This is my 2nd time here and it is still not a professional outfit. The first time I came was for a walk-in x-ray - waited for about an hour and then was told the x-ray tech didn't make it in that day and I was sent to a different location. The second location got me in and out in 5 minutes. This time I had a series of tests done over 4 1/2 hours and no one let me know what to expect or anything. When I made the appt the individual on the phone and I went over specific details but none of what actually happened. The front desk staff at this specific location are rude, condescending, they act as is they are doing us all a favor by showing up. Not nice at all. Poorly organized as well. I get that places are short staffed, but don't take it out on the patients!!!! I wouldn't have come here this time but there were only 2 locations in AZ that did this test, so it was the only convenient one. I hope I don't ever have to go back there. And the waiting room was dirty - I imagine it doesn't get cleaned much. read more

When trying to make an appointment for x-rays, I went on the website. It asked me what kind of test I needed. I chose x-rays. Then it asked for more details....what body part, which side, etc, etc. After answering, it said I could not make the appointment online. I could just walk into the Apache Junction office, or I could call them. I then called the number and after answering all the same questions, it directed me to make the appointment online, or walk into the office and wait. After realizing my only option was to walk into the office, I did so. I waited for over an hour to have bilateral knee pictures done. While waiting I spoke to the receptionist and told her of my terrible experience trying to get my x-ray appointment!! She said x-rays are always, always, without exception on a walk in basis!! Imagine my anger and disappointment when I realized I had wasted so much time trying not to waste hours in your waiting area!!! All of this could have been avoided if only your website or telephone messages had just said my only option at this office for x-rays was to walk in and hope for the best!!! This is totally unacceptable treatment for patients just wanting a simple x-ray! You should do better!! read more

Office was slow, uncommunicative and the front desk people were surely when we asked, after 2 hours how much longer the wait would be. This was for an ultrasound and an MRI, which when we asked they said 40 minutes to complete both. In reality it was over 2 hours! There was ZERO communication up to the two hour mark. When I asked about it the woman at the front desk was unaware of any delays and asked if we had checked in yet! This was after two prior conversations with her. Unbelievable! read more

Since the Breastlink/AZ Diagnostic Radiology takeover of Dignity Health facilities the quality of the experience has not been the same. I have always had good experiences at Dignity Health facilities and am very disappointed. Calling to schedule the appointment I have had two times now speaking with a male for scheduling women's health imaging. Not okay. Just keep a line for mammograms etc that is handled by women. Today's adventure is a "first available" appointment, 30 minutes from my house in a gross neighborhood. I arrived at 2:00 for a 2:25 appointment. Still waiting at 3:10 and there are patients ahead of me for the ONE tech that can do breast MRI. Guess what? It's a male. Not who I want to have in charge of me right now. And I certainly don't want to be watching all the "look at all of these horrible types of cancer" propaganda videos while I wait. You suck, BreastLink/AZ Diagnostic Radiology. Get it together. I love this place. The front desk people are very friendly and helpful. I was taken back for the test on time. The techs have been great. They have explained the procedures and made sure I am comfortable and understand what is going to be done. I have been to 2 other company's sites for tests and, by far, this one is the best. BEWARE OF THEIR OUTSOURCED OUT-OF-STATE BILLING COMPANY IN Pasadena, CA! I always replied to their pre-appt text messages asking me to update my contact info AND provide a copy of my insurance card front & back, then at my face-to-face appt, they asked for my card to copy again. But they don't bill the ins company on your card or even reference it if there's an insurance issue. They bill the ins company listed in the giant government health ins database EVEN IF IT DOESN'T MATCH THE INS CARD you sent them 4 times. They keep billing you and send your account to collections! I called several times to explain to them that my current insurance company made an error and did NOT update the national health ins database with my new info so it showed a former health ins company. They fixed it in 3 days, but these AWFUL people never RESUBMITTED my claims nor perform an update on THEIR reference software which would have shown the fix my health ins company reported. No bells or whistles went off with them that the ins company listed on the national health insurance database did NOT match the CARD I GAVE THEM NOR did they call the Providers Phone number on the back of the insurance card that I gave them 4+ times already. NOR did they reference a former appt's billing information that matched the insurance card I gave them. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE like SMILE or Simon Med. read more

