Visiting from out of town and found this cute new Italian spot! With a focus on quality ingredients and thoughtful service. The meal was wonderful and the service was great. My favorite was the carbonara but the salmon penne passed by my table and the look and the smell made me wish I could try that too. We were not able to be seated inside, as they were completely booked for the night (good for them), but they there were plenty of outdoor tables with heat lamps. First time dining here and it was everything we expected. They are an authentic Italian establishment and the ambiance and food fit the expectation. We were seated right away, our server greeted us within a few minutes and gave us ample time to review the menu. The decor is very relaxing, lighting is perfect for a romantic evening and the service is top notch. They also have outdoor seating and the area in Flamingo Crossing is beautiful for outdoor dining. DO NOT GO THERE. They are prejudice and do now speak english well. Their customer service is beyond terrible. Place was near empty and said they couldn't sit us down because we didn't have a reservation. Then I tried to order takeout and they said they don't support takeout. I am a platinum amex card holder and I am used to dining at the top most exclusive VIP places in the entire world. Do not understand why we were discriminated against. Having family from Capri and Vico Equense I was a little skeptical about this place but referencing the name Capri I was compelled to try so I drove 40 minutes from Lake Nona. Having 3 restaurants in NY and knowing when a restaurant uses quality ingredients this place did not disappoint The pizza was right on point as well as the polpette and the pasta vongole. The tiramisu made in house was fabulous. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The pizzaiolo is from Napoli and YES it makes a big difference. Finally authentic Italian in Florida!! This is what Disney aspired to be in years long gone by. Service - you will get none better. I was almost overwhelmed. 10 out of 10! Food - it's as Italian on American soil you can get. Seafood pasta was awesome, fresh, fresh, fresh! fresh seafood and great home made pasta (NOT overcooked). Pepperoni pizza was better than Naples (sorry Naples). Dessert was a religious experience it was so good. Direct from the Amalfi Coast. We had 2!!! Drink menu was impressive to say the least. NOT STUFFY and fairly priced for the dining experience. It is very European style dining. NOT RUSHED, you relax, they got this. Manager was very friendly and welcoming. I give this place 10 stars. Can't wait to visit again. This is a follow up to the first time I was there. First off day of I called and asked if we could add 3 more to our reservation that was already a party of 8. The lady I spoke with on the phone not only was a pleasure and worked to squeeze us in, but got us seated together at a table. Our service was again spot on, the staff is knowledgable and accommodating. The food was outstanding, everything comes out hot and together. Restaurant was very busy for a Sunday night, highly recommend reservations to ensure you get in! My only comment, and this is truly a preference and i under stand where Capri is and the food. I wish there were a few more non seafood pasta dish options, I love pasta but just not a seafood lover. Again this is a comment (and maybe some hope for new menu items). l Also the kids menu is FANTASTIC!! The staff even took time to come out to celebrate my Aunts 78th birthday with a little dessert! My taste buds could not be more thrilled to eat and savor authentic Italian food. Aside from the BEST cuisine, the service was impeccable with the most friendly staff. Antonio and Josephine bring it all home with making the whole experience feel like I was sitting at home with them in the family kitchen. Speaking of family, the owner, Benito, from the time we walked into the front door made us feel like we were his family too. Truly a slice of Italy in our own backyard! Would be a 1-star review but the wait staff was great. Main issue was the host. Older gentleman, possibly the owner. Came in at 7:30 pm. Cold as hell. Stated the only available table for our party of 6 (one is a toddler) was an outdoor table with no heating. Asked if we could split the group into two to get heating. He refused and Stated he had no availability. However there were several open tables inside AND outside(with heating), but alleged he had reservations for those tables. Fine. We took the only table available. Ordered 2 pastas, a pizza, an appetizer, a salad and a couple of cocktails. Finished in about an hour. Funny thing is those empty tables were still empty. My main issue is, at least TRY to care or accommodate. Host gave zero fucks from the start. Just not a good look tbh. Food was ok. Probably a 3 out of 5 at best. I can only speculate the host was rude and didn't accommodate because we were Asian. I'd look elsewhere in the area. read more

We really wanted to eat here after a long day. Did our research and definitely excited to try it out! It just was not in the cards. As a couple, we walked up and held the door for a middle aged and older person. The older person had struggled to get out of the vehicle. As an decent person would do, we let them go ahead of us, ultimately being sat within a minute or two. We waited for the host to come back, no indication that there was any sort of wait or capacity issues. We saw some leave, we saw some come in ahead of us. The greeting was a similar "how can I help you?" as with the group before. After asking for a table for 2, we were offered the bar unless we wanted to wait almost 90 minutes. I politely declined the bar, it's not the ambiance we enjoy for a dinner. After a puzzling moment with no explanation at all and the expectation that we would just wait, we left. Now, we could've taken that in stride. However, we noticed that other larger groups were sat upon our departure. Disappointing to say the least. Hopefully we'll get another shot, but not a great first impression. read more

Fede and Andrea were amazing servers! My parents, brother and I just paid a visit to Simply Capri for the first time and it definitely won't be our last! Both the service and the food were top notch! My father is italian and he was pleasantly surprised with everything, the servers were all italian and very were helpful describing every dish and giving us their recommendations. We ordered the Fritto Sorrentino as an appetizer and it was delicious. We have struggled to find true Pomodoro Sauce (Marinara) as it is in Italy and here we found it! For entrees we had the Margherita Pizza, the Caccavella Caprese, the Spaghetti Alla Carbonara Di Mare, and the Lasagna which is exclusive to Wednesdays, and everything was delicious. For dessert we had the Coppa Sorrentina which was heavenly and the Delizia al Limone which is a must. If you are still thinking about trying this place, this is your sign, YOU WILL LOVE IT! read more
