My favorite ramen / sushi spot to go to. Every one is always so welcoming and nice each time we visit. This place's ramen is my favorite, very flavorful. I usually have them make it spicy and it has a nice little kick to it. There is a wide selection of sushi rolls to pick from and love that they have specials on them. No matter what we order , we always enjoy our food. Forgot to take a picture of my ramen last time we went .

The food is always good and service was fast. Consistency is the key and they are always good with it. Lunch specials are very reasonable with good choices.

They have 50% off some rolls on the menu, which is a good deal. However, I felt like most of the rolls on that menu had the same or similar ingredients, so there was little variety. The rolls were fat, but didn't have much flavor and the fish was bland. The service was just okay.

If you're looking for a Japanese restaurant with various options, try this place. They a menu for rolls that is always 50% off. They have good selection of appetizers. Servers are great and attentive. The restaurant is pretty small but we got seated right away at all times when we visit.

Sam roll, baked baby scallop roll, and salmon skin roll

Came in around 7pm on Saturday. No wait and it was pretty crowded. We ordered the tampopo ramen, salmon skin roll, scallop roll, and Sam roll. 4/5 Sam roll was our favorite since it was the only half off roll without spicy tuna and imitation crab filling. 3/5 The salmon skin one wasn't crispy and it was a bit tough to eat 3/5 Baked Scallop roll was your least favorite. They had a way too much sauce on top of it. If I had known, I would've asked for less. The baby scallops themselves were actually pretty good though. But we actually ended up leaving three pieces of the California rolls because it was just meh 3/5 the tampopo Ramen wasn't anything amazing. Definitely wouldn't come here for Ramen again. But given that it was $13 for the Ramen, it's actually not that back compared to the other places in Cerritos at $18 which specializes in Ramen. The food came out quite quickly, but the waiters never asked once how everything was because I probably would've returned the baked scallop roll. This your standard Japanese sushi spot if you want to hit the cravings. But nothing worth checking out if you're traveling or visiting.

Amazing experience! I accidentally ordered a non-vegan ramen, and TJ handled it with so much kindness and patience. He checked in throughout the whole meal, and the service felt genuinely thoughtful. The veggie ramen and sushi were really good, and the entire staff was friendly and attentive. I'll be back for sure -- shoutout to TJ and the whole crew!

My parents and I love Tampopo and their lovely and affordable lunch menu. The portions are huge. The food is delicious. The service is always friendly. The ambiance is a little stale inside but nothing uncomfortable. Never had a problem finding parking.

Once upon a time, another Yelp-worthy find! We stopped here for some delicious ramen and sushi rolls. We had the chicken ramen, spicy ramen, and a crunch roll. The ramen was hardy and delicious - they do not skimp on the noodles. The sushi roll was great! The end.

The food was AWESOME (Thanks Chef) filling, delicious, cooked with love . The ambiance was awesome we were the 1st to arrive so we felt as if we'd gotten extra great customer service from Johnathan "Johnny" & Jacob they were awesome, patient and knowledgeable. The cook was great!!! Today, I went to the Cerritos location Gardena is great as well...

    Gyoza.

I went there to dine in and the lunch specials were really good. A lot of rolls were 50% off and they a combo meal options as well. So I ordered Tampopo Ramen set with Gyoza and the Fire Salmon Roll. The ramen was excellent the broth was flavorful, the noodles were perfect, the sprouts were a nice touch, and the meat was cooked properly. The roll was also good with the salmon being good but not overwhelmingly spicy. This place is solid for lunch and I would come again.

Located in a busy strip mall, this gem of a Japanese restaurant is worth the trip. They always make you feel welcome, and have a great selection of sushi rolls, ramen, bento, sashimi, and udon. Plenty of side dish options such as tempura, edamame, California roll, and sushi. You can choose from multiple entrees such as salmon, mackerel, chicken teriyaki, and my favorite the sesame chicken.

First time I came was 6 years ago! (Pic with me in glasses) Wow! The same cute guy brought me back on a date a few months ago. And today, was super cold so I craved ramen again and he brought me back here. Awwww! I like this place! Keep forgetting to get sushi though but it's our new thing to get the lunch special with dumplings + a soft boiled egg + a Japanese beer ("Sapporo")...everything was delicious! Great service! Wasn't crowded but my date said it gets crowded usually. In the middle of eating, people started pouring in. lol! That's when you know the food is good! Will be back again! Next time, I'll try the sushi again! Hope y'all had a good Christmas!

The store is small and cozy, so not great for parties larger than 4, though I'd really just suggest 2. Great for lunch or a low key dinner, it is one of my go-to for ramen spots. I really love their white miso tsukemen, the thick noodles are slightly chilled and served with a wedge of lime which is a nice way to lighten the very rich broth. I've had their red miso before but its deeper flavor is a bit too powerful for my taste, so for those who like something with more umph, that's a great choice as well.

But I had heard so many great things about HiroNori that I wanted to try it anyways. My brother especially kept hyping them up, and he LOVES ramen. And I'm glad I decided to try them out! While HiroNori is a SoCal chain, it still feels like a mom and pop restaurant. The crispy rice with tuna was EXCELLENT! Everything you want from crispy rice and spicy tuna. The tonkatsu was delicious! Great depth of flavor. They bring you garlic and spicy paste on the side. I had to add A LOT of spicy paste to get it up to the level I wanted, but while at other restaurants I've lost the broth flavor when adding too much spice, the spicy paste just enhanced the tonkatsu broth. And the pork in the tonkatsu - truly next level. This is probably the best pork I've ever had in a ramen dish. The noodles were also fantastic with the perfect amount of bite. I loved my jammy egg as well. The restaurant itself is smaller, with fun lighting. There is a parking lot which is great. They do not have tipping, instead they have a service charge of a little over 17%. Definitely worth it!

They also provide watermelon infused water, which was perfect for a warm day out. Although this restaurant is quite small, service was fast and very accommodating. I have been here several times and service plus quality of the food never changes! Seats here don't have any back support but it adds to the modern aesthetic and vibe of the restaurant. I've been eyeing the cucumber crab salad, so I look forward to coming back and trying it next time.

It's a small place with a handful of seating, very clean with a wonderful ramen house ambiance. I'm sure the atmosphere is different when it's packed, but it was nice and quiet when we got there which made for good conversation and a great experience. I decided on the Shasho Ramen, and my son chose the Katsu Don plate. There's a 1-20 scale for the spice level, I chose 20 as I'm dead inside. Spice is subjective, so don't blame me if your experience is different, but I didn't find it all that particularly spicy - what I did find though was some wonderfully flavored broth with a perfect blend of spice and notes from the vegetables and other spices. The noodles were cooked proper, and everything was warm and fresh! My son said his katsu was perfectly cooked as well, nice and crunchy and not overly fried. The service was on point, they were on top of things and we were never left wanting.
