I was a bit more than peaked when my anxious, hangry companion and I staggered into Yard House for lunch. To paint the picture: my complexion was one step away from powder, two shakes from Death Becomes Her, and hanging on by a thread. Meanwhile, the lunch crowd was absolutely booming. The room was shaking. Every table full. Servers moving at warp speed. The room had the energy of the stock exchange mixed with a feeding frenzy. It was chaos. Enter our waiter, Christian. Knowing my blood sugar was somewhere near sea level, we immediately ordered drinks and a heavy carb appetizer. Now, I don't know if he sensed weakness. Maybe my soul had already begun leaving my body and he caught it in the corner of his eye. Whatever happened, this man immediately understood the assignment. Friends. The drinks arrived so fast I genuinely wondered if I had blacked out and missed part of reality. I drained mine like I'd spent a week wandering the Mojave Desert with nothing but bad decisions and hope. Before I could even contemplate my next move, Christian appeared at my side holding another. No interruption. No, would you like another? No judgment. Just pure, silent efficiency. Like a beverage ninja. Like a hydration angel. Like if Batman's parents had been restaurant managers. I was stunned. I just... BRAVO. As the meal progressed, color slowly returned to my face. Organs restarted. Vision improved. I regained the ability to form coherent thoughts. By the time the appetizer arrived, I was no longer seeing the ancestors beckoning from the distance. Now, the food. Sliders: Bigger than expected for sliders and genuinely delicious. Served with fries, and honestly? This is a full meal. Not "tiny burger appetizer" energy. This is , I have eaten and now I am satisfied with my life choices, energy. Whiskey Glazed Salmon (me) : Absolutely criminal how good this was. Sweet, sticky, perfectly glazed, and paired with fire-roasted vegetables and Parmesan mashed potatoes that deserve their own fan club. I considered guarding my plate with my elbows and hissing at nearby tables. Classic Burger: My ever-predictable companion ordered the classic burger. It was excellent. Her only complaint was that it was too large. Perhaps next time they can cut it into manageable princess portions. She's a dainty creature and apparently prefers to finish a burger without wearing half of it on her chin. We all have our journeys. Verdict: The food gets 5 stars without question. But the real standout was the service. I'd give this place 6 stars for Christian alone. I was not my usual fabulous self that day. I looked rough. The man noticed, and despite a packed dining room, he paid attention and cared. That's not something you can train into people. You can't buy that kind of service. Yard House, protect that man at all costs. Give him a raise. Clone him. Study him in a laboratory. Whatever you're doing, do not let him escape. read more

Impromptu date night - our daughter had a competition in Arvada so we came in for some food & drinks. Seated immediately which is a plus & surprising on a Saturday afternoon - so a great start! We ordered our usual fries to start & the garlic chili edamame sooo good!! I would've been fine just eating that edamame it was delicious!! For our entrees we had the pork chop & I ordered the steak noodles. Hubby's pork chop was amazing we added a side of mashed potato's as it needed a starch My noodles came out and the taste was off - steak was the right consistency & tender, very generous portion - it just wasn't the right taste it should've been an umami, garlic soy flavor & this was a very sweet sticky sauce - I asked to send it back & they did. Yard House is consistent! Go to any location and you will find consistently good food....it aint high brow culinary stuff....but there is always something for everyone. Great burgers, Salads, Sandwiches, pizza etc. We always come here with large birthday celebration parties and everyone leaves happy. Place was packed last time we were there. Food was just okay (i just didn't like the burger much, kind of burnt so picked those parts off but it overwhelmed the rest of the flavor for me). Price was comparable as well. Yard House has a large bar and all the cocktails, beer and ciders anyone could ask for. Our Bartender was so cool and asked our names and I wish I could remember his name. Hannah welcomed me and was amiable to me working while I waited for our large group to arrive at our reservation time which was half an hour later. Jen brought my chamomile tea. So cute in the pot and with some honey it was heaven on a cold, snowy day. They were both friendly and helpful and I enjoyed chatting with them. It was our annual holiday lunch and Danial was our server. He took a little to thaw but he when more relaxed, friendly. I couldn't decide but then with advice from Hannah and Jen I ordered the sesame crusted ahi tuna. It was seared perfectly and delicious. The jasmine rice was not as soft or fragrant as I like but it was fine. The charred baby broccoli and baby tomatoes were lovely. This is another great ahi dish they serve. And I ate my friend's truffle fries which she didn't finish. Everyone who tried it thought it was tasty. I'm glad we had our holiday luncheon here. I ate here with my family this evening and had the most extraordinary experience. Two members of our party ordered wine, which had not arrived at the table by the time they had finished their entrees and then came only because my wife pointed out to a server that the glasses of wine were sitting on the bar. We complained to the server who agreed to comp the wines but then removed the unfinished wines from the table!! Just before this, we had been presented with our bill which only included these 2 wines. I pointed out to our server that they had not charged us for the $200 of food we had ordered. I have never