I have never been a member of a gym and still am not a member of Monmouth Fitness club. They offer a punch card and that works for me. I have climbed thousands of floors, attended plenty of classes, weighed myself many times on the BMI scale,and cried plenty of tears here. Going to a gym can be intimidating especially for newbies. I have always felt welcomed here. The group fitness classes are absolutely superb. All of the instructors are very passionate about the classes they teach. I have been to the most classes with Jacqueline and she is an excellent teacher. She makes sure the classes are always welcoming and always keeps the class exciting with a new routine. If you're looking to kickstart your health journey, MFC is definitely a good place to be!

Interactions between the owner and members are of confrontational as seen and experienced. In turn makes routine workouts feel stressful instead of productive as you are always being watched and judged. There is also a significant gap between the extremely positive online reviews and what many members experiencing day to day. Which raises questions about how accurately those reviews reflect the gym's culture. With talks of free memberships and "prices" in return. A gym should feel welcoming, respectful, and focused on fitness. Unfortunately, this location appears to fall short, and many people may be better served choosing a different facility.
