Wow talk about no customer service at the front desk and this whole facility! I understand we all wear face mask but speaking up and the tone of voice can make a difference. The technicians coming out to get the patient no warmth greeting or greeting at all. Let's not forget the wait time, my appt was at 11:15 asked to arrive by 11:00 to check in an hour later I was called in. And so they just respond with the message as if someone is going to take matters into their hands because of your legitimate complains. Do not use this place or Simonmed. I will never use Simonmed again for my imaging needs. Believe my review and the others that have given poor ratings. Don't buy the response message from these people who tell you who to contact. I've had a few MRI/CT scan sessions at Simon Med between 2021 & 2022, so today was not my first time at the "rodeo" as far as this process. Prior to today, my most recent MRI/CT scan was done at the 3rd St & Thomas location (using one of the SAME newer/larger/faster machines). I've already spoken with corporate at this point (hours ago), but I'm deciding to share the experience on here as I ABSOLUTELY would have avoided this location had I read about an experience that was even REMOTELY close to what I experienced during todays visit. I'll just get right to it & say that the guy who ran my scans today (Brian) was EXTREMELY rude & quite possibly racist. Not sure what he had going on, but his attitude was off ever since he came out to the lobby to bring me back for the session. From the very beginning of today's visit all the way until the very end, his tone was VERY short, his demeanor was VERY nasty (which was UNACCEPTABLE), & having a "bad day" certainly wouldn't be an excuse for his behavior as my appointment was literally scheduled first thing in the morning. He never gave me a hospital gown prior to going into the machine (which was something I promptly received during ALL of my previous visits), & he just treated me differently than I was treated during my previous visits to other Simon Med locations (2830 N 3rd Street & 2141 E Camelback Rd). He didn't do the whole "How are you doing in there? Are you feeling ok?" thing at all during my scans (which they did at BOTH of the other locations), he lacked any level of compassion whatsoever & he was VERY rough/aggressive. Upon entering the scanning room (with ALL clothes on, since he never bothered to offer me a hospital gown [as stated]), Brian's actions confirmed just how uninterested he was in providing me with the same level of service that he would provide to other patients. He stood there asking me questions that I had already answered via the online check-in form AND on the order that my doctor would have submitted. As I took my shoes off before entering the machine, he roughly KICKED both shoes under the table as if he was purposely trying to scuff them. When I SLOWLY raised my arm (at HIS request) so he could administer the IV, he LURCHED away from me as if an alligator was attacking him. He only gave me the emergency "clicker" after I asked him for it, & throughout the session, he kept stopping & telling me there was "too much movement" when I was literally immobilized in a "Saw trap-like" head device that prevented me "moving" hardly AT ALL (outside of BREATHING & natural swallowing reflexes that any normal human would make [even WITHOUT bilateral Bell's Palsy & SEVERAL previous throat surgeries]). Let me be 100% clear in saying that I did NOTHING different between my previous visit & this visit & I had NO issues during prior visits, yet this guy kept saying there was "too much movement" & was just making the (ALREADY stressful) process of scanning for two possible tumors so much more difficult than it needed to be. As stated, this was NOT my first time at the "rodeo" & this was the SAME type of device/machine used during prior visits. God-forbid if a child ever had to deal with this guy, as he was asking me to do things that most ADULTS can't even do (unless they're just laying there DEAD). I literally had to stop & say "Brian, I DONT KNOW HOW LONG YOU'VE BEEN DOING THIS, but I'm literally laying in this machine breathing" as he apparently expects people to get in this machine & hold their breath for 30+ minutes. Altogether, Brian's behavior took what should have been a SIMPLE process (which I purposely scheduled FIRST THING IN THE MORNING [before heading to work]) & turned it into a complete nightmare. It truly saddens me to see Brian's name in other 1-star Yelp reviews for this location (dating back SEVERAL years), as it seems that Simon Med doesn't care about how poorly he treats patients of a certain demographic & Simon SURELY would have replaced him by now if they cared. As a result of all the above, I will ensure that I stick with the Thomas Rd. location or ANY location other than this one after what I endured today, & it's sad that I even have to go to this extent as this is the closest Simon Med location to my home. Regardless, I'll GLADLY make that sacrifice just to avoid a repeat of what I experienced today, & the fact that I'm willing to drive THREE TIMES the distance (with gas at $6 /gal) just to avoid being subjected to this level of ignorance/incompetence/racism again should give you an idea of just how bad it was. Based on my own observation, I highly doubt that Simon Med will make any adjustments at this location or take any action, but hopefully my little review will at least encourage SOMEONE to skip this location & AVOID being subjected to what I was subjected to this morning. Brian's behavior was unacceptable in every sense of the word, & he makes this entire company look bad. This location has 2 stars for a reason. read more

