This really is a top notch salon in king george. In fact, I live in downtown Fredericksburg and work in North Stafford where there are 100s of fine salons I could go to, but I make the bi monthly, 45 minute drive out to KG to get my hair done by Amber because she can pretty much do no wrong when it comes to hair. I've been to decent stylists before, but none but Amber give you the impression that they are as passionate about your hair as you are. Her energy and imagination are limitless. My haircuts and color are flawless. I am always always always being stopped and asked where I have my hair done. That's probably why she's such a successful stylist. I do like going to Simply Bliss but every time I go, which isn't often because they don't follow their stated pricing and it's always more than I expect. Case in point, my daughter is 5, and her haircut should have been $16 but I did a shampoo and style so I thought it would be $20 per the pricing but it was $30. I don't see where the upcharge would have been almost double. I didn't say anything because it was the stylist that rung me up and I didn't want to argue. But I don't think I will be coming back anytime soon. read more

Found this salon with a google search. Staying in Dahlgren for several weeks for work, and with the recent weather found myself with a day off...so called to get a same day haircut/highlight appointment. The owner, Taryn, was wonderful, and took me personally. She did a fantastic job, and wouldn't let me leave until I was 100% satisfied with the cut, color and styling. The shop is very tastefully decorated, all the ladies are friendly, conversation flowed, and there was a steady stream of satisfied customers. They offer special discounts on the Facebook account, and offer a nice 10% discount for all MILITARY! Absolutely recommend and would come back again! read more

I really wanted to like this place, the people were so friendly, but the wax was very painful. I told the technician about different waxes that weren't so painful and she was very interested and said she was going to research them. I really hope she does. I've never had a wax hurt that bad and, two months later, I'm still dealing with in-grown hairs from the experience :( read more

Recently our family moved to the King George area & a family member suggested stylist Kathy Lynn @ Simply Bliss. My naturally dark brown hair was turning a white grey, so I wanted to go with it & have more colored/highlighted white/grey. After 2 separate appointments totaling 11 hrs, my dark brown hair was a lighter orange/brown & what was supposed to be white grey was blond. It looks hideous. Since Kathy Lynn said hair coloring was her specialty, I was shocked and very disappointed at the results, plus my hair is so damaged it can't be re-colored. I tried to contact the manager, Christy Ellis, twice... but she never returned my calls. The cost of this disaster was refunded but I would not recommend this salon or Kathy Lynn. read more

I orignally visited Simply Bliss because I managed to track down my all-time favorite stylist, Amber Brezovic. She's the best I've found. From the moment I first sat in her chair, I knew she wanted me to look great and be happy with the results of her hard work. Every time I've left her chair, I thought to myself, WOW, that's exactly what I wanted! I immediately take pictures of my new 'do and send them to my long distance friends because I'm so happy with how I look (every single time) Because I've been to this salon several times now, I've had the pleasure of getting work done by some other staff members as well. Lisa provides the most amazing shampoo, hands down. It comes with a shoulder massage. Truth be told, I'd go in just for that. Alicia did an amazing job on my foil. I'd let my hair grow out for nine months. It looked terrible. She fixed me right up. There was no evidence I'd let my hair grow out that long. I was impressed. Last, but certainly not least, Kylee did an eyebrow wax for me. I've had many brow wax jobs in my life and this was the one and only that was not painful and didn't leave me red and a little swollen for hours after. I could hardly believe I didn't experience any pain. I don't know if it's the product they use or Kylee's expertise, but I will never want a wax done anywhere else. The rest of the staff, I can't say I've had the pleasure of working with, but everyone I've encountered seems warm, friendly, and inviting. I look forward to my next visit there. read more

I came to King George thinking wow their is nothing in this town! I searched and searched for a salon that had class, was having no luck until I came here! All the staff was friendly, I was asked by not one but two different people if I wanted coffee or water. This is how I started my experience! My stylist was Kathy and to tell the truth I couldn't be any happier with her. She payed attention as I "tried" to describe what I wanted, then went over all the ups and downs with my choices, and as a team we picked the best cut and style for me. As time has gone by I have meet most all the staff their..... All I can say is WOW! The owner and stylists are very friendly and you can really tell they all work together! It's not like most salons and spas where you feel as if they are pushing you out the door, they really care about the shop and how their clients are treated. Not only does it offer wonderful hair services but it has a FULL BLOWN SPA! Since my time here I have tried almost all the services they offer. From an AMAZING facial, non surgical face lifts, waxing and even the non surgical lipo. I have been more then pleased with each and every visit. Never Again! My husband got me a gift certificate from 804 half off, stating it was worth $70 dollars. The salon is literally in the middle of nowhere; I was very hesitant to even go in. I had scheduled a haircut (brought a picture) of what I wanted and scheduled an eye and lip wax. The waxing was first, the room was already dirty as I was brought in. The hairstylist ripped my face off!! Not only were my eyebrows mismatched (one was longer than the other) she either plucked or waxed my face off, I literally left with 2 scabs over my eyebrow (I will be posting the picture). Wasn't happy with the haircut either and it looked nothing like the picture I brought in. As I went to use my gift certificate, the woman informed me it was only for a facial and no other services. MAKE SURE YOU READ THE FINE PRINT ON THE BACK OF THE gift card. So not only did I drive 1hr each way for a shitty haircut, scabbed eyebrows but I had to pay for it. Put it this way now I have a Gift certificate for a facial, b/c the place sucked I will not be back for the facial even if it's free. read more

Simply Bliss is wonderful! I always have a great experience. I followed my stylist there from The Upper Room Hair Salon and love the look and feel of Simply Bliss. My stylist is Amber Brezovic, and she is as wonderful as they get. I was a floater for a long time, but had Amber one and never went to anyone else again! She is now like family to my mother and I. She always knows what i want and does it even better than I could have imagined! Homecoming and Prom hair and make-up, perm, cut, style, and dye - she ALWAYS does amazingly! Everyone there is very sweet and they are so flexible! I called for highlights on a whim one day and Amber had me in an hour later and worked her magic!
