I've seen some really nasty reviews for this place here. AI suggested I see Google reviews instead, where this place looked good. I had to reschedule two times. My bad. I was connected to a human w/in 30 seconds each time w/o navigating a five minute phone tree. The call took a little longer than I felt was necessary, but the women on the line were professional, thorough and competent. Front desk staff was not only professional and competent, they were smiles all around. How nice was that? Not sure these reviews are useful. I mean getting imaging is not a pleasant process at any time!!!! Anyway, went in for MRI with appointment and referral from my Ortho. Glad I had an appointment. This is a very popular "walk-in" location and they've got a large waiting room with more chairs strung out down the hallway. Given how long the average imaging appt lasts, you could be waiting for a really long time. I was called back for prep a few minutes before my scheduled appt. Def get there early. You've got to completely disrobe and change into their goofy stuff that includes one of those smocks that ties in the back. Such a stupid design, because no one can tie that thing up in back . They have a couple lockers to put your personal stuff in, then you sit and wait outside changing rooms before they come get you and walk you to another area just outside MRI room where you wait again. It's a well run conveyor belt. Lady in front of me came out and in I went. Kudos to the techs and MRI operator for helping me get comfortable on the table. Not an easy feat given my height and shoulder width. Fortunately whole process inside the tube only took about 15 minutes. Next patient was cued up as I left to get redressed. The quality of care was as good as you could expect for this kinda place. I had a tech and a newbie learning the ropes shepherding from area to area. read more

Banner Imaging in general. I first went to the Banner Imaging on Gilbert Rd. For my appointment in early March. I took off work for this appointment. I get there and they tell me the tech called out. Ok stuff happens. I rescheduled for March 24th at the Banner imaging on Broadway East Mesa. Again I take off work to go and again I get there and now they tell me the machine won't turn on and they can reschedule me. That's twice now. I won't be using Banner again. Very poor service. read more

Broadway and power has most unprofessional people I've seen in medical field. Manager of the site has zero skills in managing people. I asked for a female tech for my tests, was assured I would, arrived, changed into gown, man said he was the tech, I said there's a mistake I have a female. He took this as a personal attack, told me no, he's the tech. Yelled at me, "Banner doesn't descriminate"! I said, I do! I asked for a female. Canceled my apps and was told Manager would call, she did and rescheduled for next day with female techs. Went in, man called my name, said I'm Joe, I'll provide scan. I said, no, I have a female, he said, "oh, you're the one!" I said yes, I'm the one. Horrific experience, never go to banner! On December 7th I called Banner and scheduled a MRI to take place on January 13th of the following year. They had from December 7th on to check with my appointment to get insurance authorization. On the 10th of January they called my insurance company who responded back on the 13th within 48 hours unfortunately not in time for banner to provide me with the service of the MRI therefore putting my life in jeopardy for the operation I was supposed to have the following 48 hours. That operation had been put off so far down the line because when we called on December 7th there were so many appointments the earliest they could get me and was January 13th. Now the fact that they took the all that time and did nothing until January 10th to contact my insurance company therefore causing my insurance company to give authorization but too late for me to get the MRI that was scheduled in the 13th my operation has been canceled. Banner imaging basically put my life at risk and my chances of now having a successful operation and saving my life have been reduced by over 60% because of their incompetence. If you have a broken arm or maybe a broken finger Banner may be a choice but for any real medical situation that requires intense attention by a medical staff do not by any shape or form ever used Banner because they're unreliable and they have absolutely no compassion for their clients. Fact is they may have killed me! read more

This facility is always on time (or within a few minutes of the appt.) and runs like a well oiled machine. The employees are great too! I hadn't been here for a few years and it was nice to see the standards haven't changed. Back in 2009, I used to have to bring my father who had dementia and cancer to this location quite often. Again, they were almost always on time and treated him with respect and dignity. In the world we live in today, it's nice to see at least one business get it right! Mr. P needed a closed MRI. Making an appointment was completed with a little phone tag. Getting booked with the insurance approval was a bit hectic, but luckily, Mr. P had received a copy of the paper that happened to have magic authorization codes that they needed and couldn't get from the doc. But I digress. The office was in a shared medical building. The halls of the entire facility were lined with chairs, presumably to keep everyone outside of the offices to keep illness/COVID at bay. But the chairs were right on top of each other and there were no mask or sanitizer stations, so I could be wrong. He was asked to be there at 0630 for an 0700 MRI. Only when we got there, they were closed...until 0700. So we just sat there, as other people arrived for their tests as well. We all know those folks who don't follow the "you got here before me" unspoken rule, who wait outside the doors pacing with bated breath! You know who you are!!! But the staff was very friendly, and completed Mr. P's MRI quickly. He was then provided his disk, and we were on our way to breakfast in no time. Smooth workings at this facility. Not my favorite Imaging place but isn't Simon Med and I'll do just about anything to avoid going to a Simon Med. Front office Staff is hit and miss on the friendly meter but the people in the back who do my MRI's are always quite professional and friendly, they seem to really understand that if you're coming for an MRI you're probably dealing with some stuff and that's the most important thing. I personally have never had an issue with anything with banner imaging when the insurance has had weird things they've called me beforehand but there's never been surprises when I've walked in so that's always great for me as it's not always the case. read more

