I've been around and have seen Bafang Dumpling quite often in malls and shopping centers. Since they had one in the Brea Mall, I had to try them out. Ordered their Bafang Signature Noodle and Spicy Mala Noodle. Both dishes got very clumped together so I had to mix them for quite a while before eating. The Signature Noodle had a pretty good flavor but the Mala Noodle tasted quite similar but just a little spicy. They were pretty solid especially for the price for it being 2026 but nothing to rave about. The service was quite awful. I had looked at the menu beforehand so I knew what I was getting but there was no interaction at all. While waiting for my order, there were several people trying to order and the people working at the stall next door had to get their attention every single time. It's great food considering it's mall food but if they had this same service and food quality as a standalone restaurant, I wouldn't see them being open for as long as they have here.
We waited for 30 minutes after ordering for our food. Eventually, I went to check on our order only to find it sitting on the counter. Dumplings were ok. A little soggy... probably from sitting in their own steam in a paper box on the counter for half an hour. Ambiance is the mall food court. I kinda don't get why there's such a long line for this place... service aside, the food wasn't that good.

We were hungry after doing some window shopping at Brea Mall, so we decided to hit up the food court. Out of the many options, Bafang Dumpling caught our attention because we wanted some savory, but not too heavy, as we had dinner plan. After looking through their menu, their dumplings sounds the most promising. We couldn't decide on the fried potstickers or the dumpling, so we got both through their half-half combo. Steamed dumpling - solid dumpling with solid amount of fillings! The skin is moist and not too thick. Fried potstickers - crispy but not greasy at all!! I they were pretty similar to the dumpling but better because of the yummy crunch. I love that they have the garlic soy sauce beside the regular soy sauce! It was so good and went well with the dumplings/potstickers. Service was quick and nice! We got our food within 10 mins of ordering, which I was surprisingly fast for how busy they were. It's hard to judge the ambiance since they located in mall food court, but lots of seatings!
Bafang is a much-welcomed addition to Brea Mall's food court to add more variety to the "same old same old" in all the malls. My favorite is their signature potstickers with golden brown pan-fried wrappings and yummy fillings. I also tried their signature dumplings which are also quite good, but I found the skin is a bit too thick. Combos are good values and include a fountain drink. If you like a little kick in the flavor, get their kimchi and pork potstickers. There are also veggie versions for vegetarians. Packages of frozen dumplings are also available for you to take home.
We love Bafang Dumpling and were excited to see this location inside the Brea Mall food court. Food is made to order, so be prepared to wait for your food to be cooked. It does take about 10 minutes but the food always comes out piping hot and fresh. We always get their pork kimchi fried postickers with their hot and sour soup. They do run out of certain flavors by the end of the day so be there early!
I was really indecisive when it came to what I wanted to order from here. It wasn't a huge selection, the combinations just didn't quite work for ME so I settled with the pork chop with braised pork belly rice, and a side of Signature potstickers. The rice was topped with pickled veggies and cucumbers. I said no to the pork belly and cucumbers, and instead added green onions. Perhaps I made it a little too basic, but I needed it to suit my taste because I wasn't in the mood to not like my order. The dumplings were delicious, and so was the rice. I added a bit of soy sauce and ate both without a problem. The pork chop was okay, but could stand to be a bit crispier. The flavor components were right where I expected. The cashier was very nice, and very patient. He took his time to make sure I would be happy with my food. This spot is in the food court, so of course it gave food court. Nothing disturbing stood out. Good job Bafang Dumpling!
Great food court meal. I ordered the Signature noodles with steamed spicy wonton. The noodle was very flavorful (reminds me of Dan Dan noodles), noodles were chewy and not overly cooked. The wonton was also good for frozen dumplings, nothing too crazy. The noodle is the star. The prices were so affordable!
Although in a food court, it shines above the other restaurants for the quality of food and generous portions. Service was a little slow, although they needed to be sure the dumplings were done just right, so I'm not too concerned waiting a bit longer. There is really no special ambiance about a food court, but the location is nicely place in the center of the other food vendors which must say something about placement of the best restaurant.
Lunch at Bafang yeah it's a thang LOL sorry Idk why that came to my head. But I really love this restaurant they have delicious fast food dumplings. We got the kimchi pork dumplings and potstickers 12 each So good and so worth it, they have a lot of different items to choose from but we usually get the same. Today got a pepsi even though I like coke better lol the pepsi tasted good. Good ratio of ice and soda. The guy who took our order i didn't catch his name but very friendly and we got our order pretty quickly for how busy they were for a Saturday rush. Had to get the sauces ourselves this time. Which was ok :) love coming here for lunch even if it is mall food its really good and its always busy, plus they make everything fresh too. Recommend this place to try its at the mall in the food court next to Cinnabon. Can't wait to come back and enjoy some more delicious fried potstickers and dumplings. They have a self-serve sauce station with the staples, including my go-to garlic soy. The dumplings themselves came out hot, fresh to order. The filling was just how I remembered, juicy and flavorful. I just wished the pan fry was a bit more crispy, but overall a great choice.

