My bf and I are staying next door to this restaurant and decided to try it this morning. It seems like a cute home turned restaurant. Surprisingly a lot of seating indoors and a few tables outdoor. We ordered it for pickup and it was ready within 20 min. The food was decent, but the service was horrible when we picked up our order. We were standing at the door for quite a while before anyone acknowledged us and they definitely saw us. I asked for ketchup and hot sauce to go and the girl gave me little cups and said "they're over there on the table you can grab it." No ketchup packets or anything? We are visiting and don't have condiments at our Airbnb. The servers were all dismissive. Rude service, we definitely won't be back. Unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing. The steak in the steak and eggs was essentially inedible due to its quality and texture. The stuffed French toast was very dry, making it difficult to enjoy. The spinach cream cheese quiche was served cold, and the cream cheese remained in large clumps rather than being incorporated into the dish. The side tomatoes appeared overripe or possibly spoiled, with dark, extremely soft centers. The only item our table enjoyed was the build-your-own sandwich, which was fresh and flavorful. We were in the area for the Astronaut Hall of Fame Induction ceremoney; a friend highly recommended this lovely little spot; there were 8 of us and we wound up with a very nice cozy room with the perfect table for 8. All of us had something different and there was not one complaint, we all loved everything we had. If I lived there, this would be my "go to" breakfast spot. My egg-white omelette with spinach, feta, avocado, onion was on point and I had one GIANTAZZ pancake, it was awesome, the butter and syrup - yum. The food we had for brunch/ lunch and the bakery items were literally exactly what we needed post 13.1 mile run. The service was phenomonal, Chia, was our server and she gives off "cool aunt" vibes and totally hooked us up. She also loved on our pup, Ruby. The menu was so diverse and big, there was something for every desire. I wanted one of everything. Don't pass on the side potato's!! We specifically drove out of the way to come here because my friends said they are just so hospitable and welcoming here. Food was very good as well as our drinks. We stopped in for breakfast before leaving the area. We both ordered the classic? breakfast which came with 2 eggs, slice of toast and 2 sides. I ordered an iced chai latte (a bit pricey at $5.95) and my husband had regular coffee ($4). I ordered sourdough toast and husband had rye toast. I did not get a sourdough vibe from my toast but they were definitely homemade. Eggs were cooked as they should have been. My husband ordered bacon and breakfast potatoes as sides. Here is a tip for someone who does not want to eat 2 sides with breakfast... I ordered breakfast potatoes and a dessert to go for our drive back home later in the day. Let me tell you that the cookie dough brownie was excellent later that day. I did not care for the layer of cream cheese frosting below the cookie dough layer but others may like it. Although enjoyable it was pricey for us ($60 for 2 people for breakfast) since I can make breakfast at home for much less. As a vacation splurge it was a quaint, local place that we enjoyed supporting. Our server was excellent other than not mentioning the quiche of the day or that there is a separate beverage menu on the table (where I would have spotted the pricey chai latte and possibly picked another option). She was just the right amount of attentiveness and very pleasant to talk with. The restaurant itself is located in an older home with rooms to eat in throughout it. I've visited Cocoa Beach a few times and I always seem to choose to come here based on the high yelp ratings. But unfortunately every time I leave a bit underwhelmed. The name speaks for itself! I have been dining at Simply Delicious for almost 18 years now and I can honestly say I have been pleased with every meal I have had. With that said I have noticed the service is not as on point as in my past experiences. From where we were seated you could hear servers having personal conversations which did not seem appropriate to me, don't get me wrong they should absolutely be able to have conversation but not within earshot of diners. I had the half order of stuffed French toast with a side of bacon and red potatoes. When I ordered I originally asked for raspberry filling but then changed to blueberry but must not have been heard because I ended up with raspberry filling ( which was delicious). No problem there it must have been meant to be! The potatoes were perfect as always and the bacon cooked crispy ( a little crispier than I make for myself but it's bacon!!). My husband had quiche ( I believe it was tomato, Swiss and sausage but could be wrong no matter because he loved it! It did seem to take a little longer to receive our dishes ( a couple tables that came after us received theirs before us) this could have been because one of dishes required more time I can't be certain as our server didn't keep us posted or tell us when we ordered it may take a little longer. We both had coffee, for me it was a bit too strong and bitter ( I had to add sugar which I rarely do) but once doctored up it was tasty! All and all a great breakfast and we will certainly be back. What a disappointment! Bearclaws and turnovers were miniature versions of what you'd expect, less than half the normal size. The fillings were so skimpy that I wasn't even sure they existed. You could forgive the tiny portion if the pastry was delicious, but none of the ones we got were great. My wife was on the hunt for biscuits and gravy and this place was an absolute home run. The biscuits we huge, fluffy and buttery. She liked the gravy and there was plenty of it, but I think I could have used more pepper in it. I ordered an omelette with bacon, hot peppers (jalapeños came out, but I was hoping for more of a cherry pepper) and American cheese. Omelette was large and had plenty of mix-ins. Cute breakfast spot by the beach. I went on a Saturday morning around 10 am and there was a short, 15-min wait. We walked to the beach while we waited. After we sat down and ordered, it did take a while for our food to arrive. All of the tables were full and they were very busy.
