The people that work her are Great. They are friendly and helpful. after my fall my doctor told me to go to the ER I went to Banner Ironwood the check in workers were friendly and helpful. I told them my doctor sent me here to get an MRI on my tendon as I had torn it earlier and with this fall the doctor was looking to see if it had ruptured, after being there for 4 hours the PA told me they don't do MRI's and sent me home. I went to simonized imaging at Queen Creek when it was my turn to go back the tech got me a wheelchair after the imaging the tech wheeled me out to my car. I had a very frustrating experience at SimonMed Imaging in Apache Junction, Arizona. Bad front desk staff did not acknowledge me when I arrived and seemed disengaged, laughing among themselves. I waited about an hour past my appointment time with no clear communication or updates. Even though I was checked in and marked as ready, I felt ignored and not informed about the delay. Basic professionalism and communication were lacking during my visit, which made the experience unnecessarily stressful. Absolute trash of a business. They called us on Friday to go over prep instructions for an abdomen scan. They told us our infant does not have to fast. The paperwork they gave us shows an infant does not have to fast. I got there this morning and the receptionist asks if the baby fasted. Uh no? I scheduled a mammogram weeks in advance and chose a morning appointment specifically because that was the only time that worked for my schedule. I planned around it accordingly. Days before the appointment, I was notified via text that my appointment had been changed to 2:00 PM without any explanation. I called to get clarification and was left on hold for several minutes. When I finally reached someone, they could not explain why the appointment was changed and offered absolutely no help or solution. There was no accountability, no effort to accommodate the inconvenience, and no concern for the impact this had on a patient's schedule. This is unacceptable for a medical facility. Patients should not have their appointments changed last minute without explanation, and they certainly should not be met with unhelpful, dismissive communication when they try to get answers. Don't, under any circumstances, come here. The worst location, the worst business. Waited over a month for an appt and took the morning off. Sit for 30 minutes to be called back (appt was at 7 am, arrived 10 mins early as asked) the receptionist called me up and states that she cannot see me because the order was wrong. I verified it 3 x with SimonMed prior to scheduling, and even had them send it in again to make sure they had it. Called 3 days prior to verify AGAIN they had the correct order. They said they did. Drive all the way over here and used PTO to be told no. Requested a refund for my copay and she said her manager has to do it later and there's nothing you can do. This location SUCKS. My daughter had to take my grandson for an MRI of his back. She'd mentioned before that SimonMed has always had a bad reputation but reluctantly went back due to convenience from where they live. After the MRI was sent to the doctor and basically signed off on by both the tech that read the MRI at SimonMed and the doctor saying his back was fine and he should resume normal activity I questioned if it had been read correctly. I took the MRI to my chiropractor who pulled it up and showed me otherwise. He pointed out at least 5 items that were missed in their initial response. He notified SimonMed of their errors and asked for an amended report, which they then revised in agreement with his finds. How does this happen? I would never trust them again for anything - or the doctor who supposedly was to have read the MRI initially as well. read more

scheduling is ridiculous call center experience out of the Philippines. I get that for my phone bill but not for my medical care where I have to give every bit of my sensitive information. Then once you get your appointment 2 weeks out. They unilaterally cancel the appointment and when you tell them you will pay cash they say sorry the appointment is taken we can schedule you for another 3 weeks out. Absolutely garbage! I'm not sure what has changed at this SimonMed location, but the level of service and efficiency has declined dramatically. I had a 12:00 p.m. appointment and arrived right on time, only to wait in line until 12:15. Despite three people working behind the desk, the line barely moved. When I finally reached the counter, the receptionist informed me that I was late for my 12:00 appointment. I explained that I had been standing in line for the last 15 minutes, and it's highly unlikely the technician was waiting idly, especially given how full the waiting room was. She then told me the technician was running behind and would not be able to see me. I attempted to contact the office manager to file a complaint, but was hung up on while on hold. The inefficiency and lack of professionalism at this facility are deeply concerning, especially for patients coming in for important imaging procedures. Worst!! Go somewhere else When you show up the wait time is unreal. They only have one person checking in. I showed up 15 minutes early as directed and ended up not getting checked in for 35 minutes after my appointment when I showed up everyone in Line (11 people) were pissed off saying the same thing. And then six more people came in behind me and were asking what's going on. No other employees would help the desk clerk. Not one employee had any care in the world about what was happening. What's the point in having any appointments? Simon Med overall has always been my go to and they were efficient and great to work with. I only had one issue at Queen Creek Rittenhouse with be charged way over what I owed and it took 2-3 months to get the money back. But the last 2 weeks, I cannot get scheduled for a special MRI with contrast of a wrist at any location except Thunderbird which is more than 1 hour away from me. 1 location that does this is odd? I was disconnected at least 3 times and told they could do it but then cancelled my appts. I have moved to another imaging center for this test. First, my experiencing both scheduling and my visit at Simon Med in Queen Creek was not enjoyable. Upon scheduling the appointment, I arrived earlier than as requested. I filled out the paperwork, and sat down with few people wating when I arrived. As time went