Thank you to Cake Time for gifting us an afternoon of quiet, relaxation and joy in these crazy times! We booked a private event with Cake Time for my sister's baby shower and the entire experience exceeded our expectations. With our booking we were able to have the entire studio for our guests for snacks, drinks, and cake decorating time. The whole experience from booking to execution was flawless. A few things to note: + We had a small party for ten but the space can accommodate a lot more. I can see this type of event being fun for children (or tween) birthday parties, girl scout troops, mom friends or date nights. + We brought in a lot of decor but the whole space is so cute that you probably don't need anything than a few balloons to make it look festive. + Each guest will have an hour and a half to choose and decorate their cake. Our group had a mix of experience cake makers to newbies and we were all able to come home with something that we could be proud of. I made a pineapple cake, my mother made a sunflower cake, my sister made a fox cake, and my niece made a whale cake. There are tons of designs to choose from! + If you do not want to commit to an entire cake you can decorate cupcakes or cookies. + You can also purchase cakes/cupcake kits to decorate at home! The owner Amanda was very friendly and hands-on. She assisted with setup and answered all of our questions (there were a lot of them!). She was able to keep the party moving so we were pretty much all finished by the party was up. We had a similar cake decorating party at Sprinkles Cupcakes for my other sisters' shower and I have to say that CakeTime is a lot larger, cleaner and easy to work with. Parking is easy and accessible and the staff was very involved. I would not hesitate to come back again. In fact, my preschooler was so jealous of my afternoon out and I've already promised a trip back so she can decorate a cake with her friends!

Toppers not included...placed order for 2 dozen cupcakes online. Very easy process and had a section for requests and such. She responded quickly. Asked to pickup an hour earlier than her opening time and order was ready to go when we got there! Ordered red velvet, carrot cake, cookies and cream and raspberry! Red velvet and carrot cake was our favorite. Wished the cookies and cream was only in the icing part on a chocolate cupcake. We think it would be even better with the cookies and cream incorporated within the cupcake. The raspberry has raspberry filling inside and a nice icing on top. The cupcakes were all delicious and will definitely order again!

My daughter had her birthday over the weekend and it was a blast! We booked a private party for 14 girls and it was perfect from start to finish. Cake time and the instructors/hosts were so friendly, helpful and made sure the girls had a great time. I didn't catch all their names except for Mara but all 3 instructors were great! They assisted the girls when needed and even helped served the pizza, sandwiches and birthday cupcakes. The location was a hike for us but all the guests said Cake Time made it worth it and we would love to come back again!

Cappuccino was surprisingly good, better than most coffee shops. The new owner must be korean, they now sell bingsoo and taiyaki (made fresh must try).

Have come here for their DIY kits and birthday parties. Such a fun, cute place and the employees go out of their way to help you make cakes. Can't wait to try a special event night!

I stumbled across this cake decorating place. There were two kid birthday events happening at the time. There appeared to be lot of cute small cakes that one could decorate. There was a display wall of examples. I stopped by to purchase a cupcake. I ordered two cupcakes. The actual cake was delicious but the buttercream was not that good. The buttercream was overly sweet with no real taste.

Vanilla, chocolate and strawberry cupcakes, all with white icing. best cake, would be perfect with thicker icing and thicker cake

Chocolate, strawberry and vanilla, all with white icing. Best cupcakes in northern Virginia, hopefully they open more Fairfax bakeries! Please join UberEats! and/or enable requests on DoorDash

    Great kit!

We did a DIY to-go Santa cake. The kit was nicely packaged and sectioned out. The cake and frosting was light and fluffy. The vanilla cake was flavorful and our whole group loved it ! Fun to make and delicious to eat.

Had such a great time with friends and family at Caketime in Chantilly, VA. Good for birthday parties, team building events or even girls night out. Highly recommended. You dont need to know how to bake or cake decorating. Just go and have a good time. Owners are very nice and down to earth. Will definitely go back.

My wife and I went in for the "nailed it" cake decorating. The staff was extremely friendly. Getting set up was streamlined very well. Everything we needed was provided, we spent about 90 minutes decorating the cake. Eating the cake next day was fun. The cake itself tasted good (not great), but we still ate it all!