They called me 30 minutes before my appointment (that was booked for 2 weeks), to let me know that 2 of my 3 scans were denied by my insurance. We're in the midst of a pandemic and they had complete lack of social distancing in the waiting room. Packed in like sardines. Facility appeared to be quite dirty. They were my only choice for a referral from my doctor and they must know they have you cornered. Their automated system will keep you on hold for up to 45 minutes and then hang up on you. If you book online you get a text confirmation. That confirmation is not real. I showed up at the time and place it told me and they said they were to call and confirm. Of course they didn't. Do not use this company or location. Ask your doctor to give a different place if you can. read more

Had a horrible experience today at SimonMed in the Biltmore Fashion Park. The facility was extremely dirty, staff was rude and unhelpful, and the ultrasound technician made me feel very uncomfortable. You could also easily hear doctor/patient conversations from the lobby area. This office needs a wake-up call as a medical office should not be dirty in general, let alone during a pandemic. I am discouraged that I was unable to obtain the tests that I needed because of poor communication between the staff and how they made me feel in their facility. read more

Simon med has been a nightmare. I made an appointment for a diagnostic mammogram and ultra sound for a mass. Was able to get in quickly however, was sent to the wrong location. Was told I needed to go to biltmore. Arrived at biltmore they had pushed my appointment back because of the misinformation given to me. Filled paperwork signed in everything was going well until the receptionist calls me over and tells me am at the wrong location yet again. I said well you guys just told me she pushed my appointment so I could get it done. Then the receptionist tells me well you're at the wrong location and she is running behind so we need to reschedule you. Excuse me? I walked out. Called scheduling again they had the gall to tell me next available would be a month out! I could be dead by then! Needless to say I am no longer going to Simon med after going to them for literally years and never had an issue. It is no longer the same company it was before. My requisition for these procedures were faxed twice to them from my doctor's office and they still couldn't find the requisition. That alone should of been my first clue on how inept they are at scheduling and their receptionist are just as bad. Go somewhere else if you want to avoid a nightmare. read more

TERRIBLE PLACE!!! If I could give a 0 star I would. I was scheduled an X-ray for 4:55pm. I arrive and the girl at the desk tells me they can't do my appointment because they're not able to do X-rays after 4 o'clock? Which I think it's an excuse for something. The same girl schedules me for the next day at 3:45pm. I go back during my lunch from work and another girl tells me that the lady doing running the X-ray is in a meeting and I would have to wait 40 mins because other walk-ins are ahead of me when I have an appointment. What's the point of having apportionment scheduled when the technician has a "meeting" and they let walk ins go ahead of you. Not only that they schedule me for another Simon med closer to my house and they schedule for the wrong date. Terrible receptionists and terrible customer service. read more

Here for MRI and X-ray. Girl at front desk was super friendly. The phones and computers were down and she was handling the chaos pretty well. Some dude named Brian came out and freaked out about HIPPA violations and told her that she could go to jail (she was checking on my co-pay, with me present, and with my consent). He was super unprofessional about it. Should have pulled her aside if he wanted to talk instead of threatening that she could go to jail. He was very efficient doing the MRI though. X-ray guy was also very nice. Later a super difficult patient came in and the staff were so professional and patient with him. Overall a good office. read more