known comped items to be taken off the table before. Additionally we received no apology for the delayed wine and no thanks for pointing out the under billing error. What a horrible experience. They messed up on our pick up order twice. Once we got the food it was cold. They didn't include any silver Ware once we got back to our hotel where we realized they missed it. Food was not good. Either the chicken was very tough. As vegans, my family really used to love Yard House, but we've noticed the food quality has really gone down over the last few years. The last few times that we're gone, the many veggie options they once had have dwindled. Now there are just a few options, and much more difficult to make fully vegan. My wife, along with our son, his wife and our 2 grsndkids (ages 3 and 5) recently visited the Yard House. This is a great family-friendly restaurant that is quite nosiy (good for young kids). Our grandkids were well-behaved but it was nice knowing that if they had been boiterious no one would have noticed. The Yard House has a great menu with something for everyone - ranging from a variety of burgers and sandwiches to a good assortment of steaks, chops, chicken, etc. One of the big draws for Yard House is their EXTENSIVE selection of crfat beefs (over 100), a good wine menu and a full bar. I was especially impressed with their craft beef selections. For dinner, we started with an appetizer of Wisconsin freid cheese curds that were delicious - much like the ones I had in Wisconsin. I had the whishey and aged white cheddar burger (billed as one-half pound). The burger was very good but not exceptional. However, the fries that accompained the burger were exceptional - they were close to being perfect. My wife had the fish and chips that came with an excellent rendition of cole slaw. She was very pleased with her order. My son had the cheesesteak while my DIL had the classic cheesburger. The Yard House has a great kids menu and my granddaughter opted for the sliders with fries while my grandson opted for pizza with a side of fries. I went to Yard House on a Tuesday evening without reservations. We were told the wait was 5-10 minutes but decided to sit at the bar. Unfortunately it took a while (15 minutes) to flag down bar staff to order anything. Once we flagged someone down, it took another 5 minutes until they were able to help. The service the remainder of the evening was the same. We even had to flag someone down to pay after waiting 15 minutes with our credit cards out. They do have an enormous selection of draft beer! The menu is decent size. The restaurant is surprisingly large. We ordered the Blackened Shrimp Tacos (with rice & pinto beans). I did not eat very much of it. Unfortunately the tacos were loaded in the spicy sauce, with not much else. I believe there was two pieces of shrimp, a tiny amount of cabbage. There was guacamole, but it was on top so it would not be mixed in with the rest of the flavors. The description of the blackened shrimp tacos made me believe the it would be medium spicy. With the enormous amount of sauce, it was very spicy. The description of the rice made me believe that the rice would be very spicy. It was not spicy at all. My partner ordered the Nashville hot chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries. Unfortunately, the sandwich was not spicy at all. My partner very much looks forward to Nashville hot chicken sandwich's. This was the least favorite he has experienced. The sweet potato fries tasted a bit stale and cold. I honestly wondered why the restaurant had so many customers. I would believe it is due to the large beer selection, the location at a mall, and right across from a Tesla Charging station. In choosing a restaurant for our family, with a very serious soy allergy we reviewed the website's allergen list, (user friendly and thorough.) However, when we arrived at the restaurant found out they changed the oil that all their food is fried in to soybean oil. The change was made months ago. It's inexcusable not to have updated the website in that time frame. Having complained about that, though, the manager and waitress were more than accommodating and went out of their way to provide a soy free meal for for our very hungry child. I also had the shiitake mushroom noodles but hated it from the first bite, but besides this one entree there were no other issues. Absolutely amazing! I read the reviews prior to visiting this location and was honestly worried that we were going to have a sub par experience based on what others were saying. She was so friendly and outgoing and made sure to check on us frequently. The food is absolutely amazing and reasonably priced. The spinach dip is to die for. They put Parmesan on the freshly cooked tortilla chips. I could have eaten all of these on my own. For dinner, I ordered the Maui pineapple chicken, which was delicious! The chicken was cooked perfect and the sauce was sweet and salty, which went well with the sweet pineapple. The plate was enough for 2 people to share! I paired it with a cup of their Tomato Bisque with soup crackers. I got the Nashville hot chicken sandwich with spicy slaw on a brioche bun with Parmesan Truffle fries. Nice large piece of chicken bigger than the bun. Great truffle fries. My second beer was the Weldwerks Apricot & White Peach. A sour fruit beer that was quite interesting. The waitress we had, young blonde girl, didn't change our order correctly, and I've just seen this stuff to many times to believe that it wasn't on purpose. I changed my drink order at the beginning to a cheaper option but she left the more expensive drink on the bill to increase the total cost and her tip. Plus she came by every 5 minutes trying to get us to buy something else while we were there. There's a menu/order thing on the table, we would have ordered more if we wanted to.
