Located inside a food court in Jusgo Supermarket, Xi'an Gourmet House is a quick meal stop for a flavorful lunch (or great for takeout dinner) My favorite was the pork stewed burger, this had so many flavors bursting with each bite, I wish I could order this again! The dough was very light and not too overbearing and complimented the meat very well. The hand pulled noodles were delicious as well, and you get the option to choose how spicy you'd like your noodles to be when ordering. Service is quick and efficient, and the ambiance made for a really quick meal with the tables out in front to enjoy your food.
The spicy cumin lamb with hand-ripped noodles were good, but they were a bit spicy for my taste buds. For those of my husband's, it was just the right amount of spices. He had visited this place before so he went searching for it again. The noodles were thick and had that nice hearty noodle chew. I love it! There was a good amount of lamb chunks and veggies throughout. Everything was soaked in their cooking oil/sauce so every bite was flavorful. I liked how they had everything on top of tin foil. That would certainly help with leakage and any chemical transfer from the styrofoam container. I suppose you could order with a person versus going through the kiosk for a small convenience fee. Xi'an Gourmet House is located within the Jusgo supermarket food court vicinity.
They were about to close and I was still able to order . Food was very good. I have been craving these noodles. Very different than what I am used to. Good price and good amount of food. The restaurant is in a cute little Asian market /mall. Lots of flags hanging and brightly lit. Loved the whole vibe.
Delicous Xian food in Jugso food court. They have lot of menu options to choose from. Highly recommend the hand pulled noodles. Made fresh and really good. They have a kiosk where you can place the order. The seating is shared by other food court businesses. Cant beat the prices. Very affordable.
I can't get enough of Biang Biang noodles at Xian! The spicy cumin lamb noodles are a definite winner, and the beef noodles are delicious as well. Whether in dry or soup form, the portions are generous with the perfect balance of meat, noodles, and cabbage. Xian is located in Jusgo supermarket's food court. They also have a location in the city.
I've heard plenty of good things about this place and while figuring out what to eat, I saw people with these bowls of thick noodles. I'm sold. Ordered the spicy cumin lamb and in a short time my noodles were ready. They looked soooo good. After mixing I was ready to indulge. Unfortunately it was not spicy and had a very strong sour flavor. I loved the texture of the hand pulled noodles but the quantity of food felt off. I like having a balanced bite but this will leave you with too much of one thing at the end. Overall not bad but I would not do it again. Service was fine and ambiance is very much food court with extra traffic due to the stores.
This place is great for comfort food. I always get the tomato and egg soup noodles, but I will say the midtown location does it better. It's still warm and homey and comforting but it lacks the flavor of the one served in midtown. Still love the extensive menu here and the quick service food court style inside Jusgo!
I was in the mood to tried a new lamb dish and Xi-an Gourmet House did not disappoint. The first bite of Spicy Cumin Lamb Hand-Ripped Noodles was an explosion of flavor. The lamb was so deliciously tender and so were the noodles. I enjoyed the crunch of the bean sprouts and bok choy. I'll be back to try the Spicy Cumin Lamb Burger.
I came here with my family due to my relatives craving their hand pulled noodles that people rave about. I hadn't heard of Xi'an Gourmet House before and wished I had looked on Yelp before arriving because their dishes do look really good, and I wish I would've looked to know what to order. Their menu isn't very descriptive nor did they have many pictures, so we quickly ordered 1 beef hand pulled noodles and 2 homemade beef ma shi noodle soup as others were waiting behind us to order. I didn't know what the ma shi noodles was- I just assumed it was a popular noodle dish since it was at the top of the menu and it had "homemade" in the name. Once our food came out though, we were quickly disappointed. I guess we didn't notice the word "soup" in the name, because it came out as a huge bowl of very very hot broth. 3 of us burnt our tongues trying to eat it, and although we sat there for awhile waiting for it to cool down (even going to buy appetizers at other restaurants), the broth never cooled down even enough to be an eating temperature. It was just too hot to eat for any of us that we had to pack it to go- which wasn't exactly easy either. Imagine packing a whole bowl of soup into a small container- it spilled everywhere. We contemplated just leaving it and not even taking it to go, but that would've been a waste of our time and money considering we took no more than 5 bites from each bowl. The beef hand pulled noodles was more appetizing but it'd be a huge stretch to call it good. I found that the dish had way too much noodle and not enough beef to go with all the noodles. My picture is deceiving as it looks like there's a lot of beef, but the beef was just in big chunks (wish they cut it more) at the top, and there's plenty of noodle underneath. The noodles were long and thick making it hard to cut to eat, so you just had to bite into it and rip the remaining from your mouth. I found this makes the dish very hard to share in addition to being hard to eat. It was very dry. There's sauce at the bottom of the bowl, but I wish it had been distributed through the whole bowl so that the top and middle of the dish wasn't so dry. Now, aside from the food, the reason for the low rating and why I was extremely disappointed in my meal was the service. Honestly, the food was probably so unimpressive to me because I was already disappointed that I probably had preconceived opinions that the food wouldn't be good. We ordered immediately after my family did. We were right behind them in line. But they got their food after probably 15 minutes or so. And I'm giving a 2 star review rather than a 1 star because their food actually did look good and all 4 of them enjoyed and were very pleased with their meals. We were excited to get our dishes after seeing theirs. BUT we ended up waiting 45 minutes for our food. We stood there and stood there and nobody acknowledged us. We were confused why other people were being served their food who ordered after us. We saw to go meals being made. I was informed by my relatives that this place gets to go orders or people who call ahead a lot, so maybe that's why they were getting their food first. For this reason, we gave them the benefit of the doubt and remained patiently waiting. After 35 minutes of waiting though, we approached the cashier and asked about our food. We watched her speak to the kitchen who looked confused, then saw them grab a ticket from the counter and move it to the front of their orders. Nobody said a word to us and resumed doing their jobs. We stood there for another 10 minutes unacknowledged as we saw them make our food through the kitchen window assuring me that they did in fact forget about our order. We never received an apology. There was no acknowledgment regarding what happened or for the wait. We were just handed our food and that was it. We were not pleased, and we truly regretted even ordering food from here. It also made me wonder if our dishes came out the way they did because they were forgotten about and rushed? Their reviews are way too good. And the 3 other bowls my family ordered ahead of us were good so it can't be that their food is bad. It looks like we just had a bad experience hence why I'm giving at least 2 stars. But I wish we had gotten an apology at the very least or been acknowledged.
We saw Xi'an Gourmet House hyped up on social media, so we decided to give them a try. We ordered the Beef-Hand Ripped Noodles and the Mount Qi Pork Hand Ripped Noodles in Soup. Both dishes were good with chewy noodles, but we were hoping for some more flavor beyond spice. Though decently priced, these weren't the best noodles we've had.
Update!!! I finally get to try the food here. Everything is great now I understand the hype about this place. The dumplings are handmade and so juicy. Hand pulled noodles is my favorite texture. Customer service is great. The table isn't so convenient since there's only one table on their side of the stall. They wasn't that busy on the week day so everything seems pretty clean and organized. I don't know about the weekend. Anyhow, I'll be back!
Located inside Jusgo Food Court which is like a mall food court. We stopped by Saturday night for dinner. You can order at the kiosk or the counter and I recommend the counter to customize spice levels. I got the Spicy Cumin Lamb Noodles and it was flavorful but a bit too spicy for me. There's a lot of lamb and the price is very good. read more

