Looks like they've slipped a notch. This is an easy fix for somebody. My burger was cooked and put together with zero love. Now,if you're a cook it's just not that hard to turn out a decent hamburger. Even though cooked on a flat top there was no edge caramelization. So, either the grill isn't hot enough or the cook is messing with the patty too much. The irony of all this is,last week I had a world class burger at the original JC location, that had closed and was revived by Edmond as Edmunds burgers. Same flat top JC installed years ago and Edmond knows how to use it. As George Harrison said best, " All Things Must Pass". I think JCs run is over. read more

Came in and ordered a nooner burger. She puts in a junior burger. Gave me a wrong burger due to a major language barrier. Junior and nooner sounds like the same thing. Then instead of making me the correct burger. They made the egg and bacon and served me my same cold burger and fries with hot egg and bacon. Never going here again. She even had a attitude. Walked in and the young lady had on some very short shorts , showing things that should not be shown. She did explain what come on the works burger and was able to take our car order. We did tell her it was our first time we needed a little extra time. Well after ordering and receiving food we get home and the food is fix wrong. I order 2 works one extra mayo and one grilled jalapeño on the side. Well it was 1 no mayo and 1 light mayo and neither burgers had cheese. So I called and explained the issue and she did apologize but she also said it's nothing she can do about it. I will have to wait until a manager comes in. So I asked when will the manager be in and she told me I call can back tomorrow to see if he is in or call back Thursday. This is very disappointing after spending $51 for my order and this was my first time visiting this restaurant. Very poor customer service. I WILL NOT BE RETURNING. read more

The double medium burger was cooked perfectly and boy is it a big burger! The chicken bacon salad was enough for a family also. I had honey mustard dressing which was perfectly made.. The restaurant was clean with nobody else besides us; probably since it was at 8:00 p m They were getting ready to close at 8:30. The two staffers were kind and patient while we looked over the menu. Food is good but they have become very inattentive to mobile takeout orders, even at times the restaurant is not very busy.

Stopped in for weekly date night with my husband. We stood at the counter for awhile. There was a female employee at the counter but not in front of so we didn't know she was ready to take our order. The employee cooking spoke up and said, hello, has your order been taking, we responded no. Then the young lady came back to reality from daydreaming and took our order. Our food arrived quickly. We had room for dessert to take home. I sampled two flavors and decided on the strawberry banana. Very impressed with the food, including the hot & tasty fries. Service was friendly and I liked how they brought the food to your table. One downside...a little pricey, and apparently they raised their prices but didn't update the menu board. I highly recommend the patty melt! Patty melt met all expectations and the grilled jalapeños was a nice touch. From the out side this place seems tiny buts it's nice and open in the inside. I was greeted as soon as I walked in. That's always a plus. I have not been here in a long time. I reviewed the menu board and went with the mushroom, Swiss burger with fries. Burger is tasty, but you get more bun then you do meat. My burger did have lots of mushrooms, which is what I paid for. The fresh cut fries are crispy and delicious! Worth getting since the onion rings are frozen. The ketchup bottles are not labeled so I'm not sure what type of ketchup they use. It's clean for a burger joint. All the tables were bussed and wiped clean. At the drink area they have fresh cut lemons on ice for the tea they serve. Maybe next time I will try something different. I do love a good burger and I feel they have stepped it up this time. Appears they make ice cream shakes. I did not have one but I did see several folks order one. Not feelin' it... family lunch. Tried 3 different burgers and four sides. Sweet potato frie were pretty good. Regular fries were okay. Onion rings tasted like nothing but coating was crunchy. Tater tots were good but didn't come until after we were done with our meal. Meat was flavorless but tender. Buns were like what you find in a Great Value bag if it sits open a couple of days. Toppings on all burgers was adequate and tasty. Menu said all burgers came all the way with veggies et al but not the case on specialty burgers i guess. Presentation was no Instagram photo. Really enjoyed this place. We got there as they opened. Ordered the special which was a third pound burger, fries and a medium drink. They use fresh never frozen ground beef, very nicely seasoned. Drove a way to get burgers for the family. My wife likes this place but I on the other hand have yet to get a burger thats worth a flip from here. At least they are consistent in the poor quality of their burgers. My wife thinks they are good, then again she would rather have a burger over a steak so her taste is off a bit(bless her heart). My burger was dry as heck, really over cooked. My burger buns were soggy as if they sat in water. I know what your thinking, how is that possible. I have been a big fan of JC's for years, and I've recently encouraged my vegetarian and vegan friends to give them a shot, because they have fresh toppings and a great veggie patty. I've had numerous meals at both Allen and Mckinney locations over the years, but in the past several months the allen location has been a disappointing level down. We have wasted money and time three times in a row I can't believe I reordered so many times just hoping someone would care... they don't. By the way... I have ordered several times via UberEATS ... the last three were miserable even with additional notes and reminders not to forget sauce or sides. I won't go back.