Yesterday my doctor ordered a chest xray and suggested I go to the Simon Med on Southern in Mesa. I walk in to see a long line of customers waiting for assistance from the ONE desk clerk. Upon handing her my doctors order she said it would be a minimum of an hour before they could do the xray. I chose not to stay. I came home called Banner Imaging on Broadway in Mesa. They booked me for the next morning at 1120.with a checkin.time of 1100. At 1100 the clerk checked me in and at 1120 my xray was done. Thank you Banner Imaging for doing such a fantastic job. I went to Banner Imaging East Mesa because my doctor recommended them. I scheduled a follow-up MRI for comparison to one I'd had 6 months earlier. I took the earlier MRI imaging (on a CD) with me, along with the interpretation, and told them I needed them to copy both and return them to me. They explained that their CD reader was not working, and they'd have to forward the CD to corporate for copying, and then they'd notify me, and get the originals back to me. I got the interpretation of the imagine done by Banner, but they had failed to compare with the earlier MRI, so there was no mention of whether a change had occurred or not. And this was the critical piece of information I was seeking. I contacted a supervisor, and succeeded in getting a second interpretation that included looking at the changes. But I have never received back my originals, nor a promised copy of the current MRI. And now, Banner won't even answer my emails. When one has life threatening issues, one needs to be able to rely on the imaging service they use to be competent and responsive. This was not the case in my experience. Your mileage may vary, but I will never use Banner Imaging again! read more

It has been two weeks since my knee x-ray at this facility and neither I nor my doctor have received a report on the x-ray. In the meantime, I am in pain and nobody seems to care. Over two weeks is an unacceptable time for x-ray results. I will not go to Banner again. read more

Went to get an MRI.friendly staff helped my wife who is afraid of small spaces. Was able to do her knee without installing fully in tube ,was able to go feet first leaving her head out. She did it no problem Also was able to get copy of test asap. read more

Went in for preventive annual mammogram and the front office was completely incompetent. My dr sent over the order twice. The front desk still couldn't get it right so entered me as a walk in. My insurance wouldn't pay because it wasn't coded correctly and when I called Banner to dispute the $870 bill I was on hold for 1.5 hours, transferred repeatedly and ultimately disconnected. read more

During a recent mammogram, Banner Imaging injured a muscle near my shoulder (armpit area). I heard a pop during the exam and woke up the next day with a non-functioning arm. I spoke to the office manager who put me in touch with risk management. I had to pay for my own MRI because insurance wouldn't cover it. All I asked was they pay my $100 copay for an MRI. 3.5 months later it still hurts and I avoid using that arm. Banner denied my claim and is not taking responsibility for my injury or costs. Be careful of Banner Imaging. I have never had an issue with my shoulder before visiting them. I will not be using them again and I recommend you think hard before visiting them. read more

Worst experience ever! After being rescheduled multiple by Banner scheduling I was finally able to get an appt at this location. After driving 30 minutes to this location( because Banner told this location was the only facility who could perform my specific MRI) is was checked in and told to gown up. I was then taken to the back an IV was administered. After another 30 minute wait the MRI technician came out and informed me they did not have the equipment to conduct my test. Then removed the IV and told me I would need to find another location and sen me on my way. After multiple reschedules one would hope Banner would know what their capabilities are! Banner has lost my trust and faith in them FOREVER read more

I'd give them a zero but I can't. They scheduled me a day before me appointment at 7:15pm, the day and time comes we arrived and go to check in.. they tell us that our appointment was canceled at 11:15 am due to a no show. We got zero calls prior to our appointment. The lady at the front explained that it wasn't them and then called up the MRI lady to try to get us in but we were turned down. So after driving 20min to our appointment that was suppose to be at 7:15pm we find out some idiot cancelled our appointment without warning or even giving us a call. No one would take responsibility for this bull*$+% obvious mistake on their end to not even call us. I'm thinking they thought our appointment was in the am but even if it was they should have called us and we could of cleared the air. Where I'm mad is the fact that they cancelled due to a no show when we weren't suppose to show until 6:45pm to check in. At least take responsibility for your mistakes and accommodate for it. Banner Imaging is fraudulently charging patients for services. They overcharged me twice for imaging services on 6/30 charged me $53.00 for an X-ray where my EOB said Patient Responsibility was to be $17.17. On 7/17/2023 I went in for an Ultrasound and was charged $150 when EOB said my patient Responsibility was $31.70. How they can over charge so eggregioulsy is beyond me. I have been told when overcharges occur I would be refunded back to the card on file within 30 business days. However, instead they applied my over charge from DOS 6/30/2023 ($31.70 to my Ultrasound on 7/17/2023, even though I already paid $150 for that procedure) leaving me with an overpayment on on the DOS 6/30/2023 X-Ray of $6.06. They have not paid me back the $6.06 overpayment from the 6/30/2023 visit even though that is noted on the system as an overpayment and then they have not applied my $150 payment to anything, it is just floating in their system unapplied which means they cannot (until it is applied to a date of service) issue a refund to me. I have been told they are behind in applying payments to call back by 8/28/2023 to see if it has been applied. If it has (which I am almost certain it wont be applied) then they can issue the refund which will take up to 30 days. So essentially DO NOT PAY A DIME IN ADVANCE TO BANNER HEALTH FOR ANY SERVICE. Request to be billed, wait for your EOB to come back and ONLY PAY WHAT INSURANCE SAYS YOU OWE. BANNER IS RIPPING OFF PATIENTS AND STEALING THEIR MONEY AND HIDING BEHIND INEFFICIENT BILLING PRACTICES AND FAILURE TO RUN INSURANCE AT TIME OF SERVICE. read more

I have had several mri over the past few years. Banner Imaging is by far the best. The mri equipment is up to date. The office staff is helpful and friendly. The assistants are also helpful and friendly. The entire complex is clean and well maintained. I was called before my appointment time. Ban art Imaging will be my "go to" place for mri, from now on! read more
