    Korean Kimchi Hot Pot
    April S.

The taste of the food was quite basic. The side of rice was hard. The meat didn't have much flavor which is quite surprising being that this is a kimchi hot pot. The overall dish wasn't fulfilling. Although I would not come back for the food, I do give my review as a 3 because the service was friendly.

Not bad, not great. Caveat: vegetarian review. Creamy vegetarian ramen: broth is ok. Light and not really flavored, but edible, you know? Just not super really enjoyable. It's the only option- the hot pot is all mean based broth. Parking is easy, seats are pleasant (lots of booths), and service was good.

Came here with my sister for dinner. Parking can be a little tough -- the lot is small with skinny spots, but if you're patient a spot will eventually open up. I ordered the Thai hot pot while my sister got the tonkatsu ramen. The hot pot broth could've been stronger in flavor, but it was still really filling and loaded with plenty of items like pork, shrimp, fish balls, crab, and more. My sister enjoyed her ramen. The restaurant itself is casual and cozy, with a relaxed vibe that makes it an easy spot for a weeknight dinner. Service was nice and attentive, which added to the overall experience.

The food here is good. Especially for the price. We had a group of about 14 and I wouldn't recommend it for large parties like that. The dining area is more like a fast food place than a restaurant but they are able to put tables together to accommodate if necessary. They are attentive with taking orders and refining your drinks. And the wait for your food isn't long even when busy. Overall if you don't mind the smaller dining area with a fast food vibe (like booth and small table) then this is an excellent spot. For 6 of us was just over $100 which with today's prices isn't bad at all!

Red flame is good when I'm craving an individual serving of hot pot. There are other dishes on the menu as well, if you're not up for soup. Service was okay. They should probably look in to using something other than paper cups for water, because it was getting soggy towards the end of our meal. Clean restaurant, fair prices, the parking is limited as it's located in a small plaza.

Tried the house special hot pot and it really hit the spot. The broth was flavorful, rich, and perfect for the chilly weather. Loved how there was a variety of veggies, meat, and fish balls. Portion was generous as well. Service was quick and efficient.

Great alternative to Boiling Point and much more affordable too. $15.99 vs. $25 per soup. You can also order additional sides like sliced beef for $5 and the side is bigger than Boiling Point's side. There are plenty of seats. The only catch is that the parking gets packed fast and they don't have a fancy numbering system but the service is fast and again, plenty of seats. The restaurant is very modern and clean. So far, I had the House style and the Thai style soups. I had spice level 4 and I was able to manage it. Lots of broth refills and water refills without having to ask. I wouldn't say they are better than Boiling Point because their flavors are definitely different. However, they are a mor affordable alternative that won't disappoint.

Stopped by for lunch on a weekend. There is a parking lot but it is pretty small and crowded so some cars double parked. We ended up parking on the street. Inside there were many 4-person booths along the walls and in the center were 8-person booths that could be reconfigured for parties of 4. We liked that you have a choice of different Asian dishes to try. We got curry hot pot, prime rib shabu shabu, and a Lomo soltado garlic noodles. There was also sizzling steak, rice dishes, and pho too. The hot pot bowls were all pre configured so you just pick your heat level and it comes to you ready to eat on a mini heat stand. The curry was light and pared well with rice. The shabu shabu is the same as hot pot except you cook yourself! You select the soup, the noodle, and the protein. The prime rib was tasty though not sure how "prime" it was though as the fat didn't seem that well marbled. I also wanted to try Lomo soltado, which was available in garlic noodles form. It was tasty but could have used more French fries. Service was great. They brought extra sauces and topped up our waters and other table condiments.

    This guy was rude.

I had a very disappointing experience during my visit. When I brought up that there was a hair in my food, the employee I spoke with was rude and placed the blame on me rather than addressing the issue professionally. He refused to provide his name and also did not want the owner to be informed, which was concerning. I hope the owner can review the security footage from 12/13/25 between 9:00-9:42 PM, which will show that the hot pot was still boiling and that I had not started eating until about 10 minutes after it was served. All of the food was still in the pot when I noticed the hair. For food safety and hygiene, I strongly recommend that kitchen staff wear hairnets while preparing food. This situation could have been handled much better with professionalism and accountability.

Newly revamped menu with shabu shabu, ramen, and lomo soltado fries in addition to hotpot. Known for their stone hot plate with high grade steak filet, great with either noodles or fries. Spaghetti is good with either meat sauce or chicken katsu.

A great alternative to boiling point! Typically the wait isn't as long. Plus they have other food options aside from the hot pot, such as the steaks on sizzling plates.

What type of stock (composition) is used for the hot pots?

Can you substitute items on the hot pot?

There are many options to choose from, so we never tried too substitute anything because we can always choose the option we wanted, or take out an ingredient that my wife is allergic to.

Since they serve big portions, is it ok to share an order, or need to have 1 order per person?

