Not feeling the best so I decided to get the basic chicken Ramen that is closely related to chicken noodle soup which I have had before and is great. When I came to pick up my order Gabriella provided excellent customer service and the food was ready in a timely manner.

The aesthetic? Artistic, cozy, and just nice. It's giving "I'm about to have a really good meal" vibes. Let's talk about the water real quick because YES it matters. You know how restaurant water sometimes tastes a little... suspicious? Not here. This water was crispy, clean, well-filtered perfection No weird aftertaste. Respect. The creamy broccolini??? So good that my boyfriend -- a known broccoli hater -- admitted it slapped. I don't know what sauce they put on it, but I need it by the cup immediately. Chicken karaage: FIRE. I'm usually picky about chicken because of texture, but this one? Crispy outside, tender and juicy inside, and once again... the sauce is doing the heavy lifting in the best way possible. Now the main event We both got the blaze ramen. The noodles have the PERFECT consistency. The broth is insanely flavorful and smooth. I got the medium spice, and it's actually medium (not "medium but secretly spicy enough to ruin your day"). Every topping works -- spinach, bean sprouts, all of it. And can we talk about the egg being INCLUDED? No upcharge nonsense here, thank you very much. The pork is so juicy it literally melts apart like it knows its purpose in life. Service? Top tier. Kendal G was doing the most -- running the floor when we first got there AND still giving immaculate service. He even put the hockey game on for me That's how you win loyal customers. Overall: great food, great vibes, great service. Silverlake Ramen understood the assignment. Will absolutely be back.

Service is friendly with touches of LA seen throughout the store. I had the spicy chicken bun and ordered a bowl of Blaze with medium spicy-ness. The bun itself mentioned it had ghost pepper, the flavor was okay, the nap was sweet and it lessened the heat from the chicken. The bowl of ramen itself was flavorful and at the medium heat level, did cause my nose to run a little but it wasn't too hot, the noodles were chewy. I had also tried the karaage, I wish it was crunchier and needed the sauce. Stars taken due to overall experience. The floors were wet when they opened, I was careful walking around but definitely slipped moving around. There was a strong smell of vinegar coming from the kitchen at one point that didn't go away until the food started to be ordered/coming out. If someone wanted ramen, I wouldn't mind going back but I wouldn't be the one asking to come.

The chashu here is absolutely elite. Perfectly soft, juicy, fatty with no stinky flavor. Tonkotsu broth is full of flavor as well. Idk how I feel about spinach in the ramen. Noodles are just OK Service was really slow. We sat down and weren't served until 40mins later. Busy night. Go Dodgers

Shoyu Combo (Ramen Appetizer) with Crispy Chicken Karaage

Passed by this place so many times, today was my forst time getting Silverlake Ramen. Ordered the combo with (4) Chicken Karaage. It's pretty good, took only 7-8 minutes from ordering to be prepared. The sitting area is nice, wasn't packed but had good seats and space compared to other ramen establishments. The only thing stopping this one from 5 stars is there are ramen houses that aren't chains in the area with better broth and slightly bigger portions, but this was a fair order. I'll be going back and trying one of the spicy bowls in the future.

Ramen is always great here. It has a great temperature when they serve it to you. No need to be afraid of burning your tongue. This location is small and you will feel panicky if you're claustrophobic, but if you're normal, then it won't bother you. We came on a rainy Saturday today and it took 45 mins to be seated. Overall, service is normal. Food is good. $45 for 2 ramen bowls.

    Tsukemen Takeout
    Emily L.

Ordered this spot for the first time via Doordash. No big complaints, flavors were decent. 4/5 Chicken Karaage - This was good. 1 star off because the regular size portion is not worth the price. I would pay at most $6-$7 for this portion... 4/5 Pork Tsukemen - This was my first time having tsukemen! I wish there was an option to add extra limes, but I'll be sure to try noting that in special instructions. The lime provided had no juice, so didn't feel like I got to properly enjoy this. Broth was decent, I enjoyed the slight bonito flavor. Was a sharable portion for 2.

    ROACH IN RAMEN

Ordered a Soyu Ramen and after pouring the broth in, we found a ROACH IN THE RAMEN!!! Called the store was told "we will be more vigilant"....so disgusting.

One of our regular Ramen spots. This visit I was craving something spicy so I went with the Blaze and an appetizer of chicken karaage to complete my combo. Always a bit of a wait here, but their late hours help'when you want to have a very late dinner. It does get crowded here.

We came on a weekday after the lunch rush and only half the restaurant was filled. We ordered our food and patiently waited. The table next to us who came later than us got their food. We continued to wait and 30 minutes after our order was placed the server let us know our order got "lost". I was initially frustrated because I left work 2 hours early to try and have a late lunch with my kids to celebrate my son's birthday. My son said it was fine and not to make a big deal. I didn't want to ruin his day so we placed our order again. The server more than tried to accommodate the situation offering an upgrade on the chicken and removing 1 ramen from our bill. We thought that was a nice gesture focusing on customer service. We ordered ramyun. Spicy tonkotsu with pork, regular tonkotsu with chicken, and the black garlic truffle ramen wth pork. Both kids liked their tonkotsu ramen. I enjoyed the black garlic truffle ramen but wished there was a stronger truffle flavor. But overall, the broth was well seasoned and the noodles were good. Even though they're was a mishap with the order, we would still go back because the food and service were good. Thanks to our server who went above and beyond to calm this frazzled mom down. I was tired and hungry and the food hit the spot and got me going again!

