I rarely leave negative reviews, but after this experience I feel it's important to share. I've been coming to Simi Valley Car Wash for the Manager Special, which includes carpet cleaning. Unfortunately, I've had the exact same issue five separate times. Each visit, the carpets have been left excessively wet. Even after keeping the windows and doors open for nearly 48 hours, parts of the carpet are still damp and develop a musty, swamp-like odor. Every single time, I've had to return to have the work redone. I want to be fair because the customer service from the young men writing the tickets, the young lady at the front office, and the manager has consistently been excellent. Every time, they have been polite, professional, and willing to make things right. They deserve recognition for how they've represented the company they work for. The problem is that having to make a second trip after every carpet cleaning is simply unacceptable. What finally convinced me not to return was my interaction with the owner on July 23, 2026. I pulled in intending to explain, as I had on previous visits, that the carpet was still overly wet and had developed the same musty odor. Instead of listening, the owner approached me in a confrontational manner, raised his voice, spoke over me, and immediately blamed me for the smell. He insisted that carpet cleaning couldn't cause odors and told me I needed to take better care of my vehicle. He also kept getting within arm's distance, trying to be intimidating. I offered for him to sit in the vehicle, close the doors, and smell it for himself. I told him that when I turn on the AC, it gets even worse and smells like a swamp. He then said it was because I don't change my AC air filter. I explained that I change it almost every month or every other month because of my daughter's allergies. He refused to believe me and said I needed to change it again, even though the smell was clearly coming from the carpet in the rear of the vehicle where it was the worst. He then told me, "How about this: why don't you go change your filter again, and if it still smells, then we'll talk about doing it again." I explained that I used to detail cars and that if too much water or cleaning solution is left in the carpet without proper extraction, it can absolutely create a mildew or musty smell. Rather than having a professional conversation, he told me I didn't know what I was talking about and dismissed everything I said before again blaming me for the condition of my car after it left his business. Everyone can have a bad day, and mistakes happen. What matters is how a business responds when a loyal customer brings a recurring issue to their attention. Instead of listening and trying to understand why I'd had the same problem five consecutive times, the owner chose to argue, blame the customer, and be disrespectful. Because of that interaction, I won't be returning. I hope the owner realizes that good customer service starts at the top. His employees have shown me more professionalism and respect than he did. read more

The bald manager guy seems to think it's okay to throw the shifter into reverse before the truck is completely stopped . Be carful here , another time they threw my floor Matt onto the gas pedal and let the engine rev to the red line . Took the idiot almost a minute to figure out what he did . They washed my GMC Dually today and when they were done washing it, it sat in the sun while they worked on other vehicles while mine just dried from the sun and they spent about 10 minutes, wiping it down. I got home and looked it over all my chrome had streaks. My windows were a mess. It looked like shit. For $56 it was a horrible job. AVOID AVOID AVOID. If I could leave half a star of a review, I totally would. I had an abysmal experience at Simi Valley Car Wash and will never be returning. We waited nearly an hour for a wash and vacuum service, despite requesting a full vacuum. After inspecting my car afterward, the trunk and back seats had clearly not been vacuumed, even though I was told the service was completed. To make matters worse, I had recently replaced my windshield wipers before coming in. When I got home, my wipers were gone. Whether they were removed and not reattached or misplaced during service, they were missing after my visit. I called multiple times and had difficulty getting anyone to answer. When I returned to ask about it in person, staff acted like they had no recollection or explanation. The overall customer service was disappointing. Employees were dismissive, showed little accountability, and even after I still left a tip, there was no acknowledgment or appreciation. However, I feel compelled to write this review due to issues of discrimination and poor attention to detail. My husband and I have been coming here for years, but ever since the new ownership, we have noticed a consistent decline in service. The waxing has been subpar (always runs), and the detailing seems rushed and often incomplete, but nothing could have prepared us for what happened recently. On Thursday, July 3rd, around 1:30 