    Feeding the ducks...
    Farrah R.

We brought the kids back here for the experience. We came here when they were little and they enjoyed the rides, the free popcorn and cider, feeding the ducks, and wandering through the trees. We never found a tree here, but we have found our favorite taffy! We come back every year just for the taffy and sometimes visit some other stops while we're here. Gift shop, nativity set up, goat, chickens, duck, trees, photo ops, sleigh ride, they used to have quad rides (I don't know if they still do those), fire pit, etc. This year, there was a coffee food truck. We tried their hot cocoa. It's a fun place for the whole family, but it is loud and smelly in some places. Exhaust smells.

This is the cutest little place for a daytime Christmas activity! Plenty of parking, there is no parking OR admission fee, and they give out free cider & popcorn! The main purpose here is to cut down your own Christmas tree, but we already have an artificial one so we came for all the other stuff. There is a hay bale area with slides for the kids to play, and there's even a bonus playground that you can pay to enter. There are some animals to see and you can purchase food to feed them inside the store. My favorite part is definitely the sleigh ride though. It's $2 for age 3 and up. They had a couple of them going at a time so we only waited maybe 15 minutes max. The driver hands out lollipops before he turns on the Christmas music and takes us on the sleigh ride around the farm. Forget pumpkin patches, Christmas tree farms reign supreme!

We visited last week - still happy with this annual family tradition. Plenty of trees to choose from - still the free popcorn and hot apple cider and rides around the farm with holiday music playing overhead. Once you choose your tree, they cut the trunk and in our case, put the base on it, wrap it in netting and will help get it into your car. We always get a wreath as well!

The cutest place for fall opt photo shoot! So many areas for pictures with your loved ones. Great place to take the kids out for some family bonding. Especially during such a sucky year with the Covid. For the most part, most families tried to keep the. Social distancing. Everyone wearing their masks. Wash station at the entrance. I didn't see hand sanitizers, so prepare to bring your own. It's outdoor, dusty and lots of roaming chickens, cats and excited children. So don't wear your good shoes. Make sure to bring wipes for your kids when they go straight for the goats area. Or when they start chasing the chickens. And handling all the different pumpkins scattered all over the place. There is a cute little store that sells Holiday ornaments, a few Walt Disney figurines and personalize your own ornament. The workers were very friendly and make sure to not throw your receipts away. They check before you exit the farm. Can't wait to come back for the Christmas season!

They had an amazing selection of trees. You could grab a saw and cut your own down or pick one that Was already freshly cut. The whole place had a bit of an antique feel to it. There was lots of chickens and cats running around. They had their history posted, places where you could stop and take pictures. They have chairs set up around the fire that was burning and a gift shop. Complementary popcorn (which could've been a little fresher) It was a little muddy from the rain but Plenty of places you could stop and wipe your shoes off. I definitely will go back again. Merry

This place is great!! Only thing I had an issue with was the parking for disabled persons the gate was closed but because I was with my family they dropped me off in the front so I didn't have to walk with my walker around the fence to get in. I had come here before during pumpkin season with my daughters Girl Scout troop and liked it so much I wanted to check this place out during Christmas season. This was opening day in the mid afternoon. I don't know where my non got the letter inside that had all the pricing info but when she was reading it aloud it did sound bad for the prices of the trees!! It's cool u could either cut it down yourself or there were cut ones to choose from. It's great that they shake the tree and net pack em for a reasonable fee. They also had a lot of activities for the kids! The lines were long this day so we might come back soon to check out the rest of the area. Had fussy children with us so we had to cut our time here short but it was enough to enjoy. I remember a farm with animals in the way back but we didn't get to make it due to a time we had to head home to meet up with family plus the fussy kids. Looked like there was tons of parking, not much for disabled but luckily we got one since someone was leaving as we came. I do feel like we will plan another family visit next year too, so many great spots to take a picture at!!