on, many more clients arrived, signed in, and it was frustrating to see that nearly everyone who arrived after me was roomed before me. I asked, and the front desk said that the tech who was going to do my test was late and on his way to the office. Another 45 minutes later they finally roomed me, and I had spent nearly 2 hours for this 10 minute exam / treatment. IF I had been 1 hour late they would have told me that I had to make another appointment, as the patient typically gets no grace. Their tech was late in returning after lunch, which was the reason for the delay, but there was no communication. I could have run some errands in that time had they notified me of the delay, but they did not. Unfortunately, some people do not respect other people's time! I have had more than 20 MRIs over the past 7 years (at other companies) since I turned 65, and in EVERY CASE I was never charged anything. When I signed the paperwork it had a very lengthly document relating to responsibility for payment. After filling out the paperwork, I asked the girl at the front desk about it, telling her that I have never been charged anything since being on Medicare, and I also have a Blue Cross supplement policy which is suppose to pick up any deficiency. She said that they normally do not charge medicare patients, so I should not have to worry. Today I received a text asking me to log in and make a payment of $145. I called Simon Med, and once I was able to speak to someone they dropped my call during the conversation. I immediaely called back, and got a different agent, this time asking for a return call if we get disconnected again. I explained to that agent my concern over this charge, given my history for the past 7 years of never being charged. She proceeded to explain to me that their normal charge for this MRI is around $1,100 and that Medicare waived all but $40 which they paid to Simon Medical. She next explained that my supplement paid an additional $11, so they received a grand total from my insurance of $51. The balance of $145 was for my medicare deductable which had not yet been met for the year (this was in January). Upon realizing that this was for the deductable, I immediately paid this deductable amount, as Simon Med was being shorted on thier 19 cents on the dollar charge. I was SHOCKED by the tiny amount of money that Medicare pays! Had my deductable been met, then they would have paid only $180 for this $1,100 typically charged (only 19 cents on the dollar!). I realize that insurance companies make adjustments, but this is rediculous. The doctors and their businesses are being required to subsidize their costs by giving gifts to Medicare patients, as the Government is shorting them far less than their cost. So the doctors and medical organizations are now required to provide nearly free services to everyone on Medicare, yet the government states how they are going broke from medicare & SS?!? It is no wonder why so many doctors are closing or selling their practice and limiting their work to groups, hospitals or teaching where they can get a sallary! I don't blame them, and I don't blame Simon Medical for this either. However, I gave Simon Med this poor rating because (1) the gross inconsideration of my time in their waiting room, and (2) their communication on the phone with scripted narrative, rather than simply being able to have a normal 2 way conversation. It seems that so many businesses are requiring scripts, corporate narrative, and terminology which points AGAIN to inconsideration and disrespect towards the client. It took 10 minutes of dialogue before their agent would finally simply provide me with a "Yes or No" answer to my simple question, but instead she first had to repeatedly read the script they provide which does not provide a direct answer to my simple question. This is happenning in most industries now, as larger companies try to lower their overhead by eliminating employees and outsourcing their customer service. It is infuriating, and I am exposing this whenever I have such similar experience as I am fed up with this non-personal and demeaning communication practices. GOD BLESS AMERICA!!! read more

What a joke! I get two phone calls telling me to walk in for an x-ray which I do and it will be a 2 1/2 hour wait. They only had "one tech" who is leaving at 3:30 so they will be stopping appointments at 2:30. Then I go to Queen Creek on Rittenhouse and they have no tech so they can't do that x-ray today.. I arrived at 7:19 AM for walk in XRays. I was told that the tech who could do the type of xray I needed would not be in until 8:30. I opted to wait. I mean after all I was there already. At 8:50 I was told the tech called out and that I could go to an alternative location. Of course, I made a fuss. The manager placated me and told me I could have a 9:30 appointment there. However, when I arrived I was told not so. I waited until well after 11:30 with a que of five still before me. Hungry, tired and in pain I opted to leave and try a Saturday location. It was a horrible morning made okay by the kindness of other patients who offered to get me some coffee and hope. read more

If I could give a negative rating, I would. I have never found a Simon Med location with good customer service, quick turnaround, or respect for patients. This is the first of two reviews I am writing for different locations. Over the past few years, Simon Med has repeatedly failed to get authorizations on time, including urgent requests and two for surgeries. I had to postpone surgeries twice because they did not get the necessary approvals, though at least they admitted their mistake. Today, I arrived for my scheduled appointment, only to be told it was canceled late yesterday because they said my doctor did not get the insurance authorization. Based on past experience, I knew this was not true, as my doctor always follows up. I called my doctor, who checked with her medical assistant, and they never received any notification. Once again, Simon Med did not follow through, even with extra time to get the authorization. This time, they blamed my doctor. Their track record is as bad as their online reviews suggest. Their website claims, 'Our patients rate us 98% on their visits,' but this location has a 1.6-star review and the Rittenhouse location has a 2.4-star review, which will likely drop after my next review. I am in pain and back to waiting for someone to do their job. I called my insurance company, and they