PM, my husband and son played the little race car game and decided to watch from the tunnel while our car was being washed. As you know, car washes can get extremely busy around a holiday, so we waited patiently. After the wash, we discovered numerous scratches on the right side of our rear panels by the window. The tires were still dirty, there were black marks left on our tan floor mats from the vacuums, and the seals on our windows were popped out due to careless handling. Initially, I thought this was an isolated incident until I saw other reviews mentioning similar issues. Almost every review left in the past year has been negative, indicating a troubling pattern. As a Mexican woman married to a white man, with two sons who appear white, I never thought discrimination would be an issue here. However, after reading other reviews, I can't help but wonder if this was intentional. We returned within the hour to speak with management. The manager said he needed to consult with the other manager to review the footage and requested that we come back. So, we returned early on July 4th at 10:30 AM, only to find that the other manager was off that day and we were asked to come back later. We returned on July 5th after getting back into town. Manager Jose claimed there was no way their wash could have caused the damage and accused us of lying. He provided us with the owner's contact information, suggesting we reach out to him. We will share screenshots of our conversation for all to see. My husband and I never expected this situation to escalate so much, but the management is not taking responsibility for their actions. They own several car washes in town. If they do not resolve this issue by covering the costs of the repairs, we will consider legal action. What started as a small issue has become much bigger than we ever anticipated. If you have experienced similar problems recently, contact Kevin and Jose. If the owner wants to make this right simply pay for my car to be fixed and take some accountability. I have been going to this car wash for years since I've moved to Simi Valley. The last two times I went they did such a poor job. I decided after the first poor job that I would return and give them another shot at it. But they disappointed again because they didn't even wipe down the roof of my car and there was all kinds of residue spots. When I went, I told them about my first experience and how disappointed I was the employees could care less. For a $40 car wash plus a five dollar tip, I could've done a better job. Horrible service. They scratched the back of my BMW when I know 100% for a fact that these scratches weren't there on the back of my car prior to the wash. The manager didn't want to give me the contact of the owner but I kept urging him to give it to me until he did. I see there's a history of this car wash scratching cars the same way they scratched mine and chipped my paint. Do not come here, they won't take accountability. Plus Kevin, the owner, told me that everyone with the same complaint as me are just lying cause they want their cars fixed for free. The quality of this place has gone down drastically. I just got my truck washed there last week and same thing. I gave them another shot with my wife's new car and same issues. The value of the car was is $50 bucks. I know it's not a detailer that comes to my house but for the price I would think I'd get the bare minimum of a wipe down and a proper vacuuming inside the vehicle. If you have it listed on the sign of what you are going to provide then you should provide it. I shouldn't have to go around the vehicle and inspect the minimal things. I even had to ask them to use their rags to wipe down the windows better because of all the water spots on them still. I got home and saw all the dirt and noticed nothing was vacuumed and so now I'm at home and have to do it after I paid them to do so. Unfortunately I won't be going back. Our vehicles were not previously scratched or damaged. We would have known this. If the car was not damaged by your car wash, I wouldn't need to write a yelp review. There's no way you, Kevin, would have known what scratches were on it and what scratches weren't. So when you claim that your service didn't do it, you would have no knowledge of this, as you did not inspect our cars previously and after the car wash. I'm sorry, sir, but you had probably have a talk with your employees. Notice how a lot of us said that our cars were scratched there? We took our Highlander to the car wash in mid-July for a full detail. They had emptied out all of the contents of our center console into a bag. But the bigger issue is that they removed the sliding tray and somehow lost it. We've been trying to get a hold of them by phone since July but nobody picks up. We've also gone into the carwash but the manager was out and hasn't called us back. The OEM replacement is about $100 so we're trying to contact them to get that tray replaced but what a headache. Half a dozen unanswered calls and no contact from the manager. We don't plan on returning for any further service. read more

