry way. Only one lady at the reception counter. Had a minor wait due to the unending calls she was receiving. 6 feet distance markers placed on floors, plexiglass at the reception and hand sanitizer. Finally greeted and escorted to our rooms by the therapists. Great, energetic, professional and attentive ladies!!!! My therapist was Christine. She is amazing! I appreciated Christine explaining the steps to keep me feeling confident and safe. Sanitizing solution offered and when she returned my mask to me she did take care to use a napkin when providing it back. I appreciated those details. Another minor wait after our massages.... again, never ending calls with only one lady at the register. We had our lunch served to pool side. Nice variety on their daily menu. I was pleased with my order. The over all appearances of the resort area feels older but well maintained. Pool was clean. Although the chairs, tables and lawn chairs could use some occasional wipe down. Birds took aiming practice on the chairs and dust on the furniture. read more

I am writing this review at 2am. We were woken up at 12:30am by a loud after party, and despite speaking with the front desk several times, the party continued to grow and become louder with loud music blaring. There must have been at least 30 people in this nearby room. Though I understand the start of this incident is outside the hotel's control, the hotel'a response time was terrible. It took over an hour for the security person to respond to the incident, and instead of staying on premise to make sure the situation was resolved, the front desk alleged they only have one security person on-sight and is unable to do much else. This completely interrupted our sleep and ruined our vacation weekend. Would not recommend staying here, as they are unable to handle unruly guests read more

Beautifully landscape resort. Golf course surrounding the place where we stayed. I only have it 4 star even though it was an amazing experience because the check in office is quite a drive from the place we were staying. When we got to our villa, the card key to open the door gave us trouble. We couldn't go in for a good 10 minutes. There was 4 of us trying. So, that was a 10 minute time wasted when we could of been enjoying the spa. :) It was not the most modern up to date place I've stayed in but the most spacious one. With 4 of us staying here, We had 3 bedrooms & 2 baths. More than enough to get a really good night sleep. The surrounding area was so peaceful covered with beautiful landscaping and trees. We had 2 sided walkable outdoor seating and very close to a pool. The furniture inside is somewhat outdated but they did have stainless steel dishwasher and fridge. We took advantage of the pool, massage, steam room, and sauna at their facility and it felt wonderful. Everything felt nice. Staff was attentive. We didn't get to dine in their facility because we wanted to try a few restaurant downtown Napa. Our trip is completely relaxing & I would recommend staying here. You would love it. read more

Checking in was a breeze and the lobby looked nice and the outdoor lounge area looked super upscale. I wish that transcended as well with the rooms. The only reason I booked this room was because in the pics it exuded elegance and looked renovated and new. The room I received on the contrary depicted a different story. It looked like an older unit, the outdoor patio had mold growing on the chairs, and there was something odd with the air quality inside the room. The unit we received looked nothing like the pics. When I called the front desk she confirmed that it was the one I had booked which was the mansion estates. Definitely FALSE ADVERTISEMENT. Not sure why they post pics which doesn't match the ones In the room . Will not be staying here again . I told them about the chairs and they did nothing about it. Horrible service. We had a nice one night stay here. The resort is just off of the Silverado trail, north of the town of Napa, south of Yountville. It's a large resort, so we had to check in at the main lobby, but drive to The Cottages section - which was more like a condominium complex. The parking is by carport, and the unit is right behind the carport. Our upstairs unit overlooked the end of the driving range. The unit is fairly updated, and was in good condition except a handle on the barndoor bathroom door was missing. Other than that we had no complaints. The kitchen was small but suitable - and would have come in handy if stayed a bit longer. Especially with COVID, the kitchen is a nice amenity. We hope to return for a longer stay in warmer months to use the pools. read more

She was friendly, intelligent, articulate, and helped find a work around to celebrate. I've been to Silverado many times and am a frequent traveler- Tracine is the best!!!!! Please don't waste your money and stay somewhere else that's much nicer. Room we paid for was well over $580 for our room a night that had no view, far from the main grounds and very out dated. I had requested a nice room with a view since we were celebrating our anniversary. I had made it very clear in the notes when I made the reservation. When I had called front desk to let them know they were told me there was nothing they could do, even spoke to the manager and he had told me that they were completely full. I was and am still extremely frustrated and disappointed that this "resort" did not deliver or try to accommodate us in any way. We ended up staying and first night was horrible. There was a wall heater that didn't work. It would get really hot in the room and there was no way to control the heat. Remote wasn't working we had to open the door in the middle of the night. Also they give you water refills bottles but for you to refill the water you need to drive to the main house on the grounds! Ridiculous! I could only imagine how it would be for elder adults. It's too much I would never bring our parents to this hotel. For my husband being Physician and myself being a Nurse we wanted a great weekend in Napa to finally unwind and celebrate our anniversary . We definitely weren't able to! The customer service at this hotel is horrible. It started with their late check-in at 4 pm and the room not being ready. If you are planning to go out to a nice dinner, this gives you little time to relax and get ready. For over $550/night, I would expect that when I arrive at 4 pm, my room should be ready. Instead, they told me my room is not ready, and they couldn't tell me when it would be. They gave me the excuse that a lot of people have checked out, and they are behind. This is unacceptable for a high-end hotel to have strict check-in policy but not be able to deliver rooms at the agreed upon times of check-in. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, nor would I ever stay here again. These rooms were definitely not worth the price per night. read more

My husband, toddler and I came for a weekend. He had work meetings and we got to explore. The grounds are beautiful and weather was perfect. The pools were heated and quite empty so we got to play for quite a while. The golf course looks beautiful and there are a ton of woodpeckers, humming birds and other nature for kids to explore. The resort is family oriented and relaxing. The rooms are nice size. The facility has pickle ball and tennis. Probably ideal for older kids since there is no toddler play structure, but guests and staff were very accommodating to my family and others in the ground. Great location in relation to downtown Napa. Highly recommend. read more

Booked two rooms for a weekend more than two months ago. I have been here several times and have always had a great experience. This time, I don't know if they are under new management or what the problem is, but this experience is horrible. Told them I wanted to be on the golf course next to The Grill when I made the reservations. "No problem" Then you get here, and they have you not even on the property, but I feel like I'm in a condo that Silverado rented. If I wanted to do this, I would've just booked an Airbnb and not paid twice the price to stay at Silverado resort. The manager at the front desk hides behind his remarks that the people that took the reservation are not very good. Not very good? That's my fault? My advice to anybody that is considering staying here is DON'T! Save your money and stay in an Airbnb. At least you know what you are getting and it's not a bait and switch.