2 apts. 2 days of sick time schedules. 1st apt - we double booked you. Please reschedule. 2nd apt - we booked the wrong tests...please reschedule. Based on the types of images I need I cannot go during a weekend. They offered no solution and if I go to another vendor for images I still have to take that third day sick to do these images. No resolution no solution no creative problem solving. Just little old me out 24 hours of sick leave time because of missmanagement with their intake. read more

This is a terrible place. The scheduler first scheduled my procedure on the wrong day. I rescheduled and it was canceled. I rescheduled again and it was canceled the day before. So after three months, I still have not had my procedure. Unbelievable that a medical facility can be so impossible to deal with. I made an appointment and was asked to arrive 15 minutes early. I arrived 25 minutes early and checked in. After waiting for an hour and watching dozens of people come and go, I asked if I had been forgotten. I was told that 3 walk-ins were ahead of me!! How ridiculous!! Why have an appointment?? How stupid is this? After discussing with Simonmed personnel it was determined that the best thing to do was walk in somewhere. What a pain in the ass, rude, and non-service oriented system. What dolts run this place!? Find another imaging service...do not recommend. What a waste of time. In case you couldn't tell, I'm pissed off big time. Avoid this place like the plague! I never even made it in for the imaging that was ordered by my doc. After my doctor's office faxed them a referral I heard nothing. So I called - after 5 days. They insisted they never got a referral. I watched staff at my doctor's office fax it. Thankfully I had a hard copy. First phone call got disconnected within about 5 minutes. Called back and got a different operator. Start all over again. What a dismal experience. This person was not familiar with much it seemed. First we had a 10 minute discussion about the parameters of my imaging. And an argument because the staff person was not familiar with any aspect of the test or the referral form. Next were some options that should have been at my prerogative but were denied out of hand. When I asked the reason I was told that I can't have it, staff doesn't know why, and was unwilling to find out why. Then we had a discussion and argument about my doctor who they insisted did not exist. Another 10 or 15 minutes to find him. So now I'm done with them. They're not the only imaging company in the valley. I would give them zero stars if I could. My advice: go somewhere, anywhere else! read more

If I could rate a negative score I would! I have a medical exemption for masks-You would think a medical establishment would recognize this. Upon entry they treated me like a lepper, they were angry I was not masked up, they put me in a dressing room with drape closed FOR TWO HOURS (no one by the way was in the waiting room) and then the MRI tech was a joke. He was unfriendly and also treated me like a lepper. Once done, I was escorted out of a back door since I was so unlclean. The wait time total was over 2 hours and I never saw anyone in the building, but then again, they stashed me away in a corner. Ridiculous!!!! Terrible management and front desk lady. I'm giving 2 stars as my previous visit was fairly seamless. I received a call regarding my prescription needing to be upgraded to a diagnostic mammo rather than a screening mammo. They contacted my doctor to do so. I showed up today for my appointment and was informed my insurance does not cover a diagnostic mammo and I need to pay $600. I found this unacceptable as I had a script for a screening mammo, they changed it to diagnostic and never mentioned it wouldn't be covered by insurance. I also did not appreciate the front desk person smirking rather than not apologizing for this mishap. I'm headed to Valley Radiology. read more

I was overall pleased with my experience here. I had two technicians running my ultrasound and they were both very thorough and very understanding of the anxiety I had given the nature of my appointment. The waiting room was well-decorated and kind of what you'd expect from something at the Biltmore. The only bad part of my experience was actually finding the location. Google Maps had the completely wrong area highlighted on the map. I ended up walking through the whole Biltmore in 108 degree heat with a swollen, painful leg and was not very happy about that. For anyone who might be reading this, there's an exterior entrance on the northwest corner of the complex. You don't need to enter the Biltmore shopping mall itself. read more