I've tried their food several times --sometimes pleasantly surprised, sometimes a bit disappointed. My family really enjoys their Dry Pot Pork Intestine -- when cooked properly, it's super flavorful, with a nice mix of spice, aroma, and crispiness. Lately though, the portion seems smaller, but I can understand that given how prices are going up. Their Fish-Flavored Eggplant used to be one of my favorites -- sweet, tangy, and rich in flavor. But the last time I ordered it, the eggplant pieces were too big and not cut properly, which made the texture less enjoyable. (I stopped ordering it after that.) Their Roujiamo (Chinese burger) is still really good, and the Stir-Fried Liangpi (cold noodles) is absolutely delicious -- loaded with bean sprouts and chili sauce, super addictive and satisfying! read more

I was a big fan of their 23. Spicy Cumin Lamb Hand-Ripped Noodles. Noodles are wide and thin with lots of lamb and some cabbage and bean sprouts. Given the price and quantity, I felt as though it was a fair match. Definitely going to be coming again. read more

Got the hand ripped noodles with lamb. Just the right amount of spice for me but a little too spicy for me wife and kids. Noodles were tender with a nice chew. Note there is a fee if you want to use a credit card so bring cash to save. Overall delicious food at a great price. Will definitely be back. read more
For the price and portion sizes I would say this is a pretty solid option. Located inside the jusgo food court with plenty of grocery shop parking spots. The spicy boiled fish comes with rice and has lots of veggies inside such as bean sprout, cabbage and wood ear mushroom. I would say they definitely packed it with veggies and fish however I wish it was a little spicier. It was not too spicy or flavorful in my opinion. The spicy cumin lamb noodles came with thick and wide noodles, lamb, cabbage and beansprout as well. It was flavorful and the noodle texture was good. Overall, for the price point I would say this is a great spot for takeout or a quick lunch. The service was good and the food court was not too busy on a Sunday afternoon. Delicious hand pulled noodles. Hubby got the cumin lamb and I got the vegetable noodles. Both had excellent broth, garlic, and chili oil flavor. It's located right across from the Japanese store in the Jusgo food court. Food comes out pretty fast. read more

