Very unexpected place to find a Silverlake Ramen as I would think Brea or Fullerton may be a better location option but here I was, stopping by to satisfy yet another ramen craving. The restaurant itself is VERY small, with about 4 small tables indoor max. There's outdoor seating available but it is not shaded, so it isn't the best option if you're eating a hot bowl of ramen on a warm summer day. The layout of the restaurant is very strange, because the seating area is literally smacked within the restroom and the kitchen - so you're either seated right by the bathroom or beside the kitchen area. Parking is located in the rear. Service was very good. I was greeted right away, with the order taken and my food served promptly. It was busy for a Wednesday night but the two staff handled everything well. My ramen was a 6/10. I actually did not like the Pork Belly as it tasted very gamey. The ramen lacked flavor and I know it wasn't just me because the customers next to my table had to asked for soy sauce. Overall, I enjoyed my dinner at Silverlake Ramen, but there wasn't anything spectacular about my visit that would warrant me going back. read more

I came into this location tonight at around 8pm and sat down while I waited for my cousin to arrive. I was looking at the menu when all of a sudden I seen a small bug WALKING across the menu. Whatever, I killed it and tried to ignore it. then I noticed 3 more on the table. I texted my cousin because I was starting to get grossed out & killed those 3 bugs. YOU WOULDNT BELIEVE the look on my face when i see about 5 more bugs including a HUGE one walking all over the menu and table. It was literally like they were spawning out of no where. My cousin wasn't there yet and I was do grossed out that I just left. I am not even sure what kind of bugs these are, but clearly there is some sort of infestation and if this is what is on the tables I can only IMAGINE what is in the back. Naturally my wife tried calling in my order and was told to place the order via DoorDash. I'm pretty sure the establishment is well aware that DoorDash charges more to place orders. Where to go on a lazy Monday afternoon??? I didn't want burgers or pizza and the hubs suggested "The new Ramen" place!! Whoa, when I found out Silverlake Ramen was now in La Habra, I was surprised it was at the old GBurger spot. Hopefully this location works out for them. It's a bit away from foot traffic or local shops that usually would attract customers. The location is small and the parking lot is for about 10 cars, and a patio with outdoor seating for the puppers! The ramen is delicious, so far my favorite has been Blaze (I am not sure on the name) it come in a creamy broth and ordered spicy!! I didn't add any extras but there are options. The bowl looks small but it fills a person up quickly! I also tried the three different mushrooms cooked in butter. I ended up tossing the leftovers in my "To-Go"soup container. The second time I went, they started doing sushi rolls, so I ordered a Spicy Tuna roll. It was good but I'll stick to the Ramen Noodles ! Absolutely loved this place! The food was awesome, and the workers were so kind and welcoming. The ambiance was peaceful and relaxing with a modern, warm vibe that made it feel really cozy. They also have a beautiful outdoor seating area with plenty of space--I didn't get a chance to sit out there this time, but I definitely will next time we come back (and we are definitely coming back!). We've visited Silver Ramen multiple times, and the food is consistently good. Unfortunately, the service continues to be inconsistent. On this visit, our server appeared to be new and asked if we wanted appetizers. We said yes. The appetizers did not come out before the meal and were delivered at the same time as our ramen, which defeats the purpose of ordering appetizers. I politely raised this with one of the managers. Instead of acknowledging the concern, he dismissed it and said they cook everything at the same time. I calmly explained that appetizers are intended to come out before the main course. His response was a shrug and a smile. Later, when we were ready to pay, we asked our server to take our credit card. As she was walking by, she told us she still had a few minutes left on her break and then walked out of the building to assist someone else. I'm not sure who that person was, but the response was surprising. A more appropriate approach would have been to say, "Let me get someone to help you right away," rather than explaining why she couldn't assist. I smiled, stayed polite, and let the tip reflect the overall experience. Used to be G burger now it's a ramen shop. I originally wanted ramen but when I saw curry I opted for a large chicken karaage and I wasn't disappointed. The curry was rich and flavorful with bits of mushrooms and tsukemono. My mom ordered the classic tonkatsu with chicken ramen. It's the first time she's liked a tonkatsu ramen from any spot. So good job there Silverlake Ramen. We had a window seat and man was the sun blaring me in the eyes, but I'm glad the server rolled the shade down for my comfort.