Had an MRI done on the 19th and was told by tech and the portal to check for report that it takes 3-5 bus days for the report to be completed. It is now the 29th and no report on portal, called the office sat on hold for almost an hr and half to get someone, was told it actually takes 7-10 bus days and it has not been read! It should not take that long to read and complete a report! I have had others done at other imaging and it has never taken this long! One really bad communication and two extremely bad customer service!!! Very frustrated patient!! read more

I've been to this facility several times and have always been pleased with the service. The office staff is fast and efficient and the tech are very nice. My only complaint would be that for over a year the office has been "under construction", parts for the floor aren't finished and there are no base boards anywhere in the building so everything looks dirty and unfinished. read more

My wife went to AZ Teck in for an mri. They wanted to collect 260 dollars even when the procedure was 100% covered by my insurance. Other patients we talked to also had issues with billing at this pace. My wife came out of the mri visibly upset. She's not claustrophobic, but this time was different. I will be a new patient and it is impossible to create an account online or schedule an appt. No real human answers the phone, only an AI robot voice telling people to go to xrayhours.com which does not work on my expensive MACBookPro computer with my computer usually, working perfectly. The robot voice wants patients to go in person as a walk in basis. I wasted all morning trying to schedule an appt. online and also tried creating an account, and after I put all the info in, it would only allow me to schedule for an appt. someplace about an hour away from where I live. The other reviews say that the people who work at AZ Dignostic Radiology are great. I'm just saying that the online system does not work for my computer and now, I'll have to try going in person to see how long of a wait it is to get an xray and hope it's not one of those "wait all day to see if they have time to give me my xray" days. read more

I think this center is very good. The staff is pleasant, and I am confident in their work. The reason for posting this review is to try to cast off the feelings of frustration I am having in regard to tests ordered by my physician. A few weeks ago, my physician ordered an MRI scan of my spine. Arizona Diagnostic Radiology told me they did not have the capacity to do the exam because I have a pacemaker/defibrillator which requires deactivation for the exam and which they simply do not do. I tried to get the exam scheduled elsewhere but was unable to do so. Calling around I found I was speaking to a representative of this same center, ADR, and I was told that given the presence of the pacemaker/defibrillator, I could indeed have the MRI done there if I provided the information on the device card, I carry with me in my wallet. A link was actually sent to me so I could snap a picture of the aforementioned card, submit it, and the "pacer team" would evaluate it and get back to me if that team approved of the process to get the MRI done. I still have the text with the link on my phone, sent to me less than 12 hours ago by Arizona Diagnostic Radiology - Apache Junction. Later today I received a phone call from ADR - AJ, reminding me I have been told originally the exam could not be done there. I was reminded that ADR did not have the capacity to turn off my pacer for the exam. My frustration, and the motivation behind posting this less than perfect review is the question as to why I have been given different answers at different times, clear to the point that I was given a link to submit information in order to have the exam done, which I was told within a few hours was not even possible at ADR - AJ. If that exam can't be done at there, I understand that. I have no complaint regarding what they are or are not able to do, but I am very frustrated that I can't get the same answer twice. I truly appreciate these people, having had several exams done in their center but I'm frustrated and dissatisfied in this particular case. I still recommend them, and will return in the future, but felt I needed to post this info. Perhaps an evaluation regarding this question, and who may have been misinformed, will lead to customer care even superior to the otherwise exemplary care they provide. Honestly, my visit today was the worst experience I've had at a medical faculty in AZ. I walked in and the girl with a super short hair at the front desk barked orders with no hello. Sadly, this set the tone for the visit. I was then asked to pay an estimate which is incorrect based on a CT scan I received a month ago. None of the staff in front could explain except to call billing. I'm well versed in EOBs and insurance billing and my insurance doesn't require I pay upfront as I should be billed. This helps to avoid me overpaying and then having to ask for my money back. I was then told to pay and get the scan or reschedule, yes those exact words. Then the bathroom lock was was inoperable in the front area. I was called back and told to wear shorts and carry my pants and bra. Nothing offered to put my clothes in. Then after my scan, I was told to change back into my clothes there in the CT room. The facility was old, outdated, and seemed bare bones on medical quality. The only positive is the person that did the scan was friendly, sadly I can't say that about anyone else in your facility. I provided the feedback to my referring doctor's office and their response was, was it the one in Apache Junction? So they even are aware about the negatives of your facility. read more