Always wanted walked by and finally tried it today. It was good, but we were disappointed because we expected better. JiaJiang Noodle was very disappointing and completely lacked flavor. The Szechuan Pig Intestine was flavorful, but the intestine was overfried and very crunchy rendering it unenjoyable. The Kung Pao Fish was the highlight with great flavor balance and fresh ingredients. And unfortunately, service was not very welcoming nor friendly. We are glad we tried it, but definitely will not be returning as there are many other more enjoyable choices. read more
Just a little history lesson. For those who do not know, Xi'an is where the Terracotta Army sculptures were discovered in China. On with my review: I was looking for some authentic Chinese food and after browsing through the Yelp reviews here it seemed like they had really good dumplings. Tonight I ordered about 30 and ate almost all of them, that is how good they are. Now, they are not anything like Xiao Long Bao that one would find in Shanghai, but they are somewhat juicy and not dry like many of the ones I have found at many other Chinese restaurants. My wife wanted Mongolian beef, which they do not serve (makes sense, as that is a Chinese-American dish), but the guy on the phone said they had something similar, stir-fried beef and onion and I must say, I tried it and it was extremely good. Overall, this is a great place. I will eat here more often. Note: If you have never been here before. Xi'an Gourmet House is located inside the Jusgo Supermarket off Venture Drive, there are two entrances to the Supermarket, if you go to the far right that takes you directly inside the food court where they have several restaurants within the supermarket. Great Biang Biang noodles! I have a mild obsession with these chewy hand pulled noodles and Xian gets it right. The lamb curry is my favorite with its intense flavor. I also really enjoy the pork with pickled cabbage. Least would be the beef noodles which lacked much flavor. Prices are affordable and portions are great for sharing. Would recommend! read more

FIRST This place is located inside the supermarket. Once you walk in it's off to your right or just walk straight ahead. I recommend calling in your order. There are several restaurants in this building all of which seem worth checking out. I tried the spicy lamb ripped noddle. It was good but maybe too spicy and not enough meat. Also had the chicken fried rice that was good. The best thing was the sweet and sour pork. I recommend it. I didn't take a picture of that. read more
As noted in my previous review, I TOTALLY ordered the wrong thing the last time I came here. Apparently, Xi'an Gourmet House has been rumored to be even better than Xi'an Famous Foods in NYC. I ordered random items off the menu last time without regard to what they are known for: their "hand ripped" noodles. I finally got to try the cumin lamb noodles and good god why have I not tried these before. Freaking amazing flavor, meat is tender, noodles are soft. And the spice is perfect. Speaking of which. Even though it's the New Year.... who needs New Years resolutions when you can just eat all the noods?!? Will make a much needed stop this weekend lol. read more

The dishes were decently tasty, but whether they lived up to the Michelin recommendation is debatable. My Stir Fried Tomato and Eggs Hand Pulled Noodles "dry" turned out to be not so dry after all, with a surprising amount of liquid at the bottom. While not unpleasant, it wasn't what I had in mind. As a fan of Chinese-style tomato and eggs, I enjoyed the flavors, although the seasoning gave it a twist reminiscent of dumpling sauce, with hints of soy sauce and black vinegar. The noodles, while impressively long as seen in the photos, were a bit too thick and firm for my liking. I think they would have been better with a slightly flatter texture. My friend ordered the Mount Qi Pork Hand Ripped Noodles in Soup, and it didn't quite hit the mark for me. Once again, the soup had a similar flavor profile to the dumpling sauce, but with a tangier and heavier consistency that left me reaching for my soda after a few bites. Also, my dish came out quickly, but unfortunately, it was left sitting on the counter for quite some time, getting cold as we waited for my friend's order. It appeared that they were busy preparing a few to-go orders before attending to her soup. Whether the delay was due to the soup needing more time to cook or just poor planning and lack of coordination, I'm not entirely sure. While our lunch was enjoyable overall, it's not a place I see myself craving to return to. Plus, I was really distracted by constantly having to swat away gnats and flies during my entire meal. read more
TL;DR: I came here on a Saturday afternoon with my Taiwanese mother and she approves. ARRIVAL: Had no idea this Taiwanese food court was here! Parking is very easy and you'll enter directly into the food court using the right side entrance. AMBIANCE: It feels like a typical grocery or mall food court, nothing special to share here. There seems ample table space even in the summer, but some tables weren't cleaned (not sure who is responsible for this as most of the tables seem to be used to customers of any of the eateries. MENU: The menu has a good option of soup/soupless and other options. I opted for the dry cumin lamb hand-ripped noodles and my mom got the beef with soup hand-ripped noodles. FOOD: I absolutely LOVE the cumin noodles. My mom really enjoyed her beef noodle soup as well, but lemme get back to these cumin noodles. They are extremely flavorful, wonderfully spicy and honestly the only thing I crave regularly and need to order delivery. Be warned it IS spicy and this is coming from a spicy lover. I've had my fair share of hand-pulled noodles and the noodles themselves are my favorite thusfar. I've had them at restaurants where they are too thick and don't cook evenly or fold over on themselves or get stuck together and has a similar effect, making them undercooked, heavy, and unappetizing - but every time i've had them here/midtown, they are perfectly cooked and not to thick or thin. SERVICE: It's simple counter service where you order and grab your food from them. They were patient with our questions when ordering and when my mom picked it up (I was busy ordering popcorn chicken elsewhere) she said the uncles in the back were really nice about adding spicy oil for her soup when she asked how to make it spicy spicy. EXPERIENCE: Overall, it was a very accessible spot for GREAT hand-ripped noodles in the Duluth area and I have since ordered delivery multiple times (from the midtown location) and will be back here in person when I'm in the area! PRICE: A little more than what I expected to pay for general food in GA, but happy to pay for the yumminess i'm getting! OVERALL: Will 100% return as months later i still haven't stopped talking about it. read more

