I recently bought an old beater car for the winter. I dealt with Shawn while I was there, and he…read morewas exceedingly polite and went out of his way to describe everything that was wrong with the car. Then, we were able to prioritize what had to be done right away, and what could wait for a few months. My transmission flush, radiator flush, complete oil change and overall tuneup was completed within two hours and it actually cost less than I expected (less than $500.00 for work, and parts). They were very considerate and aware of the fact that I had financial constraints, and worked with me as to what essential repairs needed to be completed right away.

I brought my company 2021 Chevy Silverado to Speedee Oil Change in Taunton on 7/23 for a routine…read moreoil change. The truck had no oil leak before the service. On 8/8, I noticed an oil stain on my driveway. Due to work and family obligations, I couldn't return until 8/12. The manager I spoke with that day was polite and helpful. He told me the technician who performed my oil change had been fired for similar issues and asked me to return so they could correct the problem at no charge. I returned at 10 AM on 8/13. I explained that I believed the leak was coming from the oil filter or the drain plug. The employees inspected the truck, wiped the oil from around the filter and oil pan, and told me the truck wasn't leaking oil but coolant. I knew this was incorrect, but I had to leave for work after about an hour of waiting. Later that day, I found a substantial oil leak coming from the oil filter. Upon inspection, I discovered the filter was extremely loose and could be spun with three fingers. I immediately returned to Speedee. I was told they had already "checked" it and that it was now a "he said, she said" situation. I do my own oil changes on my personal vehicles, so I'm very familiar with this type of work. I can't say exactly what caused the leak as of now but my guess would be not checking for the removal of the old filter gasket , an oil filter that is loose enough to spin by hand after an oil change is also extremely concerning. What is most disappointing is that I wasn't looking for an argument. All I wanted was for the oil change to be corrected, as I was promised on 8/12. Instead, after being told twice that I was mistaken about an obvious oil leak, I am now left having to fight for a refund. A vehicle should not be put at risk over a basic oil change. I strongly recommend choosing a different location for your car maintenance. (follow up) 8/24/26- They will ask for your information to remedy the issue, but they will never call or email you back. My suggestion is a 93A consumer protection claim against them
