It took me 30 minutes to make an appointment. Apparently their computer system was having issues. I made my appointment for 8:30 . I arrived early for my appointment, but found out without asking me, they changed my appointment time to 8:15. Bc of this, according to them I was late and they'd need to reschedule me or "work me in within an hour" it's been over an hour and I haven't been called back. This didn't just inconvenience me but messed up my whole work day. There were other things to regarding payment that I was annoyed with and given poor communications on. I'm very displeased and would not recommend them or especially this location. (Spectrum location) PS it was very hard to find their building. A very poor business community layout. read more

This is my third bad experience at this location, and unfortunately it will be my last. Scheduling has been a consistent problem. During my last two appointments, I had to make a second visit because of issues on their end. Each time, I was told they tried to call me, but that my phone number was "out of service." When I asked them to call my number while I was standing there, the call went through immediately. That made it very difficult to believe what I was being told. To make matters worse, I was overcharged during my last two visits. Both times I had to spend hours arguing and following up just to get my money refunded. The repeated scheduling issues, inaccurate billing and poor customer service have made this an incredibly frustrating experience. I do not recommend using this location. read more

My doctor ordered me to hay x-rays on my back do to severe back pains, in which he wanted to make sure it wasn't fractured. I had x-rays of my back on a Friday morning as of the following Thursday they had yet to read them. When I called I was told it takes 5 to 7 days to read and get the results. What if it was serious? Well that's the time it takes, she tells me. DO NOT USE Simonmed! read more

I had two procedures done in January. i had to pay over $600 out of pocket at the time of the procedure. I had asked the desk clerk for a printout of the breakdown of charges for each procedure, my portion vs the insurance. He told me they couldn't do that and handed me a post it note with my portion of the two procedures, so two numbers, but no breakdown of the insurance portion or total procedure cost. When I got the insurance bill I realized they had overcharged me by almost double. I called to get a refund and was told 2-3 weeks. I Waited 4 weeks and called again. I was then told my refund had been issued that same day. Waited another 4 weeks and called back only to be told again that my refund was issued the day I was calling. Asked to speak to a supervisor who was no help. He couldn't explain why I had to call 3x and was told each time I'd have a refund in 2-3 weeks, nor was he able to guarantee this refund would be in my hands in 2-3 weeks, only that it should be. Here we are almost in May and they still owe me $315. Not sure why I they can't estimate closer than that in the first place as they had all my insurance info well in advance. It also should not take 4 months and at least 3 calls to get my refund. Horrible cust experience from the billing side. The only reason I gave them two stars instead of 1 is that the two people who performed my actual procedures were great. I do not recommend this business. read more

Kim for the mammogram and the guy that did CT cardiac calcium score test were great. Very friendly and helpful. Thank you. If I had to rate the front desk however the short haired girl told me the CT scan was $125 if I put through without insurance or $230 if they put through insurance. I asked why more with insurance she said most insurances don't pay for this scan. I called my insurance company the lady said my copay is $50 for that scan, she gave her name and claim # to the short haired lady at the desk and I paid $50. In my opinion if they have you scan your insurance card etc before your appointment, they should have verified what the copay is so you don't have to pay more $$ than you have and would probably never get back. Retirees don't have that kind of money. read more

First, an ENORMOUS shoutout to Erica from the Copperpoint office off of Val Vista in Gilbert! I was a walk-in for a chest X-ray. Because it was around noon, the desk receptionist told me that the X-ray tech, Erica, would be going to lunch and that I would have to wait roughly an hour. The receptionist was wonderful! She offered suggestions so that I wouldn't have to wait in the office. I told her that I would still rather wait. (I brought things to read.) Erica came out shortly after, and said to me that she would be delighted to get me in before her lunch, since I was the only patient requiring X-ray. This was WONDERFUL. Undoubtedly, she was hungry, but she brought me back and BAM! All done. Thank you, Erica! Lastly, I have been going to SimonMed for four years now, approximately four or more times per year. I am genuinely saddened to hear about the negative experiences some patients have had. Such experiences are unpleasant. I have not had any negative experiences so far. Customer service is terrible. I have been here several times over the last 3 years. Not friendly , helpful or kind. It's very disappointing as the patient we don't have a lot of options. The front office staff sucks. Do not go here. Beautiful medical park and building. But as soon as you walk in it's completely dark. I have vision issues and my husband noticed all the lighting over the check in desk was turned OFF. They still have that plastic anti virus shield up with a hole cut out at the bottom to pass stuff through - which I COULD NOT SEE. I explained to the woman behind the counter i have vision issues and it was very dark. She just stared at me. Told me she needed my cards. Ok...I was trying to figure out how to hand them to her and she finally said "down there" Down where?!? I can't see anything! I finally see the cut out. I have to stick my arm through and UP over her computer monitor for her to grab the cards. If I dropped the cards they would fall behind her computer. It was ridiculous. Then she went to hand me paperwork to fill out. I looked at the pass through. No paperwork. I asked, "um Are you handing it to me somewhere?" Over here - no hand gestures as she stares at me. Turns out there was a little area to the left of me she could put a clip board through. She was totally useless and I felt she was making fun of the fact I could not see. I never got to bring the paperwork back up because a group of people came in and blocked the way to the front desk. The Scanner tech came out and got me, took my paperwork, and was super nice and helpful. He needs to teach the front office a thing or two about customer service. . read more

