Simon took great care in installing the premier Alpine Halo 9 head unit into my Mercedes G500. Bringing with it full CarPlay, steering wheel controls, and the ability to place and tune the backup camera to our liking. We found the smallest backup camera, and placed it in between the tow hitch and bumper, making it invisible, then Simon modified the camera's hardware to remove the parking lines at my request. USB/Lightning cable for CarPlay was routed through the center console per my request, along with the hands-free microphone being nicely integrated into the overhead controls. He also made sure to include a bypass that allows the settings to be adjusted on the head unit without the parking brake engaged. It's this level of thoughtfulness that makes all the difference in the years to come with the installation. He worked to address any questions or adjustments needed, and with that really appreciate his patience, transparency and expertise in his craft, as well as the diligent work of the staff. My 2015 Jeep Wrangler was never a spectacular sounding car from the stock speakers but recently the audio just wasn't what it should/ could be. I was also a little tired of reversing without a backup camera and wanted to put something more permanent than getting a cheap one that might go bad a few months down the line. I went there again to fix an issue and have received terrible, terrible service. They have overpromised being able to fix an issue with the car's radio and have wasted my time in ways that are not excusable. My alarm was chirping sporadically as though I'd left headlights on while the car was locked. It was annoying the whole neighborhood. Brought it into Simon's and expected to pay a ton to find faulty wiring or pay for a new alarm etc... But they called me a couple of hours later and said the wiring was fine they checked it and replaced the alarm computer at no charge as it was still under warranty. I brought my 2015 sprinter van into Simon's to upgrade the dashboard with a touch screen monitor with apple carplay and to replace the back up camera. He was really easy to talk to, the cost was competitive, and after talking to him a while I learned that his main staff had been working there since they opened more than 30 years ago. Loyalty is such a good sign of a good family run business and I felt good about supporting a local small business that has been around such a long time. The service on my car was fast and efficient and they did an awesome job. The touchscreen makes my driving experience better especially since we take it on long haul camping trips! Had been going to Simon for years but their last stereo upgrade to my car was really, really bad. Noise from the engine kept getting into the cabling (cheap cables, bad install). So when my car was just idling you could hear high end hissing constantly. And when I pressed on the gas it would get even louder and higher pitched. The shop told me that it was my spark plugs. Okay. I took it across the street to another place who pulled all of the equipment out and Google each of the pieces and showed me how low end and cheap everything was. It was sad and embarrassing. They also guessed that Simon's Stereo was the one who installed the low-end equipment, which made me think that this isn't the first time they've seen this. But, the other shop replaced everything with higher end equipment and better cabling. I am extremely satisfied and let's just say--it wasn't the spark plugs. read more

I had been struggling with an outdated alarm system on my car and decided to finally get it changed out for something more modern. Of course with this kind of thing you never know what the installers will run into as I did not know the origin of the old system and assumed it might be a day or two of work to get it sorted out and the new system in. I gave Simon's a call and they assured me they could handle the replacement and install. I was originally going to purchase my own system, but based on the price offered for the install including the alarm system, I decided to go with their recommendation. I drove in on a Wednesday afternoon and, after a quick check in, they assured me they could handle the work in a matter of hours. I went for a walk around the area and after a quick lunch they had already removed the old system and installed the new one, including wiring into the factory door locks and lighting. The service was incredibly friendly and they were pretty fair with the pricing compared to other places that I had called.
