The DB wasn't for me, not too much of a fan of citrus and coffee. The next few times we went, we've tried the Clouds in Sicily, Cream Cloud Coffee, Hojicha, Chrysanthemum, and the Matcha Limeade and they were all great. The staff here really put care in the drinks they make here. Definitely our new go to matcha and coffee spot. Hopefully they add more coffee drinks in the future but it's still great. Also need to try the soft serve as I've only heard good things.

When I contacted Simply Delicious By Meri, I had a custom order because I wanted red velvet cupcakes with cream cheese frosting and coconut cupcakes with pineapple and whipped cream frosting, but I wanted tactile toppings since this was a small gathering for a most special young lady in my life who is entering her senior year at Boston university. I am blind and so are our friends. The toppings had to have bedazzlement, the Boston University colors, and be very telling that this young lady is super girly with edible and tactile toppings that consisted of sunglasses, lipsticks, and compact mirrors. Meri was very clear in her communication, gave me suggestions, and even put an identifiable way for me to know which box was red velvet and which one had the coconut cupcakes. We were able to indulge in the yummy cupcakes on a Loudoun County rooftop. AMAZING !! Not only was the design exactly how i wanted but the cake itself was fresh and delicious. Her home made fondant brought everything together so perfectly. How i came upon Meri was a miracle from God! Heres how it happened: I had originally planned to make the cake myself and was stressing out because i couldn't find the exact things i needed at Michaels. Next thing i know, i see a lady (Meri) on the phone next to me looking through the same cake isle, so i decided to ask her if she by any chance knew how to make cakes. Man.. little did i know lol. We chatted for a few minutes, she gave me her card, and the rest is history. She told me she could make everything herself to make all the colors exactly how i wanted. Meri saved my son's first birthday! My original plans for a cake was canceled due to the coronavirus and I was left with nothing. I found Meri on yelp and judging by the pictures and reviews of her past customers, I gave her a shot and hoped she able to help me and she did not disappoint! I have no experience in ordering cake and dealing with flavors and such, but she was kind enough to point out some awesome flavors, buttercream flavors and filling flavors. I went with lemon cake, vanilla buttercream with raspberry filling and it tasted amazing! Guests complimented on how delicious it was and they thought they were eating cheesecake. I sent a few pictures of designs that I had in mind for my son's cake but ultimately left it up to her what to do. I was not disappointed at all. Gluten-free cakes usually taste like cardboard, and are really difficult to make on a large scale, but Meri came through with my Wonder Woman birthday cake, and it tasted AMAZING! Everyone at the party couldn't believe it was a GF cake, the mousse inside was incredible; the cake was chocolate and vanilla, and the mousse was an infused chocolate and a creamy vanilla for each type of cake. She also made my son's birthday cake which was equally delicious! Side note: my daughter and I were recently at two events where my daughter fell in love with certain deserts at each one (my daughter doesn't like anyone's dessert, she's very picky), and the deserts she loved turned out to be the ones made by Meri. From halfway across the country, needed a short-notice delivery of custom-decorated cupcakes to a teammate in Centerville. Found Meri on the internet, sent her a picture of our new team logo, and she absolutely NAILED it. Let me know when she was leaving and when she arrived, so we were able to catch our teammate with a surprise Zoom birthday call. Could not have worked out better. Ironically, while I was most interested in how they looked, our girl just raved about how DELICIOUS the cupcakes were - 2 different flavors, both excellent. I couldn't be happier, and what Meri charged for this was extremely reasonable. I happily added to it. I wish I had gotten a better photo of the cake, but unfortunately it was a really windy day and it almost blew out of my hand and the front got a little messed up RIGHT at my doorstep, lol. But what can I say? This cake was not only beautiful, but was one of the most delicious cakes I've ever had. Her prices are more than fair for the quality of work you get. Meri is an exceptionally talented baker and has excellent customer service skills. I found her through yelp while looking to order cake for my wife's graduation party. Although I was ordering the cake from Texas, I never had any communication issues. Where do I even begin?! Meri did such an excellent job on the desserts for my sister in law's baby shower. She went over and beyond our expectations. We have been multi-child camp attendees since 2022, and I have invoices that have never been as deceptive or as outlandish as this years magic 'uncollected' tax request. I should not have paid it now that I have looked back at past invoices. Is this store under new ownership? Why was I charged $36 in fees and then another $60 in 'taxes'? I was told it was a 10% tax- which would be in line with fairfax's prepared food tax and VA state tax I assume, however, this is a CAMP and there is a labor and camp supply charge that I also assume is taxed at a lower rate than the prepared foods? How does a camp have a 10% tax rate? Also, I spent $600 this year, and already paid a $36 fee. Last year I had $900 in camp cost but paid a MUCH lower total of only $54 in fees, no added taxes. Then in 2024 I paid $726.75 for camp but only $43 in fees, again, no additional taxes. How is this year the lowest camp fee @$600 but I am asked to pay $96 in fees/taxes-- that is outrageous and deceptive. Families are on a budget and throwing out extra hidden fees is not acceptable and it is not inline with previous business practises from this establishment. The Manager or Owner should have sent prior WRITTEN communication with a detailed explanation of what occured, and what the price would be- not a phone call by an employee who is not empowered with the information or ability to handle inquiries. We were overcharged for this camp at the last minute, you snuck in hidden fees calling them 'taxes' and you are applying a food tax on camp services. Extremely dishonest business practices.

I have had many, many cakes in this lifetime and none have come anywhere close to what these cakes taste like. Flavor AND texture are absolutely the best. Visually amazing as well, the small details and working with you on a creative way to execute even a complicated theme or favorite item is like magic. I am critical/detail oriented and even I was impressed. I am not sure that any baker could match, even those that you see on TV. We have gotten cakes for my daughter's first birthday (was almost as tall as my 1 yr old), a friend's 40th b'day cake and a bridal shower as well. Once I contacted because I just had to have her cake but alas...she was booked.