I went here not by choice but bec C&M Auto&Transmission shop messed up my front seat and ended up w some gease on it. They sent me here for a quick shampoo of the front seats and I watched the guy shampoo the seats! Man was he washing my seat and wetting everything like he can submurge the entire seat in water! Water was dripping everywhere and wetting my power seat control. I asked him to wipe them but he doesnt understand! Why do I need to tell even tell him?? Doesnt he know that?!! Geez ! So I wiped it myself. The rubber mattings at the back were all wet too which I ended up drying myself. Good I have rubber mats, what if i just have carpet??!! Then another problem??!! Why leave other parts of the inside of the car wet??!!! Thats not part of their $15 shampoo charge per seat?? I called the shop and talked to Nicole, the receptionist but she just said, she never saw them shampoo seats, so she doesnt know. I would ask for a rewatch but I don't have an extra 30 minutes to wait. Last time I got the spray wax which was never done. Two cars behind me were worked on not sure how they pick. I work for a sand mining company and I came in after I got off work for the weekend to get a nice car wash people told me not to here because the service and quality isn't good but I still went in to see for my self. This place wasn't good at all my truck is still dirt with sand and mud. I washed 2 cars yesterday and both times they forgot air freshener! My second car they didn't even wipe the side view mirrors. They are still water spotted and dirty. My second car was smaller and easier however came out worse than my oversized truck. Sad after spending $100 on car washes! read more

Just got home from paying $30 for a car wash at the car wash on tapo Street. I opened the back of my Bronco to find that it hadn't even been touched whatsoever. I'm sure they didn't even open the back when they vacuumed or when they cleaned the vehicle. In addition the front seat still had my dog hair all over it from having just sat in it it's leather so they could have vacuumed it off easily. And the back seat had nothing wiped down or vacuumed either. Horrible horrible service at this car wash don't go. Tried calling the manager as soon as I got home so I could share this with him and the pictures to see if I could get a refund and the phone just rings and rings and rings no one answers it. This place doesn't even deserve one star but it doesn't let you submit until you give something. The exterior was good but I was they would've actually detailed it.This was the interior. I was really sad with the experience here. I paid 80$ here and have gone to a couple other places that were farther away but a bit more expensive so I wanted to find somewhere somewhat closer. We drove 25 minutes to come here and I really wanted to love this place. The people were nice which is why I feel bad leaving this review but again for 80$ not including the tip I'm Really Disappointed and it was most definitely not worth the service.we had just gone to Starbucks and I left my Starbucks there FULL and they threw it away. I also noticed my sons quarters were missing from the cup holder and he was really sad about that too. We normally give him the change from places we go to so he can save them for games when we go out.They put a couple of things in a bag that we had so I thought they were maybe thrown in the bag but when I checked, they were nowhere to be found. When it comes to our cars, I personally prefer to do my own vehicles. For the most part the employees did a good job. A plus for %100 hand wash. Enclosed are photos of my truck being washed. All by hand. When I dove in into the establishment, yes I was asked would I like additional services and I stated no, maybe next time. Remember the employees are just doing their Job. Suggestive selling. The car wash does give you a $3.00 off your bill, with a Yelp check in. However it goes back to the employee who is drying your vehicle. I had wished that the employee had used the air blower to get the access run off from the water, very important to apply this method to all the cars coming out of your car wash. Service is the key. Employees should do a little more. Pricey for just a car wash. Your profit margin is tremendous at these costs,most do a little more. read more

I bought the express wax. I'm not very happy with the service today. 1st thing I noticed was the Mat. They were vacuumed but not well. They did not move the mat or vacuum under them. Bird residue still on window and skylight. Interior doors not wiped with a wet rag or spray. I asked for the console to be cleaned as it was very dirty. That was 1/2 ass. The first car wash for my brand new Jeep Wrangler and I already have countless swirls and deep scratches. I will now have to pay out pocket to get this all fixed. I paid $39.00 to get my car washed and they did a horrible job!! The inside was not cleaned and the outside still had dirt and the wheels were done half ass! Oh no, the entire l car was done half ass! I could have saved the money and done a better job myself.
