I just received a letter from a collection agency that says I owe SMI $706.36. This comes after not receiving one bill or phone call from SMI. I asked after my appointment to pay my co-payment ($15) and they said to wait until I was billed. Bill never came. I just checked with my insurance company, and no claim has been submitted. This is a time-consuming hassle that no one needs. After I straighten this out, I'll never return to this facility. read more

I would give this business no stars if I could. I went in for a routine mammogram and they called me back two weeks later to say I needed to come back in "they found something" and it needed to be redone plus an ultrasound, they gave me no other information other than that except if I had questions to call me doctor which in it's self was nerve wracking but I set the appointment up to come back. Today I go back in, arrive 30 minutes till my appointment as requested and waited for 45 minutes to be taken back, then after redoing my mammogram a second time the technician has me sit on a chair in a hallway, still in a hospital gown where other patients both male and female are being taken back for an additional 30 minutes before I finally stopped her between patients to ask how much longer it would be especially since she left me in a hallway half dressed and got the response that she had no idea it depended on the doctor. About another 10 minutes later the doctor finally comes out of the ultrasound room, says to the technician (without addressing me, apologizing for the wait or even acknowledging me) that she has to write up the chart from the last patient and it'll be 10-15 minutes and then just walks off. I told the technician this was not acceptable and got dressed and left. I will never go back to that clinic nor have I ever been treated with such disrespect by a doctor. Review update, they are still sending me bills for $26 for an appointment above that I walked out of before being seen and still call at least once a month to try to reschedule me after I've asked multiple times for them to stop calling me. read more

Made an appointment on 10/02/18 for 10/03/18. While on phone making appointment, my insurance was checked and Simon Med told me there would be no copay as it was covered by insurance. I arrived 15 minutes early, as instructed, 10 a.m. for a 10:15 and 10:30 appointment. Waiting......waiting..... finally at 11:00 I am told that she just got through to insurance and it's covered. So now I will be put in line to wait some more. I don't know why insurance has to be rechecked the very next day. Now been here for an hour and 15 min and still waiting. read more

Went in at 9am , because you can't make a appointment for X-rays. I was told by front desk to go to a different location due to a 1 hour wait time. Drove to location they told me to go to and the line was around the building. So upset I drove back to AJ check back in and was told their is a hour wait. Ok, so 2 hours later inquired when I would be next. They said 45 more minutes!????? When I question why??? I was told that they are doing their best. What is going on. 15 people have come and gone. Why lie about the wait time? Why are they still telling people it's only a hour wait time. Why lie??? What is going on. it is now almost 3 hours. I'm still waiting? WTF read more

This is the worst place to have any imaging done, nobody knows what they are doing. I called SimonMed the week of August 3rd to see if they do ultra sounds, the lady on the phone took all of my information and scheduled me for an appointment today at 3:30 with a check in time of 3:15. My husband and I got to the office about 3:00 and my husband went up to the counter and the lady said, we don't do ultra sounds. How come I got a call last Friday to confirm my appointment and she said drink lots of water so they can see your vessels and then I asked her if the appointment is still at the AJ location and she said yes. People there need to know what procedures they do there and what procedure they don't. I have been waiting almost 2 weeks to get my knee checked out while in pain. Poor BUSINESS!! I DON'T recommend this establishment whatsoever!!!! I had to give a 1 star because there is not a zero star available!!! read more

Came in today for my husbands MRI. we were told to be here at 1:30 pm for his appointment. We sat in the waiting room watching patients go in and out. At 2:45 I asked the receptionist if she checked my husband in and she told me yes she did and that the technician was running behind. To me, common courtesy would be to let a patient know that is waiting nearly an hour and half That the tech is behind. I mean hello??? Oh look! He just got called back at 3:20!! I think morning meetings should be a must here and teach their employees some common courtesy and respect. Or offer pillows for our behinds for sitting so long. read more

I am writing this review as a patient and current employee. I go to the Greenfield office for all of my imaging needs. If you have ever been to that location you know it's a very busy imaging center and you are waiting for your appointment. As a patient you often sit there getting impatient , wonder "what's taking so long "and "why is that person going back before me when I was here first." As a employee I can tell you that there are sereval different modalities at all locations and the techs are doing their best to stay on schedule but things do happen. I have only been at SimonMed for a few months.I have trained at different locations and worked with a great group of people who have helped me learn my job. Everyone from front office staff to fellow employees have been very friendly and helpful. I finally have a homebase in Apache Junction. I love it here. The patients have been great and I know a lot of them from my many years in the health care field. The employees here work hard everyday to make a positive visit. I'm glad to be apart of this team. read more

