Since I have moved from California a year and a half ago I have tried two eyebrow threading places. One in one of the malls (horrible experience) and here at Simkys brow bar. Ever since I came here I have not went anywhere else. Even if I go out of town I will still wait for her and her amazing work. These reviews are for a reason. She is extremely busy so make an appointment and please respect her time. She literally takes on so many people a day and does not dissapoint. Thanks Simky! You are the best! I prefer threading oppose to waxing because I have very sensitive skin. They got me in immediately (no waiting, yay!) and she was very quick and cleaned them up nicely. The pricing is average too. I have never done my lip as my hair is blonde so you can't see it but I wanted to try it out just to experience it and it was so fast! More pain then brows but hey beauty isn't always painless. Parking is plentiful here and the location and atmosphere is what to expect from a threading salon. I will return. read more

I feel so comfortable approaching her and I always leave feeling much better than when I came. She has amazing customer service and really puts her clients above all else. This is my first ever review on yelp and it took my coming to this brow bar to finally write a review. The is the worst place I ever been to in my life. Let's just say one brow is arched and the other is round. Two completely different brows. I got my brows done by Lucy and she literally did not say one word to me durning the service. She messed up my brows and now I have to wait 2 months for regrowth . Please save your money and go elsewhere, this place sucks. absolutely in loveeeeee!!!! my eyebrows needed some serious TLC and I was terrified of another person touching them and leaving me browless. My best friend took me for my birthday (Feb) to Simky all the way to Hallandale and I was hooked. Simky is the sweetest person I've met and well not to mention a BROW GOD! seriously after she was done I had Hollywood brows. Definitely a go to spot for everything you want or need with the best results. The threading is on point and I think the experience was further supported by one of their other customers raving about how great they are. They offer massages, nail services, and facials in addition to threading and are quiet and very tentative and friendly. They even offered massages to those waiting for services. read more

Clean, large salon. Location is very difficult to find if you use GPS/Google Maps, so call and get directions or just know that it's in the walk way next to TooJay's and Publix. The girl who did my brows was very quick, and she was listening to hindu music? Not sure what you call it, but it was relaxing. It was only $12n which was a great deal, and it took about 5 minutes. I got in and out of the place in less than 10 minutes. When I walked in the receptionist, i thought at the time, asked me what I wanted. I told her I needed an eyebrow threading and was really surprises when she told me to sit and started on my brows without asking at all how I wanted my brows to be done. She did not do one eyebrow and let me look to see if that was what i wanted. Before I know it, my eyebrows were done and i did not even know what shape they are in. She then gave me a mirror after both were done and went to stand by the cashier while I glimpsed into the mirror.... Not exactly my ideal brow experience. I also noticed that she did not pluck my brows at all to make them even . Simply threaded. Used scissors, and done. As one can see, my left and right eyebrows are... Uniquely different. One looks like it was shaped, other seemed to be.. Unique. I would not drive another 20 minutes to come to this place. read more

Horrible service here.... went to get my eyebrows threaded and tinted and the girl wasn't even done with my eyebrows but she was already asking me to pay ??? She did a bad job on the threading and left my eyebrows the same as when I walked in and don't even get me started on the tinting. I had to get the dye removed that same day because it was embarrassing to walk around how she left me. Honestly the prices are cheap but it's not even worth the horrible service. I recently moved from Miami Beach to Hollywood and I knew my mission would be to find a new person to do my brows. Luckily, I used YELP and was able to find Simky's Brow Bar and all the great reviews that surrounded it. I had not been able to find a brow salon in Miami Beach that did threading so I was pleased to see that threading is their specialty. The salon is in the Publix plaza in Hallandale, across from the Winn Dixie. There is some renovating going on to beautify the plaza so it looks like the shops may be closed but they aren't. The salon is located behind the BB&T bank. The salon was quiet, typical for a Monday. There were two people in front of me and I was seen in less than 10 minutes. Karen was there that day since she works Mondays and since it was my second time threading in a couple years, she told me what I needed to do and she was done in no time. She did an excellent job and I am so happy I have found a new brow place! I'm a very big fan of nicely shaped, thick defined eyebrows & she was able to do that quickly. My eyebrows look better than they have in a long time. I'll definitely be back when my eyebrows are ready :) read more
