Very frustrating that this business is not reliable. I went the other day after driving there for almost 25 mins during opening hours and they were closed. And they NEVER answer the phone when I call to check if they're open. So I would like to get a refund for my month wash plan. Showed up at 1pm on a Tuesday. No line. Exterior only wash was $20 and they got my vehicle (Tesla) washed and ready in less than an hour. They were very kind and helpful. Warning! Beware of this shop! First the manager tried to add a large truck charge for my Mach-E. It is a cross over not a large truck. Next, the manager wanted me to write my credit card information on a paper form. Never do this! I refused even though he said it would stay locked in the office. That form sat on the counter in the open the entire time I waited for my car to be washed. Customers and workers had free access as the manager was out washing cars. Several red flags here. I decided to return to Platinum Carwash on Park Lane under new ownership and they are so friendly & helpful and smiling. Everyone greeted me with a "hello". I see most of the bad reviews are over 1 year ago. The car wash was closed for a while, and has recently re-opened under new ownership, and management. The new ownership has seemed to really change the quality of the car wash for the positive. The car washes are done by hand, and the drying is done by hand. My car was super clean inside and out. The workers are super detailed, and take their time cleaning the cars. I got the works option, which was about $31 without tip. This included outside wash, interior cleaning, and tire dressing. I believe they are currently open only on the weekends to see how new business goes. They seem to be not very busy at the moment. I hope they survive, and people return from the dead, because I know the previous ownership really put this business into ground...hence all of the bad reviews. I will be going back, I was very happy with my first time there under the new ownership. Give them a try. read more

This business recently changed their name and repainted the building blue and white, but it's the same basic business, with the same staff. I avoid gas station car washes because of how damaging their equipment can be on paint, and in Moorpark, this is really the only hand wash in town. The results are usually very good, and the staff will go a long way to make something right, and make the customer happy. Once in a while, they will miss dressing a piece of black rubber trim, or will not wipe the chrome wheels properly, leaving streaks, but otherwise they do a great job. The prices at this facility definitely went up, along with the facelift, and the cheapest wash I could find on their "menu" was $28.95. That's actually higher than other hand washes in the Conejo area, and the service doesn't justify the added expense. So I may start visiting some of the competitors soon. However they are finally allowing a cash-back option for tips again, which is great for the workers out in the sun, detailing your vehicle. I still recommend them, but watch out for the price.
