Super excited to find a cheap Chinese spot, similar to Tigawok, but it appears they have cooks instead of the robowoks. Makes it taste even better! Both times I came, the same gentleman was busy at the cashier and portioning the food. It wasn't slow the first time so he let us sample everything and it tasted sooo good! The hunan dishes are spicy, but there was a portion of the pork and potato left, and upon trying that, I definitely wanted it. He asked the kitchen to make it fresh for me! Incredible!! The rice is sticky and warm, and the orange peel chicken tasted exceptional as well. It's actually fairly busy inside, especially for just 1 person, but his customer service never faltered. I came again because the pork and potato dish was soooo delicious and this time, I came right when they opened so they didn't have it, but they still made some for me. I really like the green bean and eggplant dish as well, but it was just a little too oily for me. Honestly though, the food is amazing. For 13 dollars, I had some leftovers to take home since I have a small appetite but great food all around. It's brand new inside and even the bathroom is sparkling clean. I wanted something good to eat without a wait. They remind me of Tigawok with how they present the food in individual bowls as well as some of their dishes. I got the combo which is an entree, rice, vegetables and a drink. The orange chicken was okay; a little on the sticky side which I thought was kind of weird. The eggplant/green beans dish was good and I would get again. (How would you mess that up?). The pricing was fair. They offer upgrades if you want noodles instead of rice and if you want a boba drink instead of a fountain drink for $2 an upgrade. AI is taking over Cerritos! With 2 automated AI machines which cook & self-clean, Urban Feast occupies the old Vegi Wokery location. When I saw they were having their Soft Opening, I knew I had to check them out. A bright modern interior is inviting for guests to come visit this fast casual eatery. The food created by the AI machines is not as greasy as a typical Chinese restaurant. I found the orange peel chicken to be crunchy & satisfying. The Hunan spicy beef had tender cuts of beef with a substaintial amount of heat. The sweet tomato & scrambled eggs provided good flavor, with eggs that aren't overcooked. For dessert, the boba milk tea quenches the thirst on a hot day. Made w/o powders or syrup, Urban Feast sells only quality boba milk tea. Service has been great. Food is kept warm in chafing trays, or can be made to order. The cute to-go containers are reusable, and I find them handy for more than just storing food. Parking is at Plaza 183, with Urban Fest located on the right of Original Thai BBQ, north of Kusina Filipina. Urban Feast is a wonderful new food option in Cerritos. Less greasy Chinese food, made by AI machines, competitively priced, with no tipping, are what greet guests who come visit. New fast casual modern Chinese spot recently opened in Cerritos. They have a good variety of options including both more Americanized Chinese food and some more traditional dishes. I really appreciated that they had Garlic Eggplant and Green Beans, Sweet Tomato and Scrambled Eggs, and Mapo Tofu dishes. They were all really tasty! The Mapo Tofu had some mala spice, but it wasn't too spicy. I also wanted to try the Orange Chicken, and this was pretty good as well! We also ordered a side of Egg Fried Rice, which was pretty standard but goes great with all of the flavorful dishes. You order and pay at the counter. When your food is ready, you pick up your tray from the counter and find a seat. Utensils, sauces, and fountain drinks are self-serve. The portion sizes are not bad, but it's a little deceiving because they put a smaller bowl into the larger logo bowl for the entrees. They pretty much fill up a large bowl for the rice and noodles. Once you're finished seating, you bus your own tables. Place your tray in the tray shelf and toss your trash. Make sure you don't accidentally throw away the bowls! read more

Saw this spot after picking up dinner at Thai Original Bbq. They currently have a soft opening. We decided to try their drinks. Limited drink menu, but surprisingly they were really good! As I was telling my order to the cashier, a lady (maybe the restaurant owner) was standing next to the cashier, heard the order & immediately went to the kitchen and started making the drinks. Service was quick. Drinks were freshly made. That passion fruit jasmine green tea was reaalllyy good! There was even passion fruit seeds inside the drink. Very refreshing. No one else was dining inside. Tables were clean. Some tables had flowers on them. It looks like it's a fast food Chinese restaurant. We will have to try their food next time. read more