I ordered three dishes for to go which took about 10-15 mins. There were a handful of orders ahead of mine. My favorite was the fried green beans. It was very flavorful with a ton of minced pork. The noodles had a lot of veggies such as Napa and beansprouts, it was vinegary, chewy, and spicy. I really enjoyed the chewiness of the noodles. My least favorite was the fish. This dish also had a ton of beansprouts, really not my favorite. The soup was salty and a bit salty. The fish though was too soft/mushy. read more
I got the beef noodle soup with hand pulled noodles. I wanted the lamb, but they said the lamb had no soup, and that I had to order the beef. Why they can't put lamb instead of beef - who knows, but it's the second time I've experienced this at Taiwanese restaurants who can't modify their menu. Shrug. First of all, I ordered when I got there and it took around 30 minutes. They were busy, and many to-go orders were going out, so I get it. My recommendation is call them beforehand and give them ample time before you pick up. I usually eat half a bowl of noodle soup for breakfast, so I did. AMAZING. Wow, it was worth the wait. The noodles are almost two inches thick and delicious! There isn't a ton of meat, but the noodles with the soup are top notch. I'm definitely coming back, and I'm definitely calling before. Quickly scanned the latest Yelp reviews and this place seemed to get consistently high ratings. Since I had done the Beef Noodle Soup last time, I asked what I should order that's very good - she told me to get the BIANG BIANG NOODLES ... there's a picture on the menu wall but it's not on the price list ... so I don't know the price but my total incl. tax was $12.67. It was fun not to know what to expect, and the flavors were definitely unique. It had hand-pulled flat noodles (very salty), Sichuan spices (aka numbing), tomatoes (the best part - totally unexpected in a Chinese dish), egg, minced pork, bean sprouts, tofu, green onions, and no soup. Interesting bowl of ingredients and textures that worked. I'd get it again :) read more
AUTHENTIC XI'AN FOOD!! i saw xi'an gourmet while browsing Chowbus and the reviews and food seemed great. xi'an is famous for its hand-pulled noodles and lamb dishes, so i had to try! BTW if you haven't used Chowbus CHECK IT OUT!! traveling to duluth or doraville can be a hike if you live in ATL and Chowbus is a lifesaver. use my CODE: UNDERTHEDISH for $10 OFF $20!!! not trying to promo or anything but seriously it's so good and worth it. onto the review... although i got it delivered, it was still amazing despite not being super fresh (i did have to heat it up). what i got: - Spicy Cumin Lamb Hand-Ripped Noodles(No Soup): you could tell the noodles were hand pulled and homemade - thick, imperfect, and delicious. the sauce was flavorful and tons of cumin with a nice kick to it. - Stir Fried Eggplant W. Spicy Garlic Sauce: your standard stir fried eggplant that you get at a Chinese restaurant. had nice large tender pieces of eggplant, but nothing out of ordinary. - Hot Boiled Spicy Fish Fillet W. Soft Tofu: i was surprised by this dish. the sauce wasn't too oily like some spicy fish fillet dishes and the soft tofu complimented the dish nicely. - Spicy Cumin Lamb Burger: probably would have been better fresh since the bread did get a little cold, but the meat was nice, similar flavoring to the noodles but in a sandwich. read more

No soup with chili flakes. I recommend either the spicy cumin lamb or the spicy vegetable hand pulled noodle dishes.