Bafang Dumpling is a nice spot in Brea Mall if you're craving some quick dumplings or potstickers. I tried both the steamed and fried versions, and the fried one was definitely the winner for me. * Signature Dumplings (Steamed) 4/5 - Pretty decent steamed dumplings. This came with 6 pieces filled with pork and cabbage. They were good, but not as flavorful as the fried version. * Signature Potstickers (Fried) 4.5/5 - These came with 6 fried potstickers with a crispy bottom exterior and tasty pork and cabbage filling. HAVE: 4/5 Taiwanese Beef Noodle Soup 4/5 Crispy Wonton TAKE: Finally, a good Taiwanese spot in Brea mall! The Taiwanese Beef Noodle soup is a perfect mix of savory and slightly sweet flavor. The beef is very tender--feels like it was slow-cooked for hours. The dumplings were nice and crispy, not greasy at all. Customer Service 3/5. The setup is a typical food court style: you order at the counter, and wait for your name to be called. Regarding the service at the counter, it is very functional. The staff seems focused on moving quickly, so they don't really take the time to explain the menu or offer suggestions, even if it's your first visit. Overall, it's a great spot for a quick, authentic Taiwanese meal while shopping. read more

Soo oily! The food made me feel sick and not want to eat it as it was too oily! The beeper beeped but when I went to the counter, I had to wait about 3-5 minutes more for my food, mind you, they looked really empty. I don't mind waiting, but why beep when it wasn't ready? read more

Been to a different Bafang before realizing there was one in the Brea Mall! That certainly is a treat for anyone craving some soup or dumplings at an affordable price. I *always* get the wonton soup. It's the perfect amount and has this really simple flavor that just warms the soul. I've also tried the signature noodles and the chili fried chicken(?) The signature noodles is also simple and pretty decent. Nothing overly special but still ok. It's a good deal as a combo and a really decent meal. I couldn't tell if the fried chicken was chicken or pork chops to be honest. (Didn't see any chili at all). But the taste reminded me of popcorn chicken. Not spicy though so not sure what I really got... lol Either way, I'll definitely come back if I'm in the area. The only thing I really wish they would change would be to offer their teas like their other location. Bummer it wasn't an option. read more
Food is great as usual, but this is a legit 'mall food court' location, so I'm just reviewing because I wasn't expecting a mall food court experience. Menu is not the same as the restaurant menu, and no regular drink menu as well. Service was relatively quick with only 2 employees. Would go back if I find myself in Brea mall again, but wouldn't go for regular meals. read more

Ordered a beef noodle soup and the fried pork chops rice bowl. Omg, it was way, way, way too salty. I asked for some hot water to tone down the salt, but they didn't have any available. Very disappointed with Bafang's food quality. read more

This location is located in the Brea Mall food court and I'm happy to say that the quality at this location is just as good as the other locations even though it's in a mall! I stopped by for lunch a few days ago and got the signature noodles, potstickers, and spicy wontons. They make everything to order here like the other locations and all the food I had was delicious. The signature noodles had a good, chewy texture and absorbed the sauce well. The potstickers were crispy and had a good amount of filling inside and paired well with the sauce. The spicy wontons had a great kick of spice with their spicy sauce and the skin wasn't too chewy. Service was good and quick with my order taking less than 10 minutes and the cashier was friendly and helpful. This is a great new addition to the Brea Mall food court and the smell you get as you walk by lures you in. If you are craving for some noodles and dumplings, stop by Bafang when you are here! read more

I ordered the #2... special noodle and dumplings. The noodles were not spicy. But was nothing that' a little siracha and some of their garlic sauce couldn't fix. The dumplings weee a nice size and very filling. Overall the food was incredible!! But for it being empty and slow the food took a while to come out . That's the only bad mark. Everyone talked about this place and finally had time to stop by and try; located at the food court inside the brea mall (took over the old pinks hotdogs). The menu is very straight forward and simple...we ordered two combo and came out about 30 dollars. I was expecting the dumplings will be crispy but it's not very disappointing. The pork chop was good but not the best. Noodles are lack of favors and I think for the amount of food and ingredients mostly just carbs is a little overpriced. Maybe I just came to a wrong location or maybe they just had a bad day. read more

When did Bafang open at the mall?!? I def had no idea, but was pleasantly surprised when visiting the food court :) I'm pretty sure it took over the Pink's Hot Dogs, and I'm happy about it! Got the combo with 6 dumplings and the signature noodle. The signature noodle is pretty much a dan dan noodle, no meat, but really delicious sauce and good portion of thicker, chewy noodles. The dumplings are pork and cabbage and veryyyy yummy! They come out with a nice crispy bottom and there's two dipping sauces to choose from. Prices are pretty fair and food is delicious, service is friendly and they speak fluent mandarin. Would order again! read more
Quick service! Sesame noodles were bomb and so was the fried chicken. The spicy noodles and wontons were not spicy at all. Dumpling wraps are on the thicker/chewier side but the filling is good. They have soy sauce, garlic sauce, and hot and spicy on the side too. Just wish the spicy things were spicier ! Inside the mall so hella seating and portions are good for the price read more