Omg!! So easy and delicious! I sometimes need a quick lunch but don't want fast food. This is it! I love Chinese food and this is the same quality as a nice Chinese place. Got spicy pork and it was super good with that tongue tingling spiciness. Yum! We ordered the following: Beef and broccoli Mapu tofu Soup dumpling Orange chicken Eggplant w green beans Fried rice Egg and tomato Chow mein Everything was a winner except for the orange chicken, which was too hard on the outside and didn't have enough sauce, and the soup dumplings, which were very firm and chewy. Neither were really bad though, totally edible, and everything else was delicious. I especially loved the tofu. The beef and broccoli had really good quality beef, very tender. I was pleasantly surprised to stumble across Urban Feast during their soft opening. This is a modern, healthy take on prepared, Chinese "fast food". The store was clean, bright, and welcoming. The chef seemed passionate about the food as he was talking to another customer. The staff person who helped me was friendly, warm, and customer service oriented. We wanted to wait for a fresh batch of the eggplant dish which was empty, and he kept is informed during our wait. Super fresh food, authentic, well seasoned, not too salty or oily. Great options. About 4 vegan dishes, additional vegetarian option if you count the fried rice (has eggs). Love the premise of the restaurant: convenient, healthy dishes, small portions that are adequate and very fairly priced, allowing you to try many different dishes. Also, prevents waste. Leftover food doesn't usually taste as good; but they have cute blue to go containers if you need. They also offer free house made pickled radish - super refreshing, crunchy, and a perfect balance of savory, sweet, sour, and heat! I also ordered a passion fruit iced tea. The service was great and they were helpful with explaining everything and even provided samples. Their food isn't super oily or salty or greasy which is nice. We ended up buying 2 à la cart entrees and 3 boba drinks for around $25. What's good Is that one entree could be made into 2 meals if you have some rice or bread at home. I also like their motto of offering value costs for the food. Their combos at around $11-12 also come with a decent amount of food. It's comparable (maybe a little cheaper) to fast food but you'll be getting something home made, fresh and tasty. read more

Food is amazing! Fresh and seasoned so good. My favorite part, their vegetarian options are unmatched compared to other Chinese spots. Beef broccoli , orange chicken, fried rice, noodles, dumplings, spicy beef , the fam love it allll. My go to was Spicy tofu, green beans and eggplant, egg and tomatoes! Picked up from this place 3 times now and every time it's been fresh and delicious. It's like 10 steps up from your typical fast food spots. Has a nice homemade feel, like something my mom would make and pack for me to take home. Everything I've tried has been really good, and I've pretty much gone through most of the dishes. They're currently doing their soft opening now. Parking is easy in this plaza but the lines are a little faded. We spent about $40ish for three people so it is affordable in this economy. The food was good too, but man there should be a VERY SPICY warning on the hunan beef dish cause it had me sweating! Not a fan of the plastic packaging because it feels very wasteful. If you dine in, there's actually bowls so next time we will try doing dine in. We got chow mein, fried rice, orange chicken, eggplant with string beans, broccoli, hunan beef. Other dishes I was interested in were tomato and egg, mapo tofu, and Kung pao chicken. Hopefully when they're past their soft opening they will have more dishes. Stopped by early evening on a Saturday with my family and it wasn't packed at all. We were intrigued by the soft opening deal! Parking in the plaza it's located at could get tricky on a busy day/weekend, but we got lucky. The service was chinese takeout style, but they handed you the food you ordered in plastic bowls if you choose to dine-in, which is what we did. We ordered the Orange Chicken combo (came with steamed rice, garlic broccoli, and a fountain drink for $12.99), alongside Chow Mein, Scrambled Eggs & Tomato, Egg Fried Rice, and Steamed Pork Dumplings. In total, we paid around $48 with tip-- because of the soft opening we also got 3 milk teas for $0.99 and only paid $1.50 to add boba to all drinks. A thai tea with boba was only $3.99, which is something I don't see often anymore. A ridiculously great price!! Everything was delicious too :) I would also like to note that the combo portions are ideal for 1-2 people and we were a party of 4, but since we weren't extremely hungry everything was perfectly balanced. Other details I'd like to point out: Plenty of seating, simple/aesthetic decor, everything was clean, very friendly and patient workers!! The gentleman on the other side of the counter was very helpful, welcoming, and even offered samples if we wished. They have a few different combos for a fantastic price (roughly $11 for rice, fresh cooked vegetables, meat, and drink). One thing I immediately noticed is the food is nicely proportioned, most places over serve and I truly feel like they give appropriate size proportions. The prices are super affordable. They do offer chow mein substitute for an up charge of $2. The food itself is a 100/10. It doesn't taste greasy like most Chinese food. This tastes fresh. It tastes clean. It didn't leave me feeling bloated like overly salty Chinese. Chow mein: light, fresh, I couldn't stop eating it yet wanted to save it because I knew I would crave more later. Vegetables: fresh, not overly done, not dripping in grease so you could actually taste the veggies like they were just freshly picked. My 10 year old ate all of them first and wanted more. Orange chicken: crunchy, light, not overly acidic, not spicy, the perfect amount of sauce and perfect flavor. White rice: made well, not overly done or under done. Beef and broccoli: delicious tender beef, fresh broccoli, my 10 year old loved it. Brown sugar milk tea + boba: perfect consistency boba, milk tea made very well and really hit the spot! Vegetables rolls: crunchy, light, vegetables tasted fresh in the middle. I could honestly eat them all day! All in all I highly recommend this place. This is a newly opened Chinese restaurant. There are about a dozen home style cooked dishes. This unique place use robot cooking so the dishes are always consistent in quality. Unlike other Chinese food, their dishes are not oily or salty. The black sugar Boba is a must try. I was surprised by the price that I haven't seen since 2015.
