Great place for a special occasion like birthday, homecoming, or prom. Enjoyed a late lunch after a 24 hour fast; wanted a nice steak. Had a corner with a great view all to myself. Did not have to wait to be seated, even without a reservation, I got right in. A little pricey and out of the way, but every denverite should try it at least once. I know that I waited up 'til now to give it a try.

Husband and I went on a Tuesday night for a date night specifically for happy hour around 5:30pm and we loved it! Both slider options were delicious, the wine and cocktail--also delicious! The service was a bit slow. Not sure what happened there since Tuesday night wasn't so busy. The views in the evening are worth checking out at least once! We noticed a brunch sign of all you can eat--we will be checking it out also!

The overall vibe and atmosphere is wonderful. Such a beautiful view of the city lights and very romantic. Over waiter, Lars, was exceptional and provided a great experience. The drinks were also good. I had a whiskey sour that was not on the menu but it was still great. Avoided the old fashion's because it's not served on a big rock which is disappointing for a steak house. The food was sadly disappointing as well. I had the roasted chicken and my boyfriend had the center cut filet which was cooked perfectly. For sides we had the Brussel sprouts and Mac and cheese. The food was not bad but not special for the prices. The bread pudding however was incredible. Also the bread and butter is heavenly

2nd time having Sunday brunch Buffett and it was infinitely better than the first time mainly because the crab was good! Last time it was not. I was slightly bummed that the price no longer includes mimosas but I don't blame them for making that change. Had good service from John and you can't beat the view. I also love the fountains out front and the fireplaces throughout. Prime rib was fantastic. Don't skip the cinnamon roll they are amazing!

The receptionist was very welcoming and helpful in getting a window table. We were celebrating our 48th wedding anniversary with our youngest daughter and my husband's mother. It was unfortunate that the sky was smoky. The food was excellent; sea bass, lamb and steak. You have to order the bone marrow appetizer! The desserts were great but the chocolate diva was to die for. Our server, Colin, was fun and attentive. It was a magical evening!

Google shows the restaurant is open until 2100.

We traveled from California and had a reservation for 2045 through open table. We got there at 2036 and they told us the kitchen was closed for the day. As we arrived the Valet guy without saying hi he instantly said "our kitchen is closed". That gave us bad vibes to begin with. This was going to be my second time there and was super excited to bring my gf for the first time. First experience was good but this time it was very unprofessional. We ended up going to a diff steak house close by (Mannings steak and spirits). They took care of us and welcomed us unlike Simms.

First timer at Simms. My husband and I had dinner outside on the patio (per our request- I wanted to see the view). Patio was nice, fresh air felt good, our view was pretty clouded due to the weather - no fault of the restaurant obviously. We started w cocktails and calamari, I had the gin and tonic which was so refreshing w the raspberry and lime, very good light drink. My husband ordered the old fashioned which he enjoyed very much. Calamari was crispy enough without being too fried. Entrees were awesome! I loved the sea bass and didn't even finish all of it. My husband thoroughly enjoyed the rib eye steak, cooked perfect. We loved the au gratin potatoes that we shared. We got the bread pudding dessert to go and it was perfection with vanilla ice cream. Look forward to going back!

Sims is a great steakhouse and the service was impressive. The food was great excellent and the view is a reason for visiting alone. Going with a group helped us try each other's food. We ordered 2 order of the seared Ahi appetizer, shrimp cocktail, a few wedge salads, lobster bisque soup, French onion soup, a few prime ribs, a few rib eyes, salmon, and a few drinks. I will be coming back for special occasions.

A very nice place for a special occasion! I went here for the first time with some friends to celebrate the holidays. We had a few appetizers and 3 people got different steaks whereas I got salmon. All the food was really tasty. It is very heavy though- lots of butter! And definitely on the pricier side. The service was very good and helpful when we had questions.