Depends on your cravings but if you order the steak or hotpot options those are filling enough to potentially share. If you get just the noodles that's more individual portions that should be for only 1 person. Just my opinion and my family's… Read more

Can you order hotpot for one person for dine in?

    Yes !

Do they not answer the phone for reservation????? I tried calling a few times and no answer. :( disappointing.

You have to reserve on Yelp - if it's unavailable, they've stopped taking reservations.

Will you accept a reservation of 10-12 people?

I think so but I would just call to make sure

    Is social distancing enforced?

No. They pack everyone all at once in the building like sardines.

Are they closed permanently? I've noticed that they have not been open since roughly July 2020.

No they are open for dine ins. During covid they had take out only.

Is the restaurant offering take out during pandemic?

    It's open just for takeout

Do they offer a veggie broth or chicken broth option?

Not sure but you can request it.

Do they have a Sunday happy hour?

No they don't have a happy hour

It took some time to get our orders out but was not a dealbreaker. Food is exceptional quality. The spicy green curry ramen is so delicious. Tastes like you're actually eating curry in ramen form! Went inside and was immediately seated. They have a lunch special where you get either a free drink or miso soup with your meal. I ended up ordering the black garlic tonkatsu ramen and added an egg, with a miso soup. The miso soup came fairly quickly, but was pretty salty - think I had to drink about half my water glass after it. The ramen came a little bit afterwards - the broth was ok, it didn't feel rich enough with pork flavor and also was a little salty. The noodles were just ok also. I think the best part was the egg and chashu. The egg was well made and tasty, while the chashu is a bit more on the meaty side vs fatty side (which I prefer). They do only give you two pieces though. The price overall wasn't bad for ramen but I think the saltiness was a bit too much for my taste. They do have other things like curry that look pretty good, perhaps that would be the order if I end up here again.

I came in on Saturday with my daughter to enjoy an early dinner. It was around 5pm, and not too many people were dining at that time. I dined in as part of the Yelp Elite Experience (YEE). They greeted me kindly, took my name down and sat us down at one of the small tables against the wall. The YEE include a ramen of my choice and a two-piece appetizer of crispy rice and spicy tuna. I opted for the tonkatsu ramen and ordered an additional one for my daughter even though I knew she wouldn't even finish half. Leftovers for me to enjoy later I also ordered a cranberry juice for her and the rooibos iced tea for myself. I very much enjoyed the iced tea and appreciated the menu recommending it as a perfect companion to ramen. Although it's unsweetened, it had a refreshingly natural sweetness to it. To my ramen, I added black garlic oil and chili paste. The broth was very delicious, flavorful and rich. I'm not a huge pork eater anymore, which I need to remind myself of. I did really enjoy my ramen, however, next time I'll have to try another protein, extra egg instead of pork or give the vegan ramen a try, for my own good. Thank you to our server Mel for being very sweet and patient with my daughter and me. She also explained the service fee very well. Heads up that there is an automatic 17.68% service charge added for dine-in orders. I believe I did see it mentioned on the menu, but the man who sat us (possibly a shift manager?) also pointed it out somewhat quickly. However, there was some confusion upon paying because I had explained to Melanie that I wanted to tip on what the total would have been without the promotion; that's just how I've been taught to tip regardless of there being a free or discounted item on the check. So I was adding it up on my phone to see what "I owed" for service. I confirmed that everything looked good on the receipt and she ran my card without the option of me being able to add an additional tip. Something about how most people won't pay more on top of the included service charge, which I get completely, but I felt bad because I got free items and wanted to leave a more comprehensive tip. I'll have to go back soon and try that vegan ramen and more of that tea

While HiroNori is a SoCal chain, it still feels like a mom and pop restaurant. The crispy rice with tuna was EXCELLENT! Everything you want from crispy rice and spicy tuna. The tonkatsu was delicious! Great depth of flavor. They bring you garlic and spicy paste on the side. I had to add A LOT of spicy paste to get it up to the level I wanted, but while at other restaurants I've lost the broth flavor when adding too much spice, the spicy paste just enhanced the tonkatsu broth. And the pork in the tonkatsu - truly next level. This is probably the best pork I've ever had in a ramen dish. The noodles were also fantastic with the perfect amount of bite. I loved my jammy egg as well. The restaurant itself is smaller, with fun lighting. There is a parking lot which is great. They do not have tipping, instead they have a service charge of a little over 17%. Definitely worth it!

They ran out of the lobster tail and the ribs bowls, which is fine on Valentine's Day. However, they also ran out of basic ingredients. Where are the 2 egg slices, and where are the other fresh garnishes (mushroom or bean sprouts). One of the saddest looking and basic ramen bowls that I've ever experienced, one level above instant ramen (just the pork and excess noodles). Speaking of pork slices, they need to be less firm and softer. They also ran out of wooden spoons. How? We ate with take-out chopsticks with no available plastic spoons. Who is running this branch? 2. Service was standard. 3. Ambiance has nicely decorated theme. However, restaurant and seating area is small and crosse crossed and lacks privacy.