Awful. This company is beyond incompetent. They don't answer the phone. When they do you get put on hold for 30 minutes and then hung up on. This happened 3 times. Tried to get them to get medical records from another medical facility and they can't get it done even after going directly to their office. I looked at the BBB reviews and they also have been rated 1star. Lots of complaints. Go find another imaging facility that is reputable. read more

If you can read this ..... avoid at all cost. You are welcome in advance. Scheduled an appointment a week in advanced, left work early, arrived to the appointment early and PAID and was turned away an hour later when I was told a difficult patient took up my appointment time slot. That particular patient was in the lobby the entire time in the bathroom screaming/ loudly moaning and did not even go back until an hour after my appointment. I was then told the doctor would not have time/ nor wanted to work late to see me as now my appointment was beyond backed up and I would have to be rescheduled for another location today. After no other location would take me they told me they would again beg the dr to see me. After telling me the doctor would stay late as they had "no other option" - I rescheduled at another location. Why would I want to be seen / treated by a dr who had already made it clear my appointment was now a burden. The front desk had no empathy. I have had positive experience with other SimonMed locations but this one left me feeling like I needed to bathe in hand sanitizer. read more

This poor gentleman in front of me has wasted the same time here only to be told they can't do his procedure and rather then helping him they say take a card and call scheduling. Having imaging done at this SimonMed location was one terrible experience. I had doctor orders for 3 separate tests. Two had to be scheduled and one was an x-ray, which is a "walk in" procedure. The doctor's office faxed the orders in and said I would hear back from SimonMed to schedule the tests. When, after 3 weeks, I hadn't heard anything, I took a copy of the orders to SimonMed. They scheduled me for the exams while I was there. When I showed up for the first scan, I was informed that there was over an hour wait. No one from the office called to indicate there was a long wait. I had to reschedule due to another appointment. I came back and while waiting, I was told I needed to fill out paperwork for a cardiac exam. I explained that that was not me, as I was there for something completely different. I had to have them print the doctor's order in order for them to sort this out. Had I not asked, I would have been given a test that was not ordered for me. I actually had to argue this fact with the tech. When I came back for copies of the reports the following week, I signed in and sat there for over 20 minutes with no call to the desk. There were only two other people in the waiting room, so it was not due to being busy. I finally approached the desk and asked why I had to wait this long. They were "sorry" but forgot to check the log (even though they told me to sign in). They ran the reports and gave them to me. When I got home, I only had two of the three test results. I find the staff here to be very poorly trained and have no concept of customer service. I will never use SimonMed again. read more

This place is a joke. My father recently had an appointment at 2:15 p.m. We arrived early at 1:55 p.m. and had to stand in line until 2:45 before the receptionist was available for check in. This place needs to understand that older people cannot stand in line for almost an hour. Simon Meds needs to find a better process for check in or hire additional staff. read more

I spoke with a SimonMed Representative ahead of my MRI to get a price quote to ensure the OOP cost that I would be responsible for would be within my budget. The SimonMed Representative looked at my Health Insurance Plan and my MRI Order and gave me an estimate and assured me it would not cost over a certain amount. Shortly afterwards SimonMed billed me more than double what was originally quoted to me at the beginning. After escalating this issue to a Supervisor at SimonMed in the Billing Department they would not honor or match the original quoted amount and would not stand by the original dollar amount that was assured to me was accurate by a SimMed Representative. read more

In 2019 I had some X-rays done which one appointment after checking in they forgot I was there and I sat waiting for 6 hours. I also had an MRI done Then at the end of the year through Blue Cross Blue Shield I overpaid simonmed $120. I had all the listings of what my insurance paid and what I was supposed to pay. I called the person there to talk about this. I said they only owed me $60 and told me prices that I paid with the receipt that were different from my receipt. Anyway I never got any money and have all the proof to show it. The lady wouldn't even talk to me about it. Too much hassle to take them to court. I know I'll never use them again. This review is based on 2 visits. The first time, the tech at least was kind and professional. Both times, I have witnessed elderly clients waiting in line for 15 minutes+, just to talk to someone/check-in, some of them in obvious discomfort having to stand for so long. This place is like a big robot, a robot that has not been updated for quite some time. They will have you fill out forms online and upload your ID and insurance cards online, using a time consuming system, then they still have you fill out the same forms in person. You get a text to "let them know you are here" online but you still have to wait to check-in. Their Covid precautions online have not been updated (it's been more than a year and a half since the beginning of Covid and this is a healthCARE place!) and the information about their policy for the presence of a support person is inaccurate. If you try to use the "chat" function, a robot answers you and you do not have a way to interact with a real person. If you try to call and speak to a real person whom knows the answer to your question, it is close to impossible (I tried and was not successful). Their scheduling system is very complicated. Even when calling to schedule, I had to call twice as "the person whom can schedule this kind of appointment was not here the first time". The second visit, the tech was devoid of any humanity, compassion, lacking even the most basic communication skills. I was emotionally vulnerable due to the reason for my visit and I was quietly in tears for at least half of the test, due to our initial interaction when she called for me in the waiting area. She was like a robot, her eyes never changed expression, even when I could not stop crying. I actually felt bad for her, that her employer managed to make her that way. We all choose to go into healthcare because we want to help people and somehow some people forget that along the way (or are taught different, usually by a greedy employer). I will never go back there. I have never felt so dehumanized. No signs of compassion or humanity, from the whole place. If you are an actor and want to learn how to act as a Terminator, then please do go to that place, their robotism seems to be institutionalized and perfected (although not updated). If however, you want a kind, compassionate, humane interaction, I would skip. Personally, I even prefer when people are rude, at least it shows they are human. What I experienced here on 9/9/2021, was way beyond rudeness. read more