DO NOT USE this SimonMed Imaging center!!! My husband had an x-ray on his hand with possibly broken bones, over a week ago and they STILL haven't read and reported the results!!! We have called MULTIPLE times and even went back to the facility and they just say they are behind in reading images. Go someplace else! read more

Stay away - not safe!!! I've been coming here for 10 hrs - last time too. 1 star MRI Was completed: quality of it unsure. Tech did NOT use gloves to inject contrast! When asked for another ear plug his response " they are all the same..." mine was not fitting in one ear. No gloves when he squished them down. I asked for another pillow for under knees to ease extreme pain. Tech did not acknowledge and pushed the pillow up towards my back. I suffered through. Gown was so small I had NO backside coverage. No care privacy! Next patient, and anyone entering area had full view of my back side-underwear. Lucky for them, I'm big girl and was wearing some. I made a joke because it was uncomfortable. No regard for patient's privacy, or simple human compassion. Hazardous to health and safety! Extremely filthy, 5 rodent traps just in waiting area, cracked uneven floor tiles, old and dusty, smells, poor lighting, and broken blinds etc. Thankfully, I avoided using bathroom. read more

Just had a very frustrating experience with SimonMed at the Spectrum location. My wife went in to get a CT scan. After the scan we went to lunch and then went home. We found a message on our home phone stating the the doctor's order was for two scans, one with contrast and one without. Their technician messed up and only did the scan with contrast. They asked if we could come back right so that they could do the other scan. They also stated that they would call our doctor and see if the other scan was really needed and would call us back that day. that's when the fun started. 1. They left their message on our home phone instead of calling the mobile phone number we gave them. So we did not get the message until a couple of hours later. 2. The message also gave us a phone number to call, so of course I tried calling. It was a generic phone number that took me to a list of menu items, none of which matched the situation at hand. The first person I talked to said you have chosen the wrong option and transferred me to another person. They couldn't help me and transferred me to another person. The third person couldn't help and transferred me to another person. When the forth person couldn't help I decided to look for another phone number to call. I finally got someone could at least pull up my wife's records and they saw that the visit was marked as "incomplete" but it didn't say why or what needed to happen. So I scheduled another appointment for a few days from now to see if we can straighten this out. All in all I spent over an hour on the phone with them. 3. And the message that we got saying they would call us later that day....They never called back. My advice, never deal with SimonMed at this location. the level of incompetence there is unbelievable. read more

Update: Changing from a 3 star review (which was probably too high to begin with) to a 1 star review. The radiologist who reviewed my CT completely misdiagnosed it and missed a serious issue. I hope to never have medical orders sent to this facility again. read more

Went here for a CT scan. Long wait. The scan itself went fast, however three weeks later and the results still weren't in my portal! Then I spent over 25 minutes with them on the phone trying to figure out why and get me the results, only to continually be told, "even though you don't hear me, I am still working on your account.". Are you kidding me? Horrible professionalism and out of pocket charge taken immediately, yet NO results of the scan can be found! Whatever you do, avoid this location. Absolutely terrible! read more

I was supposed to have an appointment this past wednesday, April 2nd 2025, but LESS than 2 hours before my appointment I get a call stating the mri machine is down. I call back to reschedule & explain that I need something in the next week because I've been dealing with this injury for a year & it already took 3 weeks for the initial appointment & I couldn't wait longer. The lady said the soonest appointment was the 24th. Fine whatever, I explained that I'll have it sent to somewhere else because I couldn't wait longer as I already said. She legit tried to get me to go to 2 different locations. She tried to scheduled the arthrogram at one location & the mri at the location across the street. Do you think that's practical? To ask someone with an INJURY to go to 2 different locations for one appointment.. this is the reason I'm leaving a review. There is also no time in between the arthrogram & the mri, to be able to go to another location. They have no sympathy for anyone. No im sorry for the inconveniences either. I am injured & can't just "walk across the street" that easily. Regardless if i wasn't injured, you guys should have the availability to do both at ONE location. If not, then figure your shit out before scheduling people. I contacted my orthopedics office & got the order sent to AZ Diagnostic Radiology. I have NEVER had an issue with getting scheduled with them. Even if the mri machine is down, I can get scheduled within the next couple days or the same day at a different location. One con- Internet service is shoddy and the tv in the secondary waiting room was constantly glitching. Been receiving phone calls and texts that I'm due for my screening so I eventually scheduled an appt online (first time scheduling online as I typically catch the phone call to schedule). Upon logging in, the system asks whether this was from a call which I click the link yes so it pulled up my actual order. I proceeded with scheduling my appt and at that Val Vista location. I arrived on my appt date and time and was told by the front desk they don't have an appt for me.. I showed them a screenshot of my appt scheduled online and they still was not able to find anything. The front desk manager who have been sitting there in the background this whole time then proceeds to the counter and tells me there's no appointment and that online system is wrong. I responded well that wouldn't be an issue on my end and something Simon Med needs to look into fixing.. and she responded yeah it's a problem they've had and we've already told them but don't know when they'll fix it, and that I should've made the appt in person or over the phone. I proceeded with that you are one company as Simon Med and I've already slotted time for this and drove here so isn't there a way they can see if they can schedule me in, and the manager said no because they have a meeting later and the techs will be in meeting too. The manager proceeded to go help with another customer. This is disappointing that I've been coming to this office and you have people in the front that lacks people skill and customer service, poorly representing your business, and like I told the lady at the front desk, why would I come back if they have someone who holds a manager title that has little to no regards of empathy to addressing and fixing the situation let alone making it seem like it's my fault for using YOUR company's online system. read more