Solid new addition to the Brea Mall food court. We ordered the Signature Potsticker and Signature Noodles combo along with the Bafang Pork Chop and Old Fashioned Noodles Combo which came with a large drink. We also ordered the Spicy Wontons which could have been spicier. I prefered the Old Fashioned Noodles over the Signature Noodles. The Pork Chop was nicely seasoned and seemed similar to popcorn chicken seasoning...which is why my son finished it up. Good reasonably priced food. Cashier was nice and the wait was not bad. You get a buzzer after you order. We'll be back! read more
Saw this new place in the Brea Mall food court and was intrigued. Ordered the 6-piece Kimchi and Pork Potstickers and I think I waited like 20 mins (for which halfway thru I definitely thought even if the food was amazing this probably ain't worth it for some potstickers). Aaaannd the food was horrible. Take a look at the picture, most definitely the worst potstickers I've ever had in my life. Did not even taste like dumplings really. Never coming back here and definitely don't recommend :/ read more
What a nice and surprising addition to the food court. I ordered the chicken and corn potstickers ($6 for 5 pieces). These were quite good though the dumpling wrapper was a little thick, but also mall dumpling. There was some sweetness from the corn, so overall, this was a solid potsticker with an excellent filling to wrapper ratio. The spicy wontons ($5.50) were also quite tasty. You literally get a million of them in the small tub. I was surprised at how meaty these little guys were. There was some spice, but not enough to not order them if you're adverse to spice. Let me tell you, dumplings make for a phenomenal mall snack. read more

Came to the brea mall and wanted something comforting, came and grabbed some food. The food was delicious and full of flavor. The service was quick and efficient. The brea mall is always a little hectic but worth the go. read more
Finally we got a new food court station to replace the former Pink's Hot Dog. I was excited to see this show up in the Brea Mall, because we desperately need more options here. It's never good when there's open spots and there's so many customers shopping here. I've tried their other location in the City of Industry, so wanted to see if they could pull off the same flavors in a 'fast food' setting. I ordered the pork chop with noodle + drink option. The other location had lemon tea as an option, but this location only had fountain drink sodas when the cashier asked which drink I wanted. Food was similar to the order I've had before, but something seemed off. The noodles were a but too soft, sticky, over done perhaps? Pork chop was 'okay'. Same price of $15 for this, and it is expensive for the value you get. The signature dumpling was warm/cold... not sure if it was reheated or what, but it wasn't a "must" get for their signature dish. Flavor was just 'okay'. The lady that helped at the cashier station seemed disinterested. No eye contact, and just sort grumpy with her position. I would expect that it being inside the mall, they would have someone be more excited and pleasant to work here, and invite the customers. It's a new location, why not be excited just a little? I appreciate that they have this as an option at the mall, but the flavors, the value, and the service isn't on par with what you could get in Rowland Heights area for similar food. Would it satisfy non Asian diners that want to try something different? Yes. Would it satisfy someone that usually eats Taiwanese dumplings/noodles/etc style food, not so much. read more

Ridiculous Portion and Poor Customer Service at Bafang Dumpling (Brea Mall) We ordered two Pork Chop with Braised Pork Rice bowls at Bafang Dumpling in Brea Mall. One bowl came with three decent pieces of pork chop, while the other had only two small, thin pieces. To make matters worse, one of the bowls was even missing the Chinese sauerkraut that normally comes with the dish. (See photo -- this was taken before we touched or ate anything.) I asked the man with glasses at the counter (possibly the manager?) if the smaller portion was a mistake. To my surprise, he said the company had just changed the portion size, and that the bowl with two tiny pieces was now the correct serving -- while the one with three pieces had received an "extra by accident." I was shocked and asked again to confirm. He said yes, two pieces is now the standard. I even pointed out the difference by directly comparing the two bowls side-by-side -- showing him that one clearly had a more generous portion than the other. Despite the obvious comparison, he still insisted that the bowl with two small pieces was correct, and the other one was just a "bonus." I then pointed at the menu photo, which clearly shows a more generous serving, and highlighted how inconsistent the food was -- he simply responded, "I'm sorry. That's just how it is." Not only was the food underwhelming, but the dismissive attitude and lack of care or accountability from the staff made it even worse. No apology. No offer to make it right. No concern. Just "that's how it is." If it weren't for how absurdly small the two-piece pork chop portion was, and the missing side item, I wouldn't even bother wasting my time writing this review. But this level of service and quality deserves to be called out. Management seriously needs to improve -- both in portion control and basic customer service training. We won't be returning. There are too many better options out there to waste time and money here. read more