I made my appointment on line like the office staff insist you do now. Took the day off work for my appointment. Received my email confirmation the day I made the appointment, the day before the appointment and that day to be able to check in online. But the girl at the desk couldn't have been ruder. This was my second time dealing with her. This test was in addition to a test that I had previously done. I blew her rudeness off to a bad day, covid mask, busy etc. with my first appointment. But No! She is just RUDE! She said I do not have a appointment and refused to have me seen that day. I work for a hospital. I'm a nurse. I will definitely tell my friends and colleagues about my experience. I have already spoke with my physician. I will never go there again. I will go back to my old place. They maybe slower and out of the way but at least they treat people with a little respect. Simon Med in Apache Junction you would do yourself a great service to improve your front desk. I had a CT scan of my neck done today. It was written with and without contrast. The tech could not get the IV in and when she finally did, it leaked and fell out. After about 10 minutes of poking and complaining she decided to try the right arm. Same thing. She finally decided to call the doctor for direction. After 35 minutes she came back in and said "You're done. I couldn't get a vein. If you need a contrast again, go to the hospital. " I said " Have a good night. It wasn't your fault". THEN she said "I'm pretty sure it was 50/50!!! ". Seriously???? How was it my fault at all? Don't go here!!!! read more

I have used the AJ office of Simon Med located on Southern Ave. since moving to AJ. I have yet to have a bad experience, and today was an example of my past experiences. Pete is a wonderful asset to the facility. My wait time was minimal and I was treated like royalty. I have read other reviews of this office, but I honestly have never had a bad experience. I would give a zero if I could. I went in for an MRI for which I pay cash. I told them ahead of time I needed an invoice show cash price, they said I would be able to get that when I paid. 1st lie. I paid using a debit card, they could not even print a receipt. Then a girl that works there said that my card didn't go thru so that's why I couldn't get a receipt so she asked for my card again and ran it then I got a rec. for 1/2 what they actually charged me! When I checked my bank record I found out the same day that they had double charged me. 2nd lie I called finance dept. right away and they said oh we're sorry but we can't refund it for 7 to 10 days!! Now 10 days later NO refund. I call again and a different person says oh it takes 2 weeks to process a refund! So I said are you going to pay any overdrafts from my bank. Ha ha of course not. But they are sorry! I guess I should just tell SRP oh sorry but I can't pay for 2 weeks. read more

I went into Simon Med twice to get a knee X-ray. You can't make an appointment, it just walk in for X-rays. The first time they told me it was too late, (4:00 p.m. - They close at 5:00 p.m.) The second time I went at 8:15 a.m. they told me it would be anywhere from 1 hour to 2 hours wait time. I don't know about most people but I don't have 2 hours to sit and wait for a 15 minute X-ray. I then called EVDI and they made an appointment for me for the next day and said it would take less than 5 minutes. I'll never bother with Simon Med again even though it is really close to where I live. read more

Had an appointment and here I am an hour and a half later with 2 people still ahead of me.

I was referred to Simonmed for a CT scan for abdominal issues. Went online to arrange appointment and had to wait ten days for the test. Upon arrival at 8:15 was told that I should have received a call the day before informing me that the machine was down and they had no idea how long and the next appointment was two weeks later. The only call I had that day was from Texas and it was not Simon med and I had no messages or blocked calls. So they arranged an appointment the next day at another location first thing so I drove there and arrived 30 minutes before and they informed me that I should have received a call the day prior because the machine was down when the appointment was made by the other location. Does a physician owned corporation not have any cross communications? Does a physician owned company not have any red flags in their information system for notifying involved employees and patients. What happened to the doctors assistant that would call and make the arrangements for the patient? At least then, the accountable department would notify the doctor who would then notify the patient and save them trips during a COVID environment. I would say that you should save yourself a trip and call the location before your appointment but they don't answer the phones either read more