    10/03/2020: Kabochas were super tasty

Review #176 - 2020 After we finished up with the #MAGADragTheInterstate rally in Rocklin, I took the kids to Silveyville since it was on our way back home. We showed up at around 2:30 PM on Saturday, October 3rd, and the parking lot was actually quite busy. It was about 95° out so I thought we wouldn't last more than half an hour in the high heat, but we managed to last almost an hour since the kids actually enjoyed it more than I expected. They actually have a few different rides for the kids so we decided to get on the quad ride, which was $5 per person. My 4-year old daughter actually rode along with me because she's too young to ride alone & she really enjoyed it. She even asked if we could go again, but I was getting hot & sweaty so I just wanted to get into my air conditioned car. We ended up buying a few kabochas and they were perfectly ripe so they tasted so good after I steamed them. The only reason I couldn't give 5-stars is because service was kind of lacking & prices were a little high. But if we're ever in the area, I'd definitely bring the kids back again...maybe we might come back for Christmas.

I was very impressed with what I saw and experienced about this place. Not only that they have more than enough Christmas trees you can choose from but they also have an area for kids to be entertained. I took my daughter and grandsons here and they had a blast. I never thought this place existed but it's right in Dixon. If you're thinking of getting a fresh Christmas tree, try and consider this place. Or if you want to hunt for those pumpkin patch, they have that too. Bring your kids. They have lots of activities offered for them to enjoy.

Great place to get a pre cut tree or cut down your own. That staff is friendly and super helpful, someone helped me tie my tree securely to my roof. The tree prices are reasonable. They also have animals to look at, a sleigh ride, and hay stacks for climbing for the kids.

This was super super fun! The perfect pumpkin patch experience. The only thing I wish was they had candy apples, cider, hand pies , cookies or some fall treats! But other than that you are gonna have fun. On a date with your special someone or with the kiddos.

Such a fun place and so many trees to choose from! We walked around to find our perfect tree to cut down and they had so many to choose from. The place is huge so I never felt too close to others. The people working there were very friendly and helpful. They had lots of options including ones to cut down or not, and offered to tow them for you. The only negative is there's a flat fee for each tree, it's not by weight or height, so if I had the room it would be great, but I have a small apartment so unfortunately got charged the same amount as people with the massive trees. Overall quick, easy, and fun and I'll be back once I have more space!

Ask the Community - Silveyville Christmas Tree Farm

Are saws provided for Christmas tree cutting?

Saws are provided and extra services including shaking, netting, and installing wood stands are available.

Can you take family pictures here?

If they are being taken by a paid photographer, we will need them to book a session and provide liability insurance. If they are not being done by a paid professional, you are welcome to visit during our open season hours and take your pictures.…

When do you open for Christmas Tree sales?

We open the day after Thanksgiving, Friday November 27th, 2020.

When do they close for the season, stop sleigh rides, etc?

Dec. 23 is the last day. They close at 5pm. Btw, after the 17th or 18th they usually have trees 15% off for the pre cut trees.

What sort of price range can be expected for pumpkins?

It really depends on the size/kind. Ive seen some as cheap as $1 and some as much $35. I think I paid $10 for mine and it was a pretty good size. They also have a gift shop and other things for purchase. I never get out of there spending less then…

Parking may be a hassle. There's no parking lot, just a dirt road to share. So plan accordingly. We went on their opening day so there were a lot of trees to choose from. We didn't know the difference between the trees but someone kindly explained it to us. Don't ask me now though, I forgot. The have a ton to choose from. Ranging from height, thickness of branches, and some with "snow" on it. They also sell fresh garlands and wreaths. We ended up getting one that's probably 6 feet tall. It's $3 extra for a net; which I think should be free but what do I know I guess. The net basically helps making your tree travels a little easier. So I def suggest paying that extra $3. Thankfully, they also help tying the tree to your car! Buying a tree isn't cheap, but the memories will last forever hehe We made it home safely and now it's all decorated!