    Garlic Truffle
    Parker L.

Food - ordered the garlic truffle ramen which is an absolute flavor bomb. You're hit with a rich velvety texture balanced by the earthy depth of truffle oil and the warm kick of garlic. The noodles are thick which is how I like it, but I think even though the flavor was deep it was missing some final incorporation to bring the dish together. It almost felt a bit too flavorful to the point where the truffle was a bit overpowering. But was still a fantastic dish. Service - nothing exceptional, fairly typical service Ambiance - kind of has the inside feeling like a taco place / street food aesthetic

2nd visit. Shout out to Kendyll for the fire playlist!!!!!! Had a great visit....with great service as per usual.

This ramen was amazing. The tonkatsu broth was rich and smooth. The truffle oil broth was deep in flavor. The edamame was delicious, plain, soft and heavily salted. The chicken was also good, could use a slightly more breading. We did order a shrimp tempura roll that was forgot about but a served called out sick & the other server that was there was working super hard. Honestly good we did not get it because we were stuffed. Would 100% go back / recommend.

It's a small place with a handful of seating, very clean with a wonderful ramen house ambiance. I'm sure the atmosphere is different when it's packed, but it was nice and quiet when we got there which made for good conversation and a great experience. I decided on the Shasho Ramen, and my son chose the Katsu Don plate. There's a 1-20 scale for the spice level, I chose 20 as I'm dead inside. Spice is subjective, so don't blame me if your experience is different, but I didn't find it all that particularly spicy - what I did find though was some wonderfully flavored broth with a perfect blend of spice and notes from the vegetables and other spices. The noodles were cooked proper, and everything was warm and fresh! My son said his katsu was perfectly cooked as well, nice and crunchy and not overly fried. The service was on point, they were on top of things and we were never left wanting. Honestly I'm really happy to have finally made the time to stop in; I will certainly be returning, and I hope to see you there! :)

It took some time to get our orders out but was not a dealbreaker. Food is exceptional quality. The spicy green curry ramen is so delicious. Tastes like you're actually eating curry in ramen form! Went inside and was immediately seated. They have a lunch special where you get either a free drink or miso soup with your meal. I ended up ordering the black garlic tonkatsu ramen and added an egg, with a miso soup. The miso soup came fairly quickly, but was pretty salty - think I had to drink about half my water glass after it. The ramen came a little bit afterwards - the broth was ok, it didn't feel rich enough with pork flavor and also was a little salty. The noodles were just ok also. I think the best part was the egg and chashu. The egg was well made and tasty, while the chashu is a bit more on the meaty side vs fatty side (which I prefer). They do only give you two pieces though. The price overall wasn't bad for ramen but I think the saltiness was a bit too much for my taste. They do have other things like curry that look pretty good, perhaps that would be the order if I end up here again.

It's a pretty small shop but very cozy, and there's also some seating outside. It looked like there were a lot of parties waiting as we left so we definitely came at a good time. We both got the chashu miso spicy tsukemen. I never usually finish ramen because it gets monotonous, but I slurped up every single noodle in this dish. The noodles were perfectly chewy and amazing when dipped into the rich, savory broth. I liked that there were the seaweed, garlic, and chili powder toppings at our table so we could customize the taste of our broth. After we graduated, we promised to have a little reunion here as adults when we were old enough to drink. This little reunion happened recently. My little sister, who is 17, knew I was meeting my friends for dinner and asked if she could come. Since I knew we would be drinking, I called the restaurant ahead of time to ask if she could sit with us since she wouldn't be drinking. They said no. If we were drinking, she couldn't be there. I thought it was unfortunate, but I told my sister she couldn't come to dinner with us. But what was really annoying is that after we ordered alcohol, our server didn't card us. I went out of my way to uninvite my sister because they said she couldn't be there, and they didn't even check. I thought it was a dumb rule in the first place, but it was really annoying that they didn't even enforce it after I went out of my way to ask. The pork belly skewers were really good. I can see why we used to come all the time as kids. Smoky and crispy. There's a big super traditional looking grill at the front of the restaurant, so I guess they're super serious about their skewers. The okonomiyaki was good too. We decided to try the rose tteokbokki since it was a new menu item, but we were unimpressed. There were barely any toppings inside. We also got the steamed squid, but I thought it was a bit overcooked. We might've stayed a little longer, but the sight of a cockroach climbing on our table sent a chill down our spines. We told a server that we saw a cockroach, but she just stared at us blankly and walked away without doing anything. After that, we had serious issues about the perceived cleanliness of the restaurant and left immediately.  I'm disappointed. In the end, I didn't get the warm and fuzzy nostalgic feeling I was yearning for. I think there were several interactions with the workers that they could have handled better. I cleared my little side quest, so I don't think I have a reason to ever return.
