We had a real mess with the layout of our pool equipment. The last company elevated two of the pumps onto a metal table which, of course, had nearly rusted through. We reached out to ANC. They reworked our equipment, put it all on ground level and made sure we could move around it safely. They also installed an extra cut off valve that we didn't even know was missing. Both of the workmen were very pleasant, cleaned up everything and were done in a few hours. The cost was sooooooo reasonable, AND, they billed us! How cool is that! Service provided by Alex is really good especially when he is available. He fixed my pool water heater last November '23 and replaced my pool lights as well into LED. Price of service is very competitive. The only reason I gave him 4-Star is last month, I texted him to fix my pool H2O heater again and seems he is very busy. He just visited me to troubleshoot and remove the heater blower since it is rusted (i.e., not operational anymore and possibly obsolete) and no updates, text or call for 2-weeks after that. So, I told him not to work on this project since he doesn't have time and he can't find a heater blower to replace it. Well, I can find it myself online on the same day, so I contact another pool repair guy and he did it in a week. Overall experience working with Alex is just fine. Alex is a rude and nasty person, I contracted him through AHS set up and appointment between 11:00 -1, he did not message me to say he was on his way so some could be there he arrived, around 11:35 he text me he was there I texted back "my wife will be there in 10 min" and he replied "That is rude. He goes in our backyard dose his thing then leave without telling my wife his findings, I attempted to texted and called him several times but he did not pick up or reply, So I called AHS today 6-2-25 only to be told that my services was disapproved be because he stated that : my leak was due to calcium buildup prior to my service contract with AHS. That's not his call, he was pissed because he had to wait an extra 5 min to his incompetence job but yet he still received his $ 125 service charge for nothing. This is shady pool dude practices I would never use or even give them references to anyone. If I could give them less then 1 star I would !!! Update: Old pool heater was fixed, but since it took 2-3 hours to heat up the spa figured it was time for a new one. Alex helped me choose a new and efficient heater that heats up the spa to desired temperature in less than an hour. New unit is small and crisp, and came with a small rebate. We received feedback about our broken water heater that didn't make much sense to us. We were told there was a problem with the connection to the gas line and so we scheduled the gas company to come out and take a look. The rep said there was nothing wrong with the connection and to have someone else take a look. Meanwhile their feedback led our homeowners insurance to a as reject our claim so we got screwed. It's also really hard to get through to anyone - you have to leave a message and the tech may or may not call you back. I tried to follow up a few times and haven't heard back. read more

ANC pool services was dispatched by our home warranty company back in January, they made a minor repair that ended up failing 2 weeks later. I called the warranty company and they had ANC come back recently, and the technician said the heater has failed due to wear and tear, and that he would put in a request for replacement. Then behind my back he submits a report saying the pool heater is not working because the pH was over corrected 1 day prior. He says there's "no chlorine" in the pool but then says the pH is too low. Those are contradictory statements. regardless, if your home warranty is sending out ANC pool and spa then make sure to call the warranty and request another vendor. read more

Alex from ANC got back to me very quickly when I called because our pool pump died. We had a single speed pump and Alex suggested we go to a variable speed pump He told us that LADWP offers a $1000 rebate if you install a variable speed pump. Not only do you save money in operation costs but it's much quieter. They showed up at the time they had scheduled and completed the new installation in about an hour. Alex explained how the pump is programmed. I have to admit the programming for a variable speed pump is far more complex than a single speed but Alex did the programming and hopefully we won't need to change it. My pool pump was on its way out. I called my home warranty program and ANC was the company that responded. The Tech new immediately what was wrong with the pump. He removed the pump and installed a way better pump with a built in timer. I was told it would take 3-5 days to get my pump back. He explained how much home warranty would cover and subtracted the difference from the cost of the newer pump and gave me a figure that was a steal. Recently my salt pool chlorinator cell and its cable completely fried and melted on account of an electrical short. I called at least 4-5 pool/spa businesses in SCV and none of them really knew much about the Jandy system or tried to convince me to just bypass it and go old school with liquid and tabs. After having issues with old leaking equipment I had a conundrum, who do I choose to fix my equipment? Do I do it myself or do I hire someone? After doing hours of research on pool equipment online, regarding the cost, I considered the latter. After getting a quote from a neighbor's pool guy I decided to check Yelp to see who would be comparable, and who I would consider hiring. After requesting for quotes I received numerous messages from different companies. A majority of those companies did not want to give me a quote without seeing my setup. I was pleasantly surprised that Alex responded quickly and gave me an up front price of everything installed without even seeing my current equipment in person. He even recommended certain equipment which happened to be the same equipment what I was considering during my research. Alex was very knowledgeable and responded quickly to messages.
