I paid for the day of coordination package which included handling the contracts and communication 3 months in advance. I had a difficult time even getting a response back from Richel. It would take her weeks at a time to respond. And a couple vendors had trouble connecting with her as well. I actually emailed Richel a couple weeks before our wedding, stating that my experience working with them was subpar and asked if I needed to be reminded of the expectations, which I never got a response. On the day of the wedding, Richel and a team member were 20ish minutes late. And when they did arrive they were both holding iced drinks. Vendors were actually looking for Richel and asking where she was. I wasn't asked a single question on our wedding day. If that's what you want, fine. But I had mentioned wanting a certain use of rented furniture and it wasn't set up how I wanted. Which included, having to move furniture during the ceremony in order to accommodate our unity symbol. Also, our cake pops were out in the sun, melting. After the ceremony, food had not been saved for us, and when we went up to the table everything had been eaten. At our reception, ice for our drink buckets had melted and wasn't refilled so by the time we had gotten there the drinks weren't cold. I didn't ask for this to happen, but one would hope that your coordinator would assist with things like this. One positive. I do want to highlight the gentleman helping on the FTG team the day of our event. He was pointed out by many guests as very hard-working, personable and helpful and we were very appreciative of his services and kindness. He helped get items into the car at the end of the night and handed me a beverage or two after our ceremony. These are just little things that would have made a difference in our day, made a lasting negative impression for me.

Richel met with us before we committed to working with For the Good to get a sense of our vision for our wedding, our personal values and interests, and us as a couple. We connected with Monique shortly after to start wedding planning. Over the next 6+ months, we continued to meet in 2-3 month intervals to identify and select vendors and communicated via email in between. They gave us excellent suggestions about vendors to work with based on their previous experiences. We came to Oahu twice to visit in person, and they arranged a venue tour to plan the layout of our wedding. They even came to our tastings and took notes on dishes that we wanted to add or to change. We met at more frequent intervals leading up to our wedding date to finalize the timeline, design, and other details. Regarding our wedding day, the For the Good team made the day as stress-free as possible. They took care of all of the logistics and worked with all the vendors from set up to take down. When we arrived at our venue, everything looked exactly like we'd planned, down to the smallest details at our welcome table and the wedding arch. It was honestly even more beautiful than we'd hoped for. We ended up running a little bit behind on our timeline during the wedding itself because the speeches ran long, but the team worked to get us back on track to give us plenty of time to party with our guests. Their portfolio was amazing and they possess tremendous talent in their field. The Alvarados are a husband and wife team. We worked with Jess only. At first it was akward for us because my fiance and I have never taken professional photos before and did not know what to do. She put us at ease, was laid back, professional and down to earth. She showed us what to do for great poses and had great ideas for pictures. When we saw our pictures, it was awesome! The best photos and editing I have ever seen. If you look at their Instagram, all their work is absolutely GORGEOUS. Because of this, I completely trusted them with their decisions should some of my florals not be available for my wedding, and I knew they would get my vision after meeting with them and sending them inspiration photos. They are easy to contact and quick to respond! When I wanted to add or change anything I of course felt bad but I was always treated with the utmost kindness and support. I adored my wedding flowers SO much and received so many compliments from guests and those who just saw pictures. The only con About my experience was that some things are just RIDICULOUSLY overpriced. Yes, they are of the more pricier florists but flowers were important to me and it was 100% worth it because everything was beautiful. But 15.00-20.00 for a boutanierre (all greenery) when my ti leaf lei from a local florist WITH orchids was only 5.00 was pricy on my end.. or even to add 15.00 for long ribbons on my bouquet. I'm not the type to argue, but still I was kind of shocked at how much the quoted certain things/add ons. Another con is that they don't do Saturday weddings so I had to pay a 10-15% outsourcing fee. It has to do with the owner's religion, but I don't understand why other employees can't setup their flowers to avoid this fee? 15% when you're paying a couple thousand for flowers really is a lot. And Most weddings are on Saturday so I feel like that's just part of it when you're in the wedding business, with all due respect to religion. Anyhow, I was still super happy and it was worth every penny but very very expensive!

Suzanne was a life saver when she made arrangements to have my date AND time available. She initially was booked for a photo session at my requested time. I am grateful for her services, timeliness and attention to details for my day. I couldn't have asked for a better coordinator. We made her wait almost an hour for us (during our initial meeting) because we got so lost finding the place. She was still pleasant when we met and even more pleasant during the day of. My only regret is that because the day was so hectic, I didn't have a chance to thank her and for all her hard work. I wholeheartedly recommend Suzanne for your event planning. Just make sure you come up with a check list of everything you want/need prior to the event and ask her to check it on the day of.