I have some issues and want my test and X-rays done by the best. Everyone is so friendly and professional. The staff is super nice and will go out of their way to accommodate you. Go in for scan pay what they asked to pay then later get a bill for more cash. Was not told there would be more payment. Contact the billing dept. And they tell me I had two procedures. I only went for one. They didn't even tell me what they were doing. Also they ruined my shirt with the goop they put on me. read more

AZ Tech Radiology is very unprofessional. I had to get a CT scan of my lower back and i showed up an hour early i still didnt get seen until 10 mins after my appoinment ...which is not terrible but while im sitting in the waiting room the two secretaries i guess they were ...were worried about getting their Red Bulls and one left to get them. The other one was talking to loudly about a cutomer a out how much he owed and the fact that they could not see him if he didnt pay half of his 130$ bill.....patient confidentiality didnt seem to be a priority at this place. They aere on their cell phones and talking loudly about non work things. Doesnt make me feel like i will be getting privacy here....i imagine them talking about us behined out backs...thats the vibe this place gives. read more

I think all of the locations of the AZDR drop the ball on educating on Breast Health. There are no pamphlets to educate on the mutations or the genes. This kind of health is needed. It's TOO LATE when you already get the diagnoses. Unfortunately, explaining what you have is too late and feel cheated not knowing about this when I got my first Mamm! Fibrocystic Breast Disease.. They fail to educate on this. I feel this is their field to explain, educate since they give mammograms and not the doctor! They could at least have pamphlets available or on their website. GENETIC TESTING=This should be offered at the very first mammogram that a female gets. It's TOO LATE when there is a diagnoses of cancer. One thing that needs to change is that women should not be treated as being deaf and dumb. It would be nice to speak to us when you've been away too long then you come back, then an explanation should be given. When you say, I need you to move over here, EXPLAIN WHY! When I've gone in, there is NO to NONE explanation of why there is another test, why I have to move to another area!! This is aggravating!! We're not dumb=Explain why we're moving to another table or to another room! Explain the next procedure and WHY it's being done!! HER2 POSITIVE GENE=25% of cancers are this type. There needs to be pamphlets or information on their website since they do MAMMS! read more

This review is for the AZ Diagnostic Radiology facility in Apache Junction. I am impressed that the facility is nice, neat, and clean, including the restrooms. Believe it or not, some medical facilities overlook this aspect of cleanliness! The staff here make the patient's experience a less stressful one. Everyone I've dealt with here over the last year is nice, and this is especially true of most of the technicians that perform the procedures. They display professionalism, but also a kind & caring attitude, which is very comforting. The front office staff are nice, but a few of them could benefit from acting in a more professional manner. However, Lorraine Heiselman, one of the receptionists, is exceptional. She is OUTSTANDING!!! It turns out that the scheduling department had set me up at the wrong office location. And I had inadvertently left the doctor's order at home. I was stressed out and near tears. But Lorraine spent almost a half-hour working hard to get matters straightened out for me. She did everything to make sure that I was accomodated that day. She called my doctor's office and requested a verbal authorization, then waited patiently on hold while my doctor's office acquired the authorization. What a relief! She did a world of good in decreasing my anxiety & stress level. Lorraine went over & beyond, and was calm and professional the entire time. When I thanked her profusely after the procedure was done, she was SO humble. She said it was her pleasure and that she was simply carrying out her job. But there was nothing simple about it. She jumped through a series of hoops to assist me, and I can't express my thanks to her enough. Such a lovely woman! I just wish that more in the medical profession were like her. read more

I have been to 2 locations X rays and MRI in Maricopa and MAMMO in Awatukie bor places were efficient and the people were very nice. If I have anything negative to say it is that there is not the privacy I have come to expect when walking from the dressing area to the MRI room. The people in the waiting area can watch you (in your very attractive well fitting gown) go into the MRI room. A screen of some kind would be nice. read more

I gave this company a second chance after a billing error. Well, I made a mistake doing that. Their systems were all down, and it cost me extra time and frustration for phone calls and testing. I forgave that too: and shouldn't have. It took months to receive the bill, and you guessed it, a collection notice threat followed soon after. I have a policy to fire any company who threatens me with collections--especially on the second statement! I do pay on the 2nd statement, unlike some people who make a great living out of not paying bills: ever! My suggestion is that with all their mistakes, don't become part of their errors. Still try to hire locally, not corporately. Just don't hire AZtech radiology. read more

I had an MRI done today for my shoulder and didn't have any issues. The staff was very professional and I was in and out in no time.