My doctor sent an order for an echo cardio-gram. Simon Med called me to schedule the procedure last week. I was scheduled for today at 4:30 pm. I got my confirmation text with a reminder to be there at 4:30. I arrived at about 4:20. The girl at the front desk informed me that my appointment was at 7:00 am and I missed it. I showed her my confirmation and reminder. She got the office manager, and the tech even came out. I explained that I have doctors appointments lined up that are dependent on the test results. They even added a person in at 4:30. I told them they should bump him! Basically I now have to reschedule 2 different doctors appointments because of their screw up. read more

Yet the short haired girl asked for over $400 dollars. We told them our co payment and they had us sit down and wait for 30 minutes, to call us back and tell us it's $100. I asked the girl with long hair why such a big difference and she said the computer didn't update. This isn't the 1st time, a couple of years ago they tried to collect $ on a mammogram which is routine and no payment thru my insurance. Same short haired girl. So my question is do they get bonuses for over charging? I can't imagine how much extra they are pulling in with people who are not knowledgeable of how their insurance works. Signage in this clusterfuc of buildings is terrible. Apparently it's no longer efficient to put building numbers on the actual buildings. Very few handicap parking stalls. Door has no auto open for wheelchairs and walkers. They changed my appointment time to 15 minutes earlier through email (a few hours before appointment). Incredibly badly run, meaning nobody who works there takes responsibility for anything. If you have to use this location, brace yourself. Two techs who helped me were professional and courteous (Kim, Zoey); the other tech, Susan, was barely civil and actually made a disparaging comment about my breasts. read more

While the technician was great, the front staff was horrible and should not be checking in anyone. The app does not work, you share that and get the deer in headlights, don't send the application to check in if it's not functioning. You charge 3% to use a credit card but you don't notify through the app, you stick a sign on the door, really, should I leave to get cash and do you have change? I asked to be billed and now you can't bill? Are you serious, you're getting thousands already through our insurance. I uploaded all forms and insurance cards through the application yet I'm still asked for it? Horrible checkin staff, oblivious, happy to see people working of course but put the people in the back room cleaning up, it ruins it for the technicians that are educated. I also heard the next two patients have issues with the checkin staff so, maybe pay more with all the $$ you're taking in and get an adult who can handle people with brains that ask questions. Terrible customer service & protocols for how they run their business. 2nd time in 1 week that I have not been able to get into my Simon Med appointments. 1st time they called me 2 days before my mammogram appt to tell me the doctor requested the wrong screening & needed to resubmit the referral. Mind you I made this appt 3 weeks prior yet they called 2 days before appt to request additional paperwork & now have to reschedule my appt for another 2 weeks out & I have to go to a farther location. On top of that I am experiencing pain & that's not a reason to get in sooner apparently. Down side- we had over an hour wait with new insurance and representatives were having to request info from Health One. The gal that generally handles this for their office was gone; so the other employees had to do it. Many delays do to that, but can't fault the staff for it! Our X-ray tech was great: professional, quick and efficient. Upside- ended up with a disk of images we can view @ anytime! read more

Worker/Managers can not even make it to work on time. Unbelievable!!! Scheduled a Ultasound and Mammogram for my girlfriend on 2/23/23 this morning at 7am and 8:15am. We arrived at the office at 6:55am. The door was locked and everything dark. No one was there. So we left and went home to call SIMONMED IMAGING. I have been on the phone with them since 7:15am. And its going over 2 hours trying to get answers. I made 7 phone calls and still have no answers. This whole thing is total BS. SOMEONE IN THE ORGANIZATION NEEDS TO FIX THESE ISSUES ASAP. I went in for an ultrasound. They have you check in online but when you get there you still have to check in and deal with nonsense. As I waited for 45 minutes it didn't take long to realize how poorly run this office is. The waiting area is filthy! This is a medical facility. It should be spotless.