Cake Time is an amazing place! The owner was very responsive and helpful. We had our daughter's birthday party there and all of the kids had so much fun. Several even asked their parents to have their birthdays there. Cake Time took a great number of precautions to protect from COVID and we get so safe. They limited the number of people we could have there. All kids had to wash their hands upon entering. Each kid received a disposable apron and their own table to work from that was spaced sometimes more than 6 ft. apart. We got to pick our own theme, so the kids decorated llama cupcakes and cookies. Each kid picked their own color frosting and had so much fun. The instructors were clear in giving instructions, which were also shown on a big television for everyone in the room to see. My kids are already asking to go back and take a class.

    The supplies and pristine cake!

This was such a fun and manageable kid project!! I bought this for my niece and nephews for Easter and it was a huge hit! They deliver, which is phenomenal, and the project is so fun and not overly complicated even though the final product looks so professional!! Highly recommended! They said the cake was delicious too!! I will definitely be buying again. Thank you!!

Start to finish quality. They care about what goes into their products and care about the finished products. Reasonably priced, and in my opinion, a better value than most of the area competition. At the time of this review, this is not a sit down venue. Expect no frills when you walk in, but delectable goods in-hand when you walk out! I've been looking for one for years in this area & have finally found it. My favorite bakery. Why? It's not a cool trendy or fancy venue, but the owners take the time to take care of you when you walk in. They're just starting to build their storefront in this industrial/commercial kitchen kinda setting, so please don't expect glam. Also, don't write them off until you've given their cakes a shot. Asian-style. Light fluffy, not too sweet cakes with lots of yummy whipped cream. Fresh & yummy flavors. If you're a heavy buttercream fan, this bakery may not appeal to your palate or texture preferences, but if you enjoy fresh cream cakes....mmmm mmmm goood! Other Asian-style bread items are available and their tofu chips are addicting. They're roasting their own coffee beans, too, which make a really smooth cup of java. Tasty. This mom & pop seem to really love what they do, they work extremely hard every day, and they really want their customers to have a good experience with their products. I love that they're often working on new recipes and creating new products to add to their line-up. This bakery is a must try at least once. And, maybe...just maybe... you'll enjoy their delicious treats as much as I do & be glad you found this off the beaten path local bakery.

I've been searching all over the DMV and the Salt Bread here has been very, very lackluster. Bit Bakery is the first place where the Salt Bread is actually buttery (to the point my fingers started to glimmer). My favorite variation has to be the Squid ink! Also while I came for the Salt Bread, I certainly stayed for the cookies. The cookies were even better than the Salt Bread!! So soft yet also held together well. I tried the Banana Milk flavor and really enjoyed it. Currently just a pop up, but they're off to a good start. Excited to see Bit Bakery's story unfold! :)

They have a selection of cookies and some free samples. The basic salt bread and ink bread are available when they open (as well as the cookies) but some additional breads become available after 3pm. I walked around the pop-up district and waited until 3p to try the Ube Salt Bread. I had never tried the original Salt Bread before but the Ube Salt Bread lived up to the hype. It was flaky, crusty, salty, and sweet. The Ube Cream had the right amount of sweetness and they were definitely generous with the amount of cream. I would come back and try the cookies and other salt breads next time. They have everything on display so you can look at the different cookies and salt breads. The inside is mostly a silver and grey going for a retro/modern experience. Music is pretty loud but there is ample seating inside.

TM specializes in Asian baked goods with really fun and creative twists. Every item feels thoughtful, unique, and beautifully made. You can tell there's a lot of care and creativity behind the menu. My personal favorites are the black sesame croissant and the mango sticky rice croissant. Both are incredible -- flaky, perfectly balanced, and unlike anything you'll find at a typical bakery. The flavors are bold but still comforting, and the pastries are always fresh. I've also really enjoyed getting to know the owner, Annie. She clearly puts her heart and soul into every product she makes, and that passion really comes through in the quality and creativity of the pastries. Among the baked goods I sampled were some intriguing flavors with quality, but some items were a bit dry, leading to croissants that were just a bit too flaky to be practical. Still, I think it's reasonable to want to just buy some high-quality Asian baked goods, and when I compare this to the experience at the top places in the area, I don't know why I needed to come here.
