I absolutely love this restaurant. My wife and I frequent here pretty often. Not once... NOT A SINGLE TIME have we ever left there dissatisfied. Each time, our expectations are exceeded. They are super consistent with the quality of food they serve. And, more than anything, I've interacted on different occasions with a several workers and they are ALL the most courteous and helpful people there. They smile and are very amicable, professional, and go above and beyond. This afternoon I went there, and forgot my sunglasses after picking up my order. One of the workers was halfway leaving to follow me and give them back. The food slaps so hard, the vibes are nice, the restaurant and bathrooms are always clean. My favorite poke spot, hands down. Got the poke bowls to-go. I ordered salmon, scallop, and octopus over white rice. They offer a lot of topping and sauce options, which was nice. In my opinion, the quality was about a 5/10 compared to other poke places I've tried. The fish was average -- it didn't have that freshness or "wow" factor that really stands out. The cuts were also pretty large. Some people might prefer that, but for me it felt like too much in one bite, especially the octopus. I would've liked it sliced thinner and more flavorful overall. The service was great, and the inside was small but cute. That said, I was also the only customer there during Friday lunch hour. Holy cow. I walked in not having been there since it first opened. I wasn't expecting much but WOW! I ordered a small and not sure what the other sizes look like but WOW this is a great small. Service was great. There was someone helping me by the time I walked to the first serving area. There was no one inside but it was a good sized sitting area. Would be great for a quiet alone lunch/dinner. I got my protein, veggies and then when it came to the sauce I asked what the staff member recommended, she said the combo #1 and I said okay. Eat at your own risk. I honestly thought that their large bowl proteins really was a little slim for my liking. They do load the bowl, sure. With additional things or salads but not with the protein which is what youre really paying for. The proteins also do not seem all that fresh. Not sure if its because mine was delivered to me vs eating there but overall, the bowl was.. underwhelming. However, it wasn't inedible... until noticed that there was a piece of plastic found. This was stop three on my Poke exploration of the past three days and was a decent entry to my "competition". Decent, low-priced poke. I got a large "salad only" bowl of tuna and salmon. The combination bowl was nicely savory with a touch of spice die to the sauce selections that I made.. They had a great selection of toppings and in order to be able to compare to the other places I have visited on this weeks sojourn I had jalapeño, seaweed salad, masago, onion, garlic and edamame. I was really craving poke and didn't want to go to my local chain so I searched around for something new and wasn't disappointed! Pros: Hawaiian tuna - it's a pre-marinated tuna that's still cut into cubes versus the mashed up spicy tuna. It's what makes this place stand out imo and is delicious Crispy garlic and a garlic sauce - for once I could actually taste the flavor of garlic Decent sized vegetable add on list - comparing to poke spots in my area, they had more options Cons: Bowl shape - I feel like other poke places I've been to use a rounded bowl. This was one was flatter and so it was easier to travel with, but the base was a lot. I would've done half and half here because you get a lot of rice with the to-go bowl. (But that's on me!) Note: prices have gone up compared to some of the pictures of the old menu. I wouldn't say this is the best poke place I've been to, but it's still really good and stands out amongst all the chains. Parking was super easy since it's in a big plaza. And the two ladies at the counter were really sweet! Love the customer service here at Honeyfish Poke! This is my go to place in La Habra for Poke Bowls. The service here is fast, friendly, and conveniently located to be in and out quickly. One thing that stands out amongst other poke shops is their Hawaiian Tuna. I recommend it on the rice instead of mixed in so you can taster the flavor. The store is nice inside and set up to service to go orders quickly. However there are a few tables for indoor seating. They do the best they can for the limited space they have. Pricing is okay, a 3 scoop (medium) bowl is ~$16. Which seems expensive to me but most places in the area charge similar prices. read more

This is my once a week go to and love it. The owner and Korean lady that works there is very nice and always kind to me. They are generous with their portions and the different sauces , Japanese garlic and ponzu is my go to and is perfect for me. My sister and I craved poke all of a sudden, so we decided to return to one of our goto spots to get poke around oc. I usually take it togo, but they do have seatings for those who want to dine in. One thing is that they were dog friendly as long as they were on a leash. I usually get a small bowl and the workers are very generous with the amount of toppings and fish that they give. I usually get the hawaiian tuna as a mix in and the spicy salmon on the bowl with half&half (spring mix, white rice). I just add some basic toppings and top it off with furikake and fried onion. There were tables by the fountain a few stores down, so we went to sit there and eat our bowls. I feel like the taste of the fish is usually fresh and tasty. For me, the albacore is one of their standouts. Other places sear the albacore leaving it dry and rubbery by the time you get to it. Theirs is fresh and not seared. I also love the Hawaiian tuna. All of the fish I've tried from them has been fresh with great per-scoop portion size. I also think their selection of sauces is better than other places and keep coming back because I crave the mango habanero mixed with wasabi ponzu and house dressing. Lastly, the service is some of the friendliest you will find. The employees there make you feel welcome and put a lot of care into preparing your food. You can choose rice, spring mix, or half and half as a base and then choose from a variety of protein options (salmon, spicy salmon, tuna, tofu, etc.). I decided to go with the tofu option with a half rice, half spring base (you can still bring your vegetarian friends here!). They have a variety of sides you can add- corn, edamame, cucumbers, seaweed salad, etc. You then finish off building your bowl by adding whatever sauce you want- I did ponzu, eel sauce, and spicy mayo.