confirmed they had not received anything from Simon Med, which just proves my point. At this location, no one ever smiles, welcomes you in, or thanks you when you leave...ever. Today, I arrived, and there were 3 people in line, then 4, then 7. Not a single one of the four people behind the counter made eye contact, asked us to be patient, apologized for their behavior, or even acknowledged our presence. I stood in line for 11 minutes before someone who was on the phone with an insurance company finally started helping people. There were 7 people in line, with no more room unless you stood outside. I wish there were another place to go, as I would never visit Simon Med again. The only decent interaction I had there before was with the person doing the actual CT scan. I swear, I don't use the word "hate" often, but I hate going to Simon Med. It's a guaranteed negative experience there. If you don't believe me, simply Google reviews for Simon Med locations, and you will see the same type of reviews repeated over and over again. Good luck getting your money back! I talked to several people from billing to customer service and they said unless I paid with a credit card or MasterCard then they can't reimburse me $200. I told them I paid $295 with a Mastercard and they said they can only send a check to me through the mail. I can't receive mail right now at my new address, so I have to bother my old address to receive the check for me. 7 different people couldn't solve the issue. On a separate note, they didn't read the doctor's order. So I had received the wrong imaging service (ultrasound instead of the anatomy scan the doc ordered). I'm due for delivery in 1 month and this has been so stressful both financially and practically. The staff was nice even though they performed the wrong service and couldn't find a good solution within their flawed billing department. read more

Had an appointment for a mammogram at 1 and when I got there the other customer in front of me was also there for the same thing and was told the technician was running behind and she could not provide an timeframe on the length of time it would take to be seen. When the other admin called me up to check me in I asked about the delay he did not know what I was talking about and had to ask the other admin to find out. The other admin went back to check with the technician and came back and said she did not know how long it was going to take with the current customer she was imaging. I asked if this was the only technician and was told yes. First, that means that technician is a single point of failure and cannot service any other customers waiting. Second, that means since the technician could not advise on how long it was going to take then all customers waiting for the same procedure were going to be back logged and that could be 15 minutes, 30 or even an hour. That is unacceptable. Is the expectation from Simon Med that well customers just need to be flexible and be patient? No, I'm all for having to wait if I am giving a reasonable timeframe to wait. Your customers also have schedules and things to complete during our day. Third, you need to staff your front desk accordingly to ensure your customers are serviced in a timely manner. Fourth, this facility needs a paint job, an update, something. It looks dirty and unclean when you walk in. For the amount of money you charge for your services you should be able to afford keeping the place looking decent. I rescheduled my appointment, but this facility is quickly turning into one that I will no longer go to because of your inability to properly staff technicians, front desk help and the overall look of the facility. So I went for a mammogram which the insurance pays for and a ct heart scan which the insurance does not pay for, I figured the people behind the desk know what the H..LL they are doing but the DO NOT!!!, I paid for the unpaid item the ct heart scan out of pocket, now I find out the st..id people there did not bill the insurance for the mammogram, and they want me to pay it!!!, also I had to pay over what I owed on another exam a few weeks later and they cannot figure out how to refund me my money, then when you call to find out how to fix it, you get someone from a non-english speaking country, you can barely understand what they say!! They misunderstood the doctor orders, said i needed a xray when it was a mri and xray, hung up on me twice (I think it was accidental, but they never called me back when they had my number), scheduled me, but it was for 3 different times, which would take me a half day. Every single time it has been a bad experience! I have had instances of them telling me they don't have my doctor's order (which is a lie because they called me to set up the appt with the Dr order) and today had the wonderful experience of being told by phone my copay was 136.40 only to get there in person and be ambushed with 460.00! I then asked them how much if I self pay instead of using insurance and shocker!! 265.00. In what world does this make sense? Upon entering you'll feel that you have entered a dimly lit dungeon. That starts what can only be described as an unprofessional experience. After waiting an hour I was told that I could not get a CT scan because I had put down that 25 years ago, I got itchy after iodine contrast. They said that they didn't have a medical professional on staff at this location that could help me if that happened again. What type of medical facility is this? Additionally I explained that I had 3 or 4 other procedures with iodine since and no itchy feeling....to no avail...they sent me home after I waited 2 weeks to get an appointment. This building is not handicap accessible. I'm on crutches and trying to open the heavy door I started falling. Lucky a patient got up to help me and found me a wheelchair. The worst experience ever. My son had an ultrasound scheduled and this was the only location that does MSK ultrasounds. Do NOT - I repeat do not go to the Simon Med on Gantzel Rd, in Queen Creek! You will be overcharged, dismissed, and under valued It was a 40 minute drive, told me the appointment had a $150 copay. I asked if I could split the payment, they said no. So I had to reschedule- they said the soonest was 2 weeks out. My son couldn't walk, so I called the next day (because on line scheduling was unavailable) they found me an appointment same day, 10 minutes from my house and only $110 and said I could make payment arrangements!