I went to have a mammogram in December and when I entered the building, almost all of the chairs were full. It was a packed house. Seeing as they are a medical provider, you would think they would observe Covid protocols. The gal at the front desk was completely inept. When I asked if I could sit somewhere else, she sent me back to the mammogram area. I was still completing my paperwork and so when the technician called me back, I took the paperwork with me. She was completely befuddled and bothered because I "wasn't in the system." She asked me how much past my appointment time it was and I told her 40 minutes and she said, "oh that's good, that's our usual." What?!?!? I was completely uncertain if I would even get my results. I hope to never return to this location and if I'd seen they only had 2.5 starts before I went, I probably wouldn't have gone! read more

This place, un£u×+ing believable with the bait and switch crap. I made an appointment thankfully far far in advance. And thankfully again was not able to go to my appoinment for an MRI which I was never told at any point in time what the co-pay was going to be. They said when i made the appointment 3 weeks earlier that someone would call me, they never did. Then when i called to cancel i inquired as to what the payment would be... $300+ This week i get a letter from Aetna dated TEN days earlier than what my appointment would have been telling me the procedure would not be covered. I called THIS PLACE after reading the letter and inquired as to the amount of the procedure THIS TIME and was quoted $700+ this time. read more

I loved this place! They were mostly organized but the staff really made this visit great. Pro- the gentleman working the front desk was very helpful and sweet. He talked with emtion and inflection in his voice which seemed genuine. The young blond that helped me lock up my atuff double checked my paperwork to ensure they took any medical conditions into consideration. Quite literally one of the absolute worst medical experiences I've had. I was scheduled at a different Simon Med for an appointment at 3:30 pm, I was called an hour before my appointment and told they were running 4 hours behind and had to move me to this location for my MRI at 6:30 PM. I asked if I would still be able to complete my X-rays at this time and they said yes. Well I get to my appointment and the incredibly rude front desk representative tells me no they cannot preform my X-rays since their tech leaves at 4 pm, and they then also told me they were running 30 mins behind. I sat for an extra hour after being told that. Now my results still have not been read or processed and it has been days since I called and they told me the radiologist was actively reading them. This place is a total mess and I will never be coming back here for any medical imaging. Do yourselves a favor and go anywhere else in the valley for medical imaging. read more

Love this new location. It's really new and clean and everything but its the staff that makes it awesome. Nathan and Kelly at the front are so nice and friendly AND efficient! Joanna does my MRIs and she is the best I have ever had. I always have to have long ones (2+ hours) and she takes great care to make sure I'm comfortable and communicates with me the whole time. I came in 15 mins prior to my appt and stood quietly waiting to be acknowledged. There was a gentleman chit chatting, which is great, but i stood for over 5 mins. I decided to sit. After 10 mins, the two girls at the front desk commented to each other that i still needed to check in and asked me to come up. I then said good afternoon and let then know i was kind of offended i still hadn't been acknowledged. One girl apologized, but the other immediately rolled her eyes and quietly took my id and gave me paper work. Will not return there read more

I was a patient at DVR for my mammography and bone density for over 10 years. Had some real screw ups and know that they were going under financially. Simon Med must have aligned themselves to take over for DVR. They found my records of the past and took care of me quickly in a clean, modern, professional/friendly setting. I SAT THERE FOR AN HOUR AND THEY SKIPPED MY APPOINTMENT FOR SOMEONE WHO WON AN MRI SCAN (NON-MEDICAL ISSUE!)!!! I scheduled my MRI because I am having painful back problems. I have an order from a doctor and pre-approval from my insurance company. I showed up 20 minutes early as requested to fill out the necessary paperwork. I paid my co-pay then sat to wait my turn. While I am waiting, another woman comes in and she asks the people around her what an MRI is like because she WON one and is getting it today. Well, it's now 30 minutes past my scheduled 4pm appointment time and a tech finally comes out and calls HER back before me! WTF? I went up to the desk and asked what was going on because my appointment was at 4pm. They didn't know how to answer. I stood there and waited while they dealt with an extremely rude older woman with her "service dog" (I have worked with dogs and that was NOT a service dog BTW). Finally, the one lady gets on her cell phone and walks away for a second. She then comes back and says she was speaking to the manager and the manager told her that "those scans take priority over other appointments" and also the tech was running 30 minutes behind so I just got skipped. I am not blaming the ladies at the front desk because I know it wasn't their fault and they were apologetic and asked if I wanted to wait another 45 minutes or reschedule. I rescheduled for Monday at 7pm and hope that I don't have more issues when I get there. I usually have a positive experience at this location and am disappointed with what happened today. read more

