The younger lady who did my brows left many short stray hairs. She was done in about 2 minutes. When I told her to remove them, she reluctantly did so and told me they were barely noticeable. I had to tell her about 4 times to go in and remove stray hairs. I've been getting my eyebrows threaded for years and I'm used to them removing every single hair that doesn't contour my brows, but this was not the case at Simky's. I had many visibly leftover hairs beneath my eyebrows I could see even without my glasses. Before even letting me approve my brows and handing me the mirror to see them, she was already putting gel on my eyebrows which she had to wipe off to remove the many stray hairs she left behind. I will not be returning to this place, nor do I recommend it. You're better off staying at home and tweezing your own eyebrows. read more

I usually don't let anyone touch my eyebrows as they are the most important part of your face! I have done threading once in New York and I was impressed with the quickness and look of it so I decided to give it a try down here. After looking on Yelp, Simkys seemed to be the most popular, best reviewed and inexpensive so I decided to give it a try! You don't need an appointment so you can just walk in like I did. The place is large and open and looked clean and inviting. I wrote my name down and was taken about 2 minutes later. The girl who worked on me was nice and helpful. It was a little strange to tightly hold my forehead while she threaded but beauty is pain! She was fast and listened to what I told her. She shaped my eyebrows beautifully and was welcoming everyone who walked in. The whole process was maybe 10 minutes from the time I walked in till I walked out. Was staying at the Diplomat resort hotel and had no means of transportation, found a mall/plaza thing and came across this eyebrow place. Being from NY finding a threading place is insanely easy this place was not in plain sight and I am insanely thankful for Yelp, found this place walked in and within 2 minutes was getting my brows tamed. Service was quick friendly and nothing crazy when it came to the price. I gave 2 stars only bc the girl who did my nails I was her first client and she just started didn't know where nothing was. Unfortunately my experience wasn't that great my feet for pedi were soaked in cold water and my hands for mani was even colder the massage on my calfs was more like cold water being splashed on my legs I had to tell her to stop cutting my nails because she went all the way to my fingers. My cuticles were not cut at all and my pinky toes were not touched being I did not have a pedi mani for over 7 months ( my mom had a stroke and I take care of her) I was looking for some pampering should have saved my $22 on Groupon added another 10 and went to my regular girl well shame on me. I went on a Sunday which was completely empty and told the girl I'm surprised because in my regular place it's packed on Sundays I got to tell you if you do want to get your eyebrows done this is the place to be they do an amazing job even though I didn't get my eyebrows done there was many people coming in just for that. I did notice that there was no sanitizing liquid for equipment the young lady who did my nails sprayed some alcohol (I think it was alcohol) on her utensils which made me very nervous and glad she did not cut my cuticles.When I got home I looked at my nails very closely especially the toes so uneven they were filed it's unbelievable. I have been coming here for many months now and even though I moved out of Hallandale, I still drive down to see Simky because she is so worth it! My eyebrows are very difficult to work with...thick, long, coarse, wild hairs that grow in every direction they shouldn't, so they were a major work in progress. With Simky's expertise, they are now looking better than they ever have! I seriously would never let anyone else touch them. I used Sabeen twice at this location so far, I am shocked to read such negative reviews on her, i am a picky person and a business owner and she has always been kind to me. she has NEVER been rude. Always tells me to pay however i want, cash or credit, it's always up to me. She is fast and does a good job on my brows. I have naturally short brows and she was able to give me a little shape and she is nice and pleasant and talks with me a little bit during the service too. i have yet to use Simky herself yet but i am sure i will eventually try her out too, since she has great reviews here. I came here twice, but today was the last time for me. As others have indicated, there is one person in this place who seems to make it miserable for everyone. She has long dark hair, I don't know her name. It took her two minutes to do my eyebrows. She is rude and I felt like I was butchered. My eyebrows came out uneven, she left eyebrows all over my face and obvious lines of lotion across my forehead. She obviously takes no pride