I chose Silverking Leisure after speaking to a few companies about bead blasting the blue tiles around my pool that were white after decades of calcium and hard water deposits. I went with Ryan and his crew primarily because Ryan promptly and knowledgeably answered my questions and also quoted the best price along with a reasonable explanation for why his price was good. He sent someone out who did a great job blasting the tiles clean (see before and after photos) followed by vacuuming up most of the beads from the bottom of the pool (it looks like fine sand/salt). About a week later, Ryan came out himself to finish vacuuming the rest of the beads that eventually settled at the bottom of the pool (we don't have a a creepy crawly) and balanced the chemicals too. He even bleached the white net on our Polaris to get the algea off and shocked the pool with chlorine all as part of the tile cleaning package, which I really appreciated Ryan certainly knows his stuff and it is obvious that he cares deeply about his business and his clients. He also sends out some really useful emails to his clients about pool related issues, including a reminder to buy chlorine early this year due to massive supply chain shortages nationally. He also does artificial turf and he's been helping us with that process as well. Ultimately, we will absolutely go with Silverking for all our pool/turf related needs because we know we'll be in good hands. read more

His crew fixed a mistake by the builder which was causing algae build up around my jacuzzi spill over. I called the builder who ghosted me. I also asked 2 other, local, pool maintenance companies to give me a solution. One said they didn't know why it was happening. The other didn't either, but they wanted to demo and such to figure it out...that was my biggest fear with this issue. When I called Ryan he requested pictures and instantly knew what was wrong. Professional, licensed contract work done properly in a timely manner. I called them needing pool maintenance and contracted licensed work to replace a 400,000 BTU pool heater. The job was done within a week and the work was done properly. The price on the replacement was competitive with quotes I had been given from unlicensed contractors. They also blew out my pool sweeper line for free, getting my pool sweeper line to work for the first time since purchasing the home 6 months ago. They did this tech service visit free of charge simply because I was going to have my heater replaced through them. Also, during the heater installation, SilverKing Leisure installed a new relay box for my automation system essentially free of charge by knocking other redundant, unnecessary items off the bill. That's honesty from a company as I might not ever have noticed. The state of California does not require a business license for pool maintenance, but for any sort of addition or work over $500.00 to a home a contracting license is required. Silverking Leisure has a D-35 contracting license. Many people are comfortable with unlicensed contract work done by a verbal, handshake agreement. I am not. Especially when it comes to large gas appliances. I first spoke with them on a Thursday and I had a new heater installed by Monday afternoon. We used this service for a year and had a late payment they just canceled our services. To restart service they wanted auto payment and more then $600 in supplies. Apparently their very high monthly payment does not Iinclude basic supplies nor basic systems cleaning. I hired Ryan to do my pool as his reviews were/are excellent . The first several months of service were great, however the last 2 months were terrible. The service  person Ryan assigned to my pool would show up and spend 5 minutes on servicing my pool. The 5 minutes was from when the gate was opened and he entered my yard, till it was closed when he left, so you do the math on the attention my pool was getting. I called Ryan and brought my concerns to his attention and he said he would make sure the issue was addressed for future cleanings,  but prefaced this with, they do so much preventative maintenance,  that sometimes the pool doesn't need certain things every week. I would doubt that 4 weeks of not being vacuumed can be substituted by any preventative maintenance. Also, if you never look at the pool strainer, how do you know if it needs to be cleaned or not? After another month of service, the cleanings never improved. As a matter of fact, as stated above, since I have been following the cleanings on my security cameras, the pool had not been vacuumed in 4 weeks. I messaged Ryan again about the issue and he said he forgot to talk to his employee and he would change the employee on my route. I just told him I thought it best to cancel service. Ryan's response to me canceling service was, " I will remove you from the route". Not, I'm sorry it didn't work out, or I'm sorry I ignored your concerns, or I'm sorry you were spending  $145 a month, but I wasn't providing you the services we agreed upon. read more

A few weeks ago we some issues where the spa was emptying into the pool when the system was not turned on. My husband replaced some valves, but in the process, cracked and broke the 'check valve' from the old pool plumbing. He attempted to cut out and replace a section, but his repair spraying water through the plumbing. This whole time, the pool is turning greener and greener. We asked our neighbor, he also worked on pools and he wouldn't even touch this problem. We called Ryan on a Sunday and sent a video of the issue. He got back to us that day and came out the next morning for an inspection. Ryan was extremely professional. He showed up on time put together a plan for the repair and even modified the existing plumbing to make it more efficient and have more control over our system. He spent extra time, above and beyond his quote, to make sure everything was perfect. And then, he even came back the next day to paint and label the repair to match the rest of the system. We have since used him to get the pool back to normal (get rid of the algae), including a filter service. One thing that I have noticed is that he goes the extra mile and does things correct the first - no cutting corners. Invoicing and payment are all handled online. Quick and easy.