I was in a bad accident and had to come to this facility for multiple x-rays and the works! I have been through many places silimiar but none like this. The staff were the nicest around, what they do is so unique compared to other places. Most of the time you'll go in and sit in with strangers and it's cold, quite and you normally feel uneasy. BUT AZ-TECH is different in the best of ways. Their staff are so relatable to actual people and make it feel lively and warm. The girls up front made sure I was checked in and was ready for my turn and actually had a conversation about me and not my injurys ( helped to laugh when I been in such pain). Even when I was sitting in the waiting area just hearing them talk about their lifes and banter made me smile knowning these are actual care givers. 10/10 would come back any time. My wife has severe agoraphobia and possibly diagnosed with COVID-19. her oxygen has been bouncing between 88 and 90 so you can see how breathing is a severe issue coupled with her extreme anxiety, it made it super difficult to walk let alone "regular speed" to the back of the building. The Radiologist that was over seeing her images was so impatient and short, annoyed with her, taking her time. He never said hello or have a nice day just irritated at her for not moving fast enough despite her saying she was going to pass out. he never offered a wheel chair or even make her feel comfortable. He may not think about it now, but the wife is so traumatized she was in tears and now she won't even leave the house again for a while. (this was the first time she's been out of the house in months). Again the women at the front desk were amazing but the bald specialist was unprofessional and a jerk. Why work in a field where patience rely on you for comfort if you act like you hate people. I would give it zero stars but the front desk staff don't deserve that they were awesome. I'm sorry that this man was an extension of your business bringing you down. Advice, ditch him before he ruins someone else's life. read more

Used to be good & efficient. Not sure what happened. Had 3 ultrasound appointments cancelled, with no reason given. When I called to ask why, the person on the phone could not tell me. Came in to get all my films to take to a new place, waited for 7-10 minutes while poor gal at counter struggled with the client in front of me. 3 people in back room just shooting the breeze! Finally one comes up when there are 4 of us waiting, and she takes the lady who just walks in. I don't recommend this AJ location till the help gets customer service training, new management, who knows???!! read more

I was a drop in, fill in,..requested by my doctor. For urgency. This woman scared me, and refused me and I left crying. I called my doctor and he made me an appointment elsewhere. One mammogram 4 visits...enough said. The first time they couldn't get the right views so I had to come back. The second trip I waited for over an hour because the machine wasn't working and had to reschedule. Third trip had the mammogram and an ultrasound thought I was done, the radiologist said everything looked good then 2 weeks later I get a call saying they need another view. So here we go with my 4th trip the whole time being told nothing is wrong this is all just routine! Not to mention that on my 3rd visit I was made to wait in a patient waiting area wearing a hospital gown all the while a older man was waiting in the same area, I had to sit with my arm folded across my chest and was very uncomfortable. read more

My wife had what we thought was one MRI. While she was in having the MRI, I paid the clerk at the front desk the co-payment I was told by the person I contacted at Az-Tech Radiology before my wife's MRI. To my amazement when we received the bill, we were charged for 2 MRI's, and my wife's insurance company was billed for 2 MRI's. Also, on the bill, the payment made was incorrectly stated. We Made several attempts to contact billing, only to be told they are busy or not there and would have to call us back. Never received a call. Then comes a collection letter. Contacted them and told them the amount was incorrect, sent them a copy of our receipt, and asked them to contact AZ-Tech Radiology and get it corrected, as they would not return my calls. Finally, after months we have a corrected bill and we paid it. The personnel at the front desk and the billing staff need some customer service training. As for the tech he was great. read more

Just had the worst ultrasound ever. She kept asking me to hold my breath and never told me when I could breath causing me to get dizzy and out of breath. When I asked her to tell me when it's OK to breath, she said, " oh, you can breath when you want." Um, no! You asking me not too. Then, she asked me to roll over to my other side with gell still all over my side. When I asked her to hand me something to whipe it off with, she gave me 2 paper towels. Well, that didn't help. So after I was done, I got up and had paper stuck all over me and help all over my clothes. When I asked for soothing more to clean it off, she handed me 2 more paper towels. She had do bed side manor at all. And, some student sitting in the corner reading and chiming in with unhelpful information like, "we get this stuff all over all the time." She said. Besides coming hear for a possible life threatening result, I didn't need the extra issues that are very avoidable. I'll have several more tests done and I can't travel far. Next time, I'll be removing my clothes and bringing my own towels. Il read more