This is by far the worst medical imaging place I have ever been too! I would highly recommend not scheduling at this location. My first time, they took me two hours after my scheduled appointment time. I decided to give them a second chance and brought my daughter here for an MRI. Bad decision as it is one hour and fifteen minutes past our scheduled appointment time and we still have not been called back. I will never be back!!! read more

I was referred to this location to get an MRI done and found the staff to be rather rude when I asked them very simple questions. After my visit, I called and asked for them to put my images on a disc for my doctor to view and when I came to get it the next week, they hadn't even begun to put my information on the disc. I had to return a few days later, which would've been a major issue if it prevented me from having the images at my doctor's appointment. Lastly, when I did receive the disc, they incorrectly labeled the location on my body that the images were taken, which is another major issue. Overall, I would not recommend SimonMed or use their services again. read more

When it finally came to my appointment my technician was incredibly off putting and clearly unhappy with her job. Now I am trying to get an itemized receipt for my insurance, which is a common request but evidently incredibly difficult for Simon Med to provide. Once I got in to do the CT scan , it was great. The service, the professionalism, the efficiency, it was all there. Hi It was a different situation until then. It took forever to get the appointment. Fortunately, OneCall stepped in to troubleshoot why Simon Med didn't have any record of me. It turned out that my birthdate was wrong. The people I spoke to at Simon Med couldn't be bothered, AND they were rude. They asked if I was sure I was supposed to be calling Simon Med. "maybe you were supposed to call another company"? WHAT!!!!!!!!!! The bad service only got worse. My appointment was Friday at Camelback and 25th Street at 8:00am. I got the text message. It said to arrive 15 minutes early. I asked my husband to drive me because my migraines are bad. We got there at 7:33am. The technician told me she'd help me because the receptionist wasn't there yet. So, I wasn't expecting her to know what to do to get me signed in for the appointment. But, she was eating and smacking her food the whole time she talked to me. Really?? I was the only one there. She couldn't wait a few minutes to eat? Apparently, she's so busy at 7:33am that she can't stop smacking her food to help me. It was so irritating. Then, the next slap was she told me the CT Scan tech wasn't there this morning, but would be there by the afternoon. I didn't get a "sorry for the inconvenience". I got instead instructions to fast for 4 hours. I explained that I'm a diabetic on 70/30 mixed insulin, which means I have to eat every 4 hours. I tried to tell her what I was worried about, but she said, "I don't know. It's what the radiologist from our other location told me." Then, without missing a smacking chew said to another customer who had just walked in,"How can I help you?" Except for the actual receptionist and the tech guy, your personnel were rude, inefficient, distracted, unintelligent, lazy, and helpless. I'm glad I am not your owner; I would be embarrassed. Do NOT use this service if you don't have an appointment. Do NOT use it for XRays. Do NOT use it at all-worst service ever...unless you have hal;f a day to waste and appreciate deliberate rudeness. I had been waiting over an hour for a one minute xray when another lady who was there before me approached the receptionist and asked why others kept getting called for XRays and MRIs before her, and she'd been there an hour and a half. The Receptionist Champagne rudely told her it wasn't her turn, but she would "put her form in the system".... Champagne had not even put her in the queue! At this point, someone else from back finally showed up and they were rude to the lady, who finally left. They then all laughed and joked about the poor woman, like she did something wrong! So I directly asked the other woman if my form had evenm been added to the queue...and it wasn't! They put iit in, then I waited another 20 minutes. Champagne had been deliberately holding us out of the queue so we werent even in their system. We were both caucasian, she wasn't. No clue if that was related, but for a space of time, it sure felt like it. And finally-when I called and talked to their Corporate office, they never even bothered to call me back.