Wait for almost two hours with 3 customers and it took 5 minutes for the x-rays? Unsatisfactory!!! One guy was even eating his lunch waiting. I would never go back here. You should schedule appointments even for x-rays, no sense in this. Then you have the audacity to ask for money. Our time is not valuable I guess. Excellent experience with Simonmed, both during my MRI's and while getting copies of reports and CD ffor surgeons. They were proficient and as quick, considering the multitude of people they are trying to serve. It was irritating to hear people complaining about the wait, which is to be expected since they can't help when emergency cases come in and push routine cases back. If you have somewhere else you need to be, then that's your fault. A+ read more

I went in for a 9:30 MRI of my Right Hip today, 12/6/2017. Got there a few minutes early to sign 1 form (I was just in a couple weeks ago, so no big paperwork required), and explained to the receptionists that I needed to leave at 10:30, no later, to pick up my grandson from Pre-K in San Tan Valley at 11:00. She said no problem, all is on time. About 15 min. later, they take back a woman w/an oxygen tank. So, I don't have a phone or watch on me and no clock in the waiting room, but I figure they know what I need and will get me in a timely manner. So I wait, in pain, on an uncomfortable chair, with 5 blown discs and a "bum" hip. I could swear I'd been there quite a while and I see people come/go. I ask the nice lady beside me what time is it, and she says it's 10:30. 10:30!!!! OMG!!! I get up and ask them if they forgot about me, and they are just clueless. I overheard them say something about they were running 30 min. late, but now it's more like an hour. I'm like why would you let me sit here for an hour knowing you were running late? Then they try to back track and blame the lady w/the O2 holder. I explained that lady didn't go back until 15 min after I sat down, which means they WERE running late when I checked it, and LIED about it. So, I've now wasted 2 hours of my time (1 hr waiting, and 30 min drive time there, and 30 min drive time back). This is time off work, gas, and the pain I'm in . No apologies were made...EVER. I called to complain to SAMUEL CASTOR who I was told was the supervisor of the site, and he goes onto say that my appt wasn't until 10:30? LIE. I confirmed my appointment w/Central Scheduling (I spoke to Taylor) and my appointment was, indeed, at 9:30. So, again, they were running late BEFORE I even showed up. If they had just told me from the get go they were running late, I'd have just rescheduled and left, and not sat in extreme pain/discomfort FOR AN HOUR! It is one thing to run late, as things do happen, but you do not need to LIE, or be uncaring. GO TO ANY OTHER SIMON MED LOCATION, BUT DO NOT GO HERE! read more

Zero Stars! When I first got to the office I was told it would be 45 minutes to an hour which seemed to be an awfully long wait for an X-Ray. I waited an hour and nothing. After two hours I went up to the receptionist and asked for a refund of the amount they had charged my credit card as I was leaving. I had worked the night before and had to get home and go to sleep. The receptionist went into the back area and all of a sudden the X-Ray Tech came out and called my name. In the two hours I had sat there I only saw the X-Ray tech come out 4 times to get a patient for X-Rays. When he took two chest X-Rays for me it took ten minutes max. Why did it take 2 hours for 4 patients? Stay away! What does this office do when the Snow Birds (Winter Visitors) come back, I can't imagine how screwed up it is then. read more

I recently had an experience where I needed to pick up a CD of a prior CTscan. I had an appointment with a spine specialist in the morning and needed to take the cd with me. Although I appeared at the Apache Junction facility early morning on a Monday, Taylor willingly made the cd's while I waited. Meanwhile, she checked in other patients, spoke with technicians regarding waiting patients and scheduling, etc. Taylor couldn't have been more pleasant or professional. I like to use this place since it is close to home, but I loved the other place EVDI that was in the same business area which has since moved. They were at least not too busy and very professional. This place, I can't tell you all the screw ups I've had to deal with, from being told "the Radiologist will review your procedure with this X-ray and compare them and get it back to your Dr", waiting 3 weeks, then going back in and they knew nothing about it, and said "oh no, the Radiologist can't do that". to being told I need a stat mamogram, to no, we don't do stat mamograms. It was a bunch of misunderstandings and one fiasco after another fiasco. Anyways, I survived and have a lot of patience. My copy of a procedure done at another Xray business was given to the front desk and I should have had them make a copy but my mistake, and they lost it or threw it out. My only other complaint besides the long waits and front office mess ups, the kids there are really nice, but on at least 2 occasions they giggle and laugh out LOUD about funny stuff on their cell phones with some other staff member, good lord, that was never allowed in my places of business.