in her job. It's because of her that I will not return. Simky does an ok job. Unfortunately you have to put up with her nonsense. If you make an appointment she may not appear. I called to see if she was there. She was and I said I'll be right over. Best service!All the woman who work there do a fantastic job.Obviously they are super experienced.The price is a bit better than most eyebrow places,which is definitely a plus. There is a super nice indian music playing in the salon that makes you feel relaxed comfortable and you enjoy it.They also do it so fast and you don't feel any pain!Highly recommend! wow, I started coming here because it was convenient, but that's all it is. First, they don't finish a customer before starting another. I was still signing the credit card when she put someone else in the chair. I recently bought a living social and didn't see the location was for Fort Lauderdale. They refused to take it and she told me I should know better. then told me oh just pay here and go there another time. I said that;s not fair and I am a regular customer. I left and she did not care. I would drive further for better service. They never answer their phone and they speak about customers while they are sitting there. This is the only place where I can trust someone with my eyebrows. My eyebrows are very complicated and probably uneven, since I used to get them waxed years ago. Not only did they manage to shape them the way I wanted them to be, but my eyebrows seem to last longer too! Symky is the owner of the place. There is another young lady who also threads eyebrows, I forget her name (if you're reading this, I'm sorry!!). They are both very friendly, consistent with their amazing skills, and willing to listen to what you'd like and provide it. If it so happens that what you want cannot be achieved, or it would do you a disservice, they'll let you know in a diplomatic way. Never have I seen them argue with someone, or a disgruntled customer that felt the need to create a scene. This is most definitely due to their threading talent and their attitude. I am forever thankful for this place which I've been visiting for the past year or so. Never once have I been disappointed! I was walking around looking like I had two furry caterpillars instead of eyebrows on my face. So I looked up a threading place on yelp near my house and I figured with 5 stars I couldn't go wrong. I called and even though I was coming in right before closing time they were very gracious. It's amazing how quickly she threaded my eyebrows and above my lip (apparently I needed that too). The price is great and everyone was very nice. I just wish I would have been cleaned off all the loose hairs better. I will definitely return and I would recommend them to everyone. So I have read the raving reviews and decided to try this place and I was very disappointed. When I walked in today, which is a Thursday, I was barely acknowledged. When someone finally did say something it was "eyebrow threading, just sit there". She didn't even make small talk or ask what I wanted. She then proceeded to thread my eyebrows and it took a total of 5 minutes maybe. When I looked at them, I was disappointed Bc she didn't add any shape just threaded the random hairs that were growing. And my eyebrows aren't EVEN!! I'm very sad to say I will not be returning due to poor customer service. I'm not sure the name of the person that did my eyebrows but she needs a lesson in talking to customers bc her attitude was not okay. Simky was not there so maybe that's why. Second, while the space is a little too big for what is actually going on there, it was comfortable and clean. Lastly, and probably the most importantly, Simky was UH-MAZING. I went to a cheap waxing place and they completely messed up my eyebrows and created holes everywhere in them. I have naturally thick eyebrows and I looked ridiculous. I went to this salon yesterday after buying the three for $18 threading sessions on groupon and I have to say o had a fantastic experience. My eyebrows look great after and I got truly excellent service. I didn't bring cash for a tip and all I had were my credit cards on me and so I offered to get the eyebrow tinting service so that I could run my card and leave a proper tip and the owner told me that I truthfully did not need it and to just tip next time. It is rare to find someone that will not take extra money from you and give you honesty. The store is kinda hard to find so if you are interested in giving them a try they are located in the shops just behind the publix across the street from the winn dixie plaza on Hallandale. Simky herself threaded my eyebrows and they turned out great. I purchased an eyebrow tinting service which was very nice! It didn't last as many days as imagined. Also- when I called earlier, the man who answered the phone told me eyebrow tinting was complementary for new customers. Such was not true when I got there.
