After cutting out that area of dry wall and noted the problem, I got a couple of quotes. Friendly Fire Systems is very reliable. The boss Benito responds to text very quickly and answered all questions professionally. Scheduling was easy and uneventful. The technician, Rafael, arrived on time. He did the whole job by himself. The access box was too small and Benito was able to help him to locate a bigger one quickly and Rafael went to get it. They replaced the pipes with CPVC plastic pipes. They also replaced the valve and water pressure gauge. Rafael did everything in 1 day. The other impressive and important quality I like this company is the post-repair follow-up service. The new water pressure gauge connection was seeping out water with drops of water slowly. I texted Benito right away and he was able to have another technician, Miguel, to come to my house that same evening and it was Friday. Miguel arrived on time that evening and tightened the connection up. The slow leak persisted and noted the next day. I texted Benito regarding that the next day, Saturday. He again responded to the text immediately and offered to have Miguel to come to my house Monday early morning but afternoon worked better for me and he scheduled that afternoon for me. Miguel replaced the water pressure gauge and the metal connector as there's manufacturing defects causing the super slow leak at the connection. Afterwards, no more leak. Thank you Friendly Fire Systems and the boss Benito for being so reliable for the initial work AND more importantly, the follow-up care. Not that many companies nowadays are so reliable on follow-up customer service/care after they get the money for the initial service. Keep up the good work!!!

Their customer service and communication are the best I have experienced from any contractor. Rick even called me on a weekend when he was out of town to verify the exposed pipe. Rick was also in constant contact with our excavation contractor to provide photos and ensure there was enough room for the repairs to be made. Not that I want to have another fire sprinkler leak again, but if I did, I would not hesitate to contact Rick again.

I, as a home designer in the Bay area, have a reputation to uphold when I refer someone and I would never refer anyone who is not on the top of their game. Recently on a project in Burlingame I had a project that was extremely difficult with an old portion of the home connecting a substantial new addition. The city required a sprinkler system so I called on Rick to design and install the fire sprinkler system. The project went so smoothly that the client called me a thanked me for the recommendation. Once again Rick did a great job. Unfortunately, for Donna T. sounds like a mistake was made when gas heaters were probably installed after the fact to close to a sprinkler head and that set of the sprinkler system. There is always two sides to the story and unfortunately she has made a case that deserves a response.

The 3rd foreman that we had got the mess straightened out and got the job rolling and then they pulled hi. For another job. Work is stalled again with no end in site. I have spoken to others who have hired RCM for their fire protection anf I have gotten the same story from all of them. I do not recommend RCM. Great Foremen, awful Superintendents. The superintendent Glenn is am absolute joke. Save money by hiring a different company even if their bid is higher. I'm losing money hourly because of RCM.

Anyway, he offered to replace all my sprinklers on top of replacing the leaking one. His crews work was fantastic!!! They were the best people you could interact with and very professional. I detected a leak from one of their sprinklers about a week later and they came over immediately and fixed it. About a month later I discovered a leak, and again called them around 5pm I think (I live in the Bay Area), and by 7pm!!! their technician "James", was at our home working on the problem. He discovered it was not a sprinkler problem, rather I had a leaking roof. He was right and the roof company has fixed that problem. Follow up service at 7pm driving from Modesto to the Bay Area!!! I made it crystal clear that this was a RESIDENTIAL application. Joseph indicated no problem, they could absolutely handle it. I made 2 appointments...the first to deactivate the system and to repair the leak, and the second to return 24 hours later to re-activate it. I took 2 days off work, moved several cars so they could have access to the ceiling, and scheduled a contractor to repair the ceiling hole access afterwards. When the day of the appointment rolled around, I received a text from Joseph 15 minutes AFTER the appointed time, saying that they were not coming to do the job. Apparently they were not insured for residential work after all. He did take ownership of the mistake, for which I will give him credit. But if you want a dependable company that does what they say they are going to do....find someone else.