Went to Simms Steakhouse for dinner on a Monday. It wasn't too busy and we got good seating for a small group of folks with a good view. With our group, plenty of appetizers and sides were ordered. I stuck with the bacon, but heard from the group that all of the other appetizers were delicious. For the main course, I went with the NY strip with a side of bearnaise sauce. Steak was cooked per requested, but the cut didn't taste as the price would suggest including a bit too fatty. For sides (no photos), we ordered the mac n cheese, broccolini, asparagus, scallop potatoes, and fries. I would say to skip them all except for the scallop potatoes and fries. The mac n cheese was not cheesy at all. Broccolini and asparagus were still a bit hard and didn't have any flavor as it seemed just steamed. The sad part was the sides came out super late after all the entrees came out so didn't really had sides to go with our meal. Overall, it was a good experience. I would go again to check out the view during day time and maybe try their lunch menu.

Ask the Community - Simms Steakhouse

    What is the attire?

It should be Business Casual but when my family and I were there, some visitors had sneakers and shorts on. It is a very classy restaurant but definitely not formal wear. I wore nice jeans, cowboy boots and a nice blouse.

How much would an average date cost at Simms?

My husband took me there for date night with appetizer, 3 glasses of wine and two steak dinners it was about $200 with tip! You could probably get by cheaper with no appetizers, alcohol and cheaper food choices

This is basically in "The Mills" mall. They were able to get us seated in a long rectangle and we looked thru the menu. Our server was Gannon and he was very helpful, friendly, and accommodating. We all ordered water to start, then we basically ordered our lunch entrees and bypassed appetizers. Of note was my choice of eating the Korean Cheesesteak, with an upgrade to truffle Parmesan fries. The hoagie roll was chewy on the outside and pillowy on the inside. I usually judge ratio of meat to bread and this one definitely had more bread. I wish it had more meat, but I also understand inflation and not having $30 lunch entrees. My truffle Parmesan fries came out a little later, and they were worth the wait. So flavorful, piping hot, and addicting. My parents got the spicy beef garlic noodles and they were really well done. The garlic had crisp to them, but complemented the noodles so well. I was going to get this originally but decided the K Cheesesteak was my preference. All in all, the food was well executed and we had great service. Our lunch was set up on the fly, and we were super grateful they could accommodate us as we made our way there. To paint the picture: my complexion was one step away from powder, two shakes from Death Becomes Her, and hanging on by a thread. Meanwhile, the lunch crowd was absolutely booming. The room was shaking. Every table full. Servers moving at warp speed. The room had the energy of the stock exchange mixed with a feeding frenzy. It was chaos. Enter our waiter, Christian. Knowing my blood sugar was somewhere near sea level, we immediately ordered drinks and a heavy carb appetizer. Now, I don't know if he sensed weakness. Maybe my soul had already begun leaving my body and he caught it in the corner of his eye. Whatever happened, this man immediately understood the assignment. Friends. The drinks arrived so fast I genuinely wondered if I had blacked out and missed part of reality. I drained mine like I'd spent a week wandering the Mojave Desert with nothing but bad decisions and hope. Before I could even contemplate my next move, Christian appeared at my side holding another. No interruption. No, would you like another? No judgment. Just pure, silent efficiency. Like a beverage ninja. Like a hydration angel. Like if Batman's parents had been restaurant managers. I was stunned. I just... BRAVO. As the meal progressed, color slowly returned to my face. Organs restarted. Vision improved. I regained the ability to form coherent thoughts. By the time the appetizer arrived, I was no longer seeing the ancestors beckoning from the distance. Now, the food. Sliders: Bigger than expected for sliders and genuinely delicious. Served with fries, and honestly? This is a full meal. Not "tiny burger appetizer" energy. This is , I have eaten and now I am satisfied with my life choices, energy. Sweet, sticky, perfectly glazed, and paired with fire-roasted vegetables and Parmesan mashed potatoes that deserve their own fan club. I considered guarding my plate with my elbows and hissing at nearby tables. Classic Burger: My ever-predictable companion ordered the classic burger. It was excellent. Her only complaint was that it was too large. Perhaps next time they can cut it into manageable princess portions. She's a dainty creature and apparently prefers to finish a burger without wearing half of it on her chin. We all have our journeys. Verdict: The food gets 5 stars without question. But the real standout was the service. I'd give this place 6 stars for Christian alone. I was not my usual fabulous self that day. I looked rough. The man noticed, and despite a packed dining room, he paid attention and cared. That's not something you can train into people. You can't buy that kind of service. Yard House, protect that man at all costs. Give him a raise. Clone him. Study him in a laboratory. Whatever you're doing, do not let him escape.